  1. i also got some super sick shirts, usually I get the wrong size and don't get the full range of movement on a tuck because the shirt restricts it, new ones are spot on though.
  2. bashplate is off, just using my ti bashring. refer to bike pictures
  3. is it light? no. is it a modern, agile geometry? no. is it strong? probably not. is it, somehow, the most fun ive had on a trials bike, whizzing around town in the pitch black, hucking myself at everything i see? YES. this thing is far, FAR too fun for what it is.
  4. When your parents are so cool they buy you retro parts on purpose, it's brand new.......
  5. Merry Christmas, bastards. Post your Christmas goodies here, if anyone gets bike parts anymore! When I say post, I mean to me.
  6. Everything that has been said, plus two things that i found- I know the hook has worked when i feel a certain springy feeling in my thighs And obviously lean far forward, as far as you can, but keep your knees bent (at least that's what I've found) you hit the wall knees bent, then spring up into an extension using the rear wheel bounce to landing on the top. I didn't always do this and when i did my first vertical hook, through trial and error doing that seemed to work. Also, hooks feel f**king sick. (Bunnyhop brakeless hook)
  7. 13 year bump. Trials has come a long way... Yet kings and Enos haven't changed.
  8. Landed a line that I thought was a year out of my reach at least tonight. When you shout "yes" upon landing, you know it was f**king good. I'm over the moon
  9. my bad. i didnt realise they had two models- post edited.
  10. I've just upgraded from my plastic electrons to the new plastic horizons- it's rare that every fault with a pedal has been fixed with its successor, but nukeproof have done it. For starters: the plastic pins on the main platform have been replaced with metal, whilst the metal ones on the outer edge have been replaced with plastic. I broke the electrons outer metal ones on failed sidehops, and nukeproof have fixed that with the horizon and provided more central grip as a result. Secondly- the outer bolt with the nukeproof logo has been moved inboard on the horizon. (see pictures) I stripped the electrons as a result of failed sidehops and/ or the bike falling over (only my sidehops side pedal, though.) And nukeproof have fixed this issue too with a recessed bolt and a different pedal profile so the pedal body takes the brunt, not the bolt/ thread channel. The super tough plastic body makes a return, as tough as metal pedals, and quieter when you crash and the pedals hit the ground. And also a lighter pedal than metal equivalents. They've added a spanner fitting as well as a Allen fitting on the horizon, which is handy as I struggled to get my electrons off via just a big Allen key, they'd been on there a while. Fixings: 8mm Allen, 15mm pedal spanner, 6mm Allen. Ill be stocking up on these. Downsides: the pins on both are unforgiving and will ruin your shins. Possibly more dirt build up in the horizons new recessed bolt channel.
  11. set up right, they feel more solid than v-brakes! get some linear slick cables if you can
  12. My iPhone died in a puff of smoke so I picked up an android until my replacement comes, been wanting to try this for ages. Really well done and polished- I'll be throwing a donation towards you when I can. Also super addictive...
  13. cable brakes are usually more spongy than hydros, my 2016 xt's are solid- however since theyre hydraulic, you will eventually have to bleed them , so the avid are definitely less maintenance... the bb5 from what i remember are a slightly cheaper build? could be wrong... performance wise they should be very similar.
  14. bb7s set up right are savage. i like xt personally as its what ive used for the past couple years.
  15. A group of riders who enjoy riding there's more to it than that, but that's basically what it is... featuring shub, Matteo, myself, Jacob the orange, Ben, joe urquhart, sam Edwards and now Zheyna. https://www.facebook.com/Street-Trial-Mentality-715336801870170/
  16. I let out a low "oh yes" at the hull line towards the end. Fantastic
  17. In that case, all the japenese riders are using Fiction tyres. Me, @aener and jack use ANML MTT tyres, but you can't buy them in the Uk. Mine are almost gone, and I'll be switching to fiction tyres when mine die. Hope that helps
  18. From what I can remember, you have eagle claw pro race front and back right? 20 and 19. They wear fast but they're actually quite a good street tyre, block uni directional tread, quite minimalist.
  19. Nothing was sped up. That's called "cheating" I think I know which ones you mean, though. There's a couple where the clips are in a different resolution to the rest and the frame rate is off and they look a bit wrong. Cheers guys

    Ghost

these clips were burning a hole in my hard drive, especially since i cant ride well at all currently- so here they are. hook- overs.
  21. Nice bike that. From the spec I can see, looks light but not weak. And those frames ride really nice.
