Hahahaha. The time scale is quite weird, they're probably hoping people don't look that far into it

Glad to see it built up Jason, any chance you can get a video out when the snow clears?

Yeah I'm not denying it's been influenced by all sorts of genres, and there may well be a few metal bands I like, but on the whole, I don't get the same buzz I do from watching/listening to a hardcore band, I like being able to hear the lyrics and make sense of them, and with most metal bands you can't, which is what I dislike about it. I'm not denying some bands I listen to have elements of metal, or indie in them, but if someone offered to play me some metal, I'd most likely turn them down because I just dislike listening to it.

Bristol!! Come on... You'll all get some new myspace pictures out of it if you're riding well
-
What The f**k!! Didn't expect to see you on one of those!! When you riding Bristol next, this weekend?!

I dunno, this is the only album I have.. Okay in that case I dislike stuff such as The Killers, Scouting For Girls, The Hoosiers, Bloc Party, The Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things, Babyshambles, Kings Of Leon, etc. I dunno what sub genre of music they come under, but that's the kinda stuff I dislike. I guess it's just considered pop music these days as it's all in the charts.

Best news.

I'll admit, I dislike those two genres of music, but I didn't actually go into any further detail to what my musical tastes are, did i? Just a quick glance through my iTunes, there's shit from Björk, Sia, Zero7, Cascada, Boards Of Canada, Chromeo, The Faint, Fischerspooner, Imogen Heap, Pendulum, Radiohead, TV On The Radio, Armor For Sleep, Brand New, Coheed and Cambria, Jimmy Eat World, The Mars Volta, Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Buck 65, Cecil Otter, The Roots, Dangermouse & Jemini, Dangerdoom, Dangermouse & Jay Z, Dilated Peoples, El-P, Eminem, Jurrasic 5, Method Man, MF Doom, Pharcyde, RJD2, Saul Williams, Sage Francis, Wu Tang, Final Fantasy, Modest Mouse, Genesis, Justin Timberlake, Level 42, The Smiths, Talk Talk, etc. etc. etc. I could go on, but believe me, my music is not limited to JUST hardcore, I listed to all sorts of shit. With over 9000 songs it would be near impossible to just like one genre of music. EDIT: I worked out the other day the first two hip-hop/rap songs I remember listening to properly were Busta Rhymes - Woo Ha (Got you All In Check) and Jurrasic 5 - Concrete Schoolyard. Busta Rhymes - The Coming and J5 - s/t were released in 1996/1997 respectively, so it's safe to say I've been listening to hip-hop for the last 11-12 years, it wasnt until about 5 years ago I started to get into music such as The Mars Volta, Coheed, etc. etc. as I considered "rock" music to be shit. Recently my music tastes have become so diverse I regularly sit around listening to Craig David, Cascada, JT, etc, because it puts me in a decent mood. I think I'm one of the least narrow minded people ever when it comes to music.

Awesome, can't wait to get my hands on one

I guess it's the fact from the amount of shows I've been to, I've watched numerous hardcore, metal, pop punk, ska, indie, rock, etc. bands, and I've seen a few which are a lot more talented than A7x, both musically and lyrically, yet because they're playing small venues for die hard fans, they dont get nearly as much recognition as some bad band whos got lucky in striking a record deal.
-
My mistake, my point still stands about looking/sounding the same thouth. I don't have a higher opinion of music, I know f**k all about it really. Wrong was the wrong word, it just get's me worked up that Muel rates such a bad band so highly. There are so many better bands than them, it just annoys me. We're not gonna fall out, I'm just trying to make you see that A7x aren't this super amazing band that you tend to see them as. I'm pretty sure anyone with any knowledge of metal, such as Circus, doesn't regard them as anything special what so ever.
-
They're just a generic grindcore band really, they're just a band my friend told me to check out because of the speed at which they play, which I found pretty impressive, and I thought I'd show Muel to try and prove to him that A7x really aren't all that. What the f**k does "metalcore" mean, according to wikipedia, "Metalcore is a music fusion genre that incorporates elements of heavy metal and hardcore punk." It then goes on to list bands such as Madball, Biohazard, Converge, Earth Crisis, In Flames, Killswitch, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, and As I Lay Dying. From what i've heard of those bands, A7x sounds NOTHING like any of them. You obviously have no idea what music I listen to, I hate indie with a passion, I got hold of a few albums last night and the night before, they include Miles Away - Rewind, Repeat, Betrayed/Champion - Split, Sinking Ships - Meridian, New Found Glory - Hits, Down To Nothing - Unbreakable. I'm pretty sure there are only a few members of this forum who listen to the same main genres of music as me, those are Sam and Dan from Oxford. The thing is you may think they're writing brilliant songs, but they're really not. Most people in this thread are criticising you for being so obsessed with them, yet you don't f**king listen, you still think they're the best thing since sliced bread. I guess we're listening to music for different reasons, I listen to it for the lyrical content first, and the technicality second, even if you're listening to A7x on a technical level, they're still not very impressive. I really can't take their lyrics seriously, as they dont talk about real things, for example... Even their wiki page is written by an idiot... "Screaming First album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet was an all screaming record." I can honestly say I've never heard any band describe an album as "all-screaming", I understand what they're saying, but it's a stupid way of describing it. What's the deal with them all having biblical stage names too, surely that has to be some kind of joke :/ I rarely listen to pop music, because it's pretty much all shit. Well, IMO you're wrong, I don't see what the attraction is in most of those bands you just listed, I think Metallica are one of the most overrated bands in the world too. I tried to recommend you music previously, but as far as I can see you completely ignored me, and then described my music taste as "indie". Indie is a f**king joke, it's supposed to be short for individual, as far as I'm aware, but every band sounds the f**king same and all the kids dress the f**king same too, they cruise around like a bunch of clones. In short, A7x are a joke, and the sooner you see that, the sooner you will start to become respected for having slightly acceptable music taste. EDIT: Typos

Interesting stuff, I just read this about it, "At the end of the training, about half of those who trained took the 300 test, Twight says. Andrew Pleavin, who plays Daxos, leader of the Arcadians, was the only actor to take it. He finished in 18 minutes and 11 seconds."
-
f**king hell, trains are hassle, might be able to get my mate to drive up, if not I'll be looking to get into Bristol for 12, f**k am I sitting on a 25 minute train journey for an hour and 15 minutes!! If not then I'll probably cruise up Monday, everyone gonna be around then?

You need to listen to some good music and realise how shit A7x are. Although Kerrang is usually full of shit, their 1K review of one of A7x's albums isn't to be ignored, it's because they suck a big fat dick. I don't get what's to like about them, please could you list the merits of them? Because I could probably reel off 10 bands who do everything they do better, faster, heavier, and in a more entertaining manner. A7x are a f**king pop metal band, get some decent music in your ears... and no I don't mean Judas f**king Priest or whatever other god awful shite you listen to, I mean actual good music. You wanna see some decent tech metal, check out Brain Drill, http://www.myspace.com/braindrill Check the videos of their drummer... he plays at about 250-300 BPM, and is being called one of the 10 fastest drummers in the world. Also their bass players 7 string tapping technique is f**king nuts. I should mention this is all coming from someone who strongly dislikes metal.

Come on guys, I'm free for the next... week or so. I need pictures for my uni project so if anyone is up for riding let me know and i'll attempt to get my ass outta bed and on a train to ride.

They're what Chris King use on their HD axles, they're also what Hope, BT, Try All, Echo, Monty, etc. use on their hubs, so they're not that bad.
-
Sick man, you've got some power that's for sure.

True that, my Louise FR has been nothing but good times, it's a piece of piss to bleed and hasn't f**ked up in over 18 months of use/sitting in my room doing nothing...
