this. I ride in cov most weekends, and every time I get asked that. I just say "nothing really, it's got no seat does it?" Just because I'm 95% sure they want to steal itGuaranteed first thing anyone in Coventry says is "how much did your bike cost mate"

Maybe if we run a few files down his shiny stanchions he'll take those THINGS off

It's always interesting- whenever a kid sees me riding, the standard response is "it hasn't got a seat! Whys that mummy/daddy?" And I always stop to listen to what they say, 98% of the time it's: " that's because it's a special/trick/stunt bike, the other two percent is usually "he can't sit down, that's a bit pointless isn't it? He won't get anywhere like that"1 and they're usually the people I ride behind as they walk off, pulling my magura at random intervals and making generally as much annoying noise as possible until i went disc. Now I just glare.

Tobasco chocolate. Dairy milk. Loads of long sleeve shirts, hoodie, bits and bobs, and that new cheaper gopro hero that's on tarty, asked for it specifically because 400+ is too much for a little camera, it's actually really good so far, video quality is just as good as a 3+

I don't know about sassiness and splendour, but the colour I like the most out of those is also dark blue, I think midnight purple would look great too

That thing looks bomb proof, I like it. Nice shape too. But- it looks quite heavy, am I correct in thinking?

could you slap a couple pictures of said frame on this thread so I can have a gander?Don't suppose anyone is still riding a 24UK are they?

been to hospital, they've worked their magic. Also told me I need an operation on my jaw in January. Bugger. Has nothing to do with my chest, but when they xrayed me they found something wierd about my jaw haha. Still hurts if I twist too sharply, so I'll go easy on the riding for a whileBroken rib. Classic signs
-
hmm that actually sounds feasible, I'll go have a search on fractured ribs on google, cheersMaybe a cracked rib? That's up there as far as pain factor goes.

Yo! I was out riding earlier, and crashed hard out of a manual. Now, usually when I loop out if a manual, I just hold on to the bars and out my feet down, no harm done. This time, my foot was caught, so I landed hard on my back. After the brief lapse of hopping around swearing, there wasn't much pain so I continued riding, I went for a 270, and as I twisted my body I felt a sort of "snap", right at base of my sternum, and it must've looked like I was having a heart attack to a bystander, bailed off the bike, leant against a wall grabbing my chest with a pained expression. I haven't ridden (well, yes I have, but not doing any tricks) since that happened earlier, and sitting down, laying down, it doesn't matter, it's quite painful around the base of my sternum whenever I do any movement that involves my upper torso. Any ideas at all? I'm confused as I landed on my back, but the pains more at the front

Me and pogo are going to be riding Birmingham tomorrow, weather looks alright. Anyone care to join?

which echo cranks? A link would be great18-16 will work, but the wheel will be right at the back of the drop outs and it'll feel longer. Also, crank clearance is a massive issue on these frames. You need cranks with loads of offset if you want to run thick brake pads such as French cousts or cnc heatsink yellows. Echo cranks are the best for clearance I've found. If not be prepared to get the grinder out to the back of them

purple rear hub and black seat are the only things id do, I like the colour schemeAnd for Christmas I am getting a purple rear hub, shimano slx cranks, a hope bb and a set of purple hope E4s. I think it would look better if I either rawed the frame or painted it black though...

18:15 with 175 is sounding like the way to go

I recently bought a 26" limey 3 off culshaw95 to go with my limey 320, simply because I'd like to try out a bigger bike, see what happens. The thing is, I've ridden a mod since I started, and I'm not that knowledgable about finer details. 18:15? 18:16? 175mm cranks/170mm? What size stem? I don't know at all. The geo is: wb 1080 +35bb 380cs 1.6kg. Not sure on the reach. I'm around 5" 11. All advice appreciated. Thanks

I love the tread detailing. Looks like the surface of the Death Star!
-
Say if you got a thorn through the tyre, yes it would go flat. It's a messy job to repair it too haha
-
no punch flats, lighter, better feel and shock absorbtion I believe. Rolls easier aswelljesus christ if an argument gets started on this thread out of every other thread im gonna cry.

back on topic - whats the reasons people ride tubeless? ive never really understood it other than the only reason i can think of is to prevent punctured tubes? but then surely the air would come out of the tyre right? educate me!
-
this is quite embarrassing, I actually typed "trials guys" but my autocorrect thought differently, evidentlySpeak for yourself.

if you look up "fat bike tubeless tutorial" on YouTube, one of the first things that comes up explains it nicely. And since fat bikes have drilled rims, we triaks fags can relate to itSurely the low pressures of trials would make it difficult. I'd be interested to know how it's done though. I could see it being good on a street rig though.
-
how?It has been done. Dez Coates from congleton ran a tubeless tyre on the back of his rockman Austin for ages. Lasted him until the tyre wore out
-
yeah the air "burps" are the thing I was worried aboutSeveral have tried on 26", and an equal number complained of too-frequent burps.
I'd imagine it would only be the same or slightly worse on a 19".
-
Tubeless would eliminate the possibility of a pinch flat. The conversion seems simple enough. But could it be done? Or would the forces of trials somehow in-seat the tyre etc
EDIT: un-seat*

Pad: superstar components organic
Time used: one and a half years
Disc: 1 year and 4 months on a 160 mm shimano disc, 2 months on a 160mm shimano ice technologies disc, few weeks on a 203mm shimano ice technologies disc
Brake: shimano Deore for all discs.
Review:160mm shimano disc- bad. It would struggle to hold. In the cold it was appaling.
160mm ice tech disc- Absolutely monstrous bite. Hold would struggle on occasion. Biggest crash do 2014 was due to a pad slippage.
203mm ice tech disc- by far the best pads for the job. It's almost as if they were designed for the 203 mm rotor. Took 30 seconds to bed in, and it's a beast. Brakes not especially noticable preformance wise, but the pads are great. Hasn't slipped at all, it's got some serious bite and hold. I ride my bike almost every day, and the pads still have life in them, which I struggle to believe. They're almost gone but for that length of time I can't fault them. If I could ever find an identical set id buy them again
