  1. Just to confuse you even more Bongo - have you considered the one with HDMI output? So you can hook it up to the big screen properly and play HD-DVD when it comes out.
  2. First year/student nights are awesome. My halls were less than a minute's walk from one of the biggest nights of the week with £1/pint/vod&mixer all night. Pretty easy to get twatted AND have change from a tenner for a kebab. The good old days. Now my mates are more interested in upmarket places in town which cost loads more for a drink and then it's the cost of taxi home again. Humbug
  3. His foot was on the line way before he lifted it and the ball went down. So it wasn't a try. But I love the way everyone in England now feels hard done to
  4. Nah, I'm just considerably richer than Yooooouuuuu. Actually not this year at all. £576/term loan. WTF?
  5. Thing is though, food is maybe ~£12-13 a week if you really suffer and buy only cheap stuff. Or it's £20 and you can eat properly. The difference is only the cost of a couple of pints. I think you can see where I'm going with this.
  6. Surely value for money is the least of your worries for a last meal? (There's not really any other reason to go to an all-you-can-eat buffet. Though I suppose you wouldn't have to deal with the food poisoning the next day.)
  7. It's kinda almost excuseable if you're doing photography though.

    Guitar Hero

Yeah my sister has it and she's awesome at it. I played it and I just get annoyed that I can play the song on a real guitar but not in the bloody game
  9. Lasagne fo' sho'. And I'm having it tonight
  10. To be fair, living as a student is easy. Your loan etc is easily enough to live off if you eat sensibly and don't fritter your money away. It's just the other stuff that's expensive - going out, CDs, camera stuff etc (I bet you spent a good bit of loan on that eh?).

    Guitar Hero

It is a really cool game. Whether it's worth the money is up to you - I wouldn't buy it but then I never buy games unless they're under a tenner.
  12. They're good, basically the same as the Ashton ET 24 that started it all.
  13. You're not allowed images in sigs. I removed it.
  14. There's an awful lot of geniuses on here. Either that or the test is shit
  15. I think I'm right in saying that a King BMX hub shares the same shell as the ISO/classic. It's only the freehub/axle that's different. So perhaps a similar thing could be done with a Hope Pro II.
  16. I'm sure you'll calm down after the first few weeks and won't save so money. It's pretty obvious though - cook proper food (not takeaway) and don't spend so much going out. White ace is your friend. But most people have overdrafts, too.
  17. I've got a 24" Maxxis swampthing, seems to be OK.
  18. Shhhh John. ISIS BBs are still rubbish. Beg, borrow or steal enough money for the Tensiles + a decent(ish) BB. You'll thank us in the end.
  19. Get Crucial as Jon said and they will guarantee that it works in whatever computer. I bought some off there for my computer (same as yours). Although eBuyer seems to be much cheaper: http://www.ebuyer.com/cat/Memory---Laptop/...DDR-SODIMM-2700 Bear in mind that the current 512Mb that's in there is in the form of 2x256Mb, with one fixed and non-changeable. So the maximum you can put in is 1x1Gb stick which brings the total to 1.25Gb. If you buy a 512Mb stick you'll only be up to 768 Mb which is hardly an increase on the 512. I hope that all makes sense.
  20. But John, no ISIS BB will last two years. Not if you use, it anyway.

    Tf's Pet!

I know. But since we were being picky, I thought it would be best to get it perfect
  22. That's quite true and very helpful... But if you'd read the thread you'd realise that he has to buy something new.

Also, technically, ellipses should be three dots, not two.
