  1. it wasn't just "performs better" it's not something I can explain, the pads in my saints which have now replaced these only perform as well as the superstar, yet there's much more material. But when I put the saint on a 160 the performance doesn't change, but the superstar just commits suicide. The pads plus that disc just feels awesome
  2. Safe to say I'm fully moist. *saint brofist*
  3. Everyone has these cool colourful signatures while all I could think of was "ice tech" smh

  4. Whenever I ride street with others (every Sunday, more or less) we all hate using the bash in any way, smoothness is what we're aiming for . We see the bash as more of something to protect out freewheel rather than something to be used in getting up objects. My bash is flimsy anyway Id say try and land on the tyre / tyres all the time but if it slips use the bash and claim it still counts
  5. "Can you do a backflip" Every. Single. Time. It's got to a point where I start rolling my eyes before they even finish saying it.
  6. sorry man, couldn't not have m810s why 203mm? Because reasons.
  7. Two quick clips from Sunday. (Unsure if video works, please tell me if it doesn't) finally learnt bunnyhops on my wierd shaped bike trim.15811CE9-27B8-4DFE-80A2-3A050D533A23.MOV
  8. the stopping power is just oooffttttt hmm the simplest answer slightly more likely than a 180, and 180 is slightly more likely than a 160. It's just the amount of leverage over the frame as the callipers distance from the frame increases. That being said, I've only seen the brakes an adapters crack, the one frame I saw crack from a 203mm was with a disc tab that was an afterthought in terms of design
  9. it had a 203mm on the front for 15 weeks, but I took it off and put it on the back. It's only 43mm over a 160 extra disc to hit, if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. I've found ice tech stiffer anyway, and I can't sidehop for shit.
  10. Upgraded to m810s front and rear. Running a 160 ice tech at the front though, if anyone has a 203mm ice tech please get in touch. Anyway- stopping power=yes
  11. That up to front-switch from two at about 3:15 was a pleasure to watch
  12. Pad: superstar components organic Time used: one and a half years Disc: 1 year and 4 months on a 160 mm shimano disc, 2 months on a 160mm shimano ice technologies disc, few weeks on a 203mm shimano ice technologies disc Brake: shimano Deore for all discs. Review:160mm shimano disc- bad. It would struggle to hold. In the cold it was appaling. 160mm ice tech disc- Absolutely monstrous bite. Hold would struggle on occasion. Biggest crash do 2014 was due to a pad slippage. 203mm ice tech disc- by far the best pads for the job. It's almost as if they were designed for the 203 mm rotor. Took 30 seconds to bed in, and it's a beast. Brakes not especially noticable preformance wise, but the pads are great. Hasn't slipped at all, it's got some serious bite and hold. I ride my bike almost every day, and the pads still have life in them, which I struggle to believe. They're almost gone but for that length of time I can't fault them. If I could ever find an identical set id buy them again
  13. this. I ride in cov most weekends, and every time I get asked that. I just say "nothing really, it's got no seat does it?" Just because I'm 95% sure they want to steal it
  14. Maybe if we run a few files down his shiny stanchions he'll take those THINGS off
  15. It's always interesting- whenever a kid sees me riding, the standard response is "it hasn't got a seat! Whys that mummy/daddy?" And I always stop to listen to what they say, 98% of the time it's: " that's because it's a special/trick/stunt bike, the other two percent is usually "he can't sit down, that's a bit pointless isn't it? He won't get anywhere like that"1 and they're usually the people I ride behind as they walk off, pulling my magura at random intervals and making generally as much annoying noise as possible until i went disc. Now I just glare.
  16. " if you sit down, you'll lose your virginity!" -random 12 year old commenting on my lack of seat
  17. Tobasco chocolate. Dairy milk. Loads of long sleeve shirts, hoodie, bits and bobs, and that new cheaper gopro hero that's on tarty, asked for it specifically because 400+ is too much for a little camera, it's actually really good so far, video quality is just as good as a 3+
  18. I don't know about sassiness and splendour, but the colour I like the most out of those is also dark blue, I think midnight purple would look great too
  19. That thing looks bomb proof, I like it. Nice shape too. But- it looks quite heavy, am I correct in thinking?
  20. could you slap a couple pictures of said frame on this thread so I can have a gander?
  21. been to hospital, they've worked their magic. Also told me I need an operation on my jaw in January. Bugger. Has nothing to do with my chest, but when they xrayed me they found something wierd about my jaw haha. Still hurts if I twist too sharply, so I'll go easy on the riding for a while
  22. hmm that actually sounds feasible, I'll go have a search on fractured ribs on google, cheers
  23. Yo! I was out riding earlier, and crashed hard out of a manual. Now, usually when I loop out if a manual, I just hold on to the bars and out my feet down, no harm done. This time, my foot was caught, so I landed hard on my back. After the brief lapse of hopping around swearing, there wasn't much pain so I continued riding, I went for a 270, and as I twisted my body I felt a sort of "snap", right at base of my sternum, and it must've looked like I was having a heart attack to a bystander, bailed off the bike, leant against a wall grabbing my chest with a pained expression. I haven't ridden (well, yes I have, but not doing any tricks) since that happened earlier, and sitting down, laying down, it doesn't matter, it's quite painful around the base of my sternum whenever I do any movement that involves my upper torso. Any ideas at all? I'm confused as I landed on my back, but the pains more at the front
