  1. Well, I'm new to the sport, so please do explain your point of view - Shimano hubs, I understand your opinion on this, but replacing them also means having to re-spoke (correct word?) the wheels completely. Perhaps in the future - Bash ring; Working on it - Mismatched brakes: That I do not understand. They seem to function well - Grips: I've bought them on purpose and I really like them - Much better then the specialized grips which were on there - Rear rim: I have no idea, please share. - Rear tyre: Also bought this one on purpose, looking at many reviews for trials and must say that i'm very happy with it (Had a Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evo on it first, and up to 3 snake bites in 1 hour). I can also lower the pressure to about 15 PSI with no issues... But please share your thoughts as well -
  2. I bought this bike about 6 weeks ago, and have changed quite a lot already since that time: Current specs: Frame: Echo (old) Fork: Koxx Rear rim: TryAll (not sure which type) Rear Tire: Continental Der Kaiser Projekt 2.4 Rear hub: Shimano FH-M525A Front rim: Not sure Front Tire: Continental X-King Performance (Reversed rotating direction for more grip with hooks etc) Front Hub: Shimano HB-M525 Sprockets: 22T front, 17T rear Pedals: BBB BPD-32 Front Brake: Magura Louise with 180mm Magura Disc Rear Brake: Avid Elixir CR with 180mm Shimano Disc I'm considering changing the gear ratio, but not sure yet.
  3. Hi guys, I've started with trials about 6 weeks ago and am practicing approx 1-1,5 hour each day. Progression is noticeable, but I'm far from good I started with the 20" Onza Rip Mod and shortly after bought a 26" street bike which consists of many different parts (Echo frame, Koxx fork, Magura Louise 2011 Front disc brake (160mm), Avid Elixir Rear brake with Shimano 160mm disc, Deore Freehub, etc). It should be sufficient for now... But now I noticed a really nice almost new Inspired Fourplay Pro for sale in my region, and I really like it If I (can) sell both these bikes I still come up approx. 400 euros short for the 2nd hand Fourplay Pro. That's no problem if it's actually worth it, but it's still a lot of money to start with this hobby... So, my question (finally :D), is it, especially for someone with my (lack of) experience (and body posture: 1,81m @91kg, muscular) worh buying the FPP or should i first continue practicing on my bikes? Keep in mind that this sport is rarely practiced in Holland and therefore not many bikes are for sale (or sold). It can be a great oppurtunity for me (The asking price is 950 euro for the FPP, only used once). Thanks!
  4. Hi guys, I'm Mark, from the Netherlands, and started Bike trial approx. 1,5 month ago. Making great gains, but still have a lot to learn. First bought the Onza Rip (2014) 20" bike, but short after bought a customized 26" Echo / Koxx street bike (which I'm customizing even more ). I'm practicing every day, and also spend a lot of time reading up and watching videos. Aim is to play around with my bike like Danny MacAskill, Ali Clarkson, Fabio Wibmer, etc.
