  1. A shorter way of saying that would be: Can Jesus make a rock which is too heavy for himself to carry?
  2. 800 sets sounds like quite a lot to me, they're not really THAT limited are they? But even so, looks like a pretty good deal for £100/pair.
  3. Yes I knooooooww I was talking about the other ones They're not THAT bad for a front hub. I mean for what it's worth I'd definitely spend the extra £25 and get a Hope but they're not so terrible.
  4. There's a few other things like the iPhone has mail/maps/weather/camera/bluetooth/external speaker and you can edit calendars on the iPhone but not on the touch. Basically it's like a crippled iPhone, presumably so it won't cut into the sales of the phone too much.

    Media Converter

Just use VLC player to play the file, no need to convert it.
  6. Yeah. They definitely take some getting used to, anyway. Mine has loads of quirks that I know about, but for people who aren't as computer-literate it would be a right pain in the arse. Hopefully Apple have done something to change all that.
  7. Mod-man, you really aren't fooling anyone. If you just post properly then you will get validated. But you're not going to get validated because you say you're 47. A 47 year old with bad spelling and rubbish posts won't get validated any faster than you.
  8. Calm down, do not feed the trolls dickheads.
  9. The linkage will just develop play over time - there's not much you can do about it really (other than buy a new brake). Just get over it and ride, the power is still the same with a bit of a wobble.
  10. To be fair, those old T-Rexes are probably more similar to jump bikes that modern trials bikes... I imagine it'd be fine. Nick: That's exactly the bike I was talking about - I forgot they came in two colour schemes. That one should be OK with sus forks. MX comps are nice forks for the money but they're more like XC forks than DJ. They should still be OK though.
  11. Those (BMX) hubs look awesome. Two things though - you have to take your wheel apart completely to change a spoke, and there's no disc mount. Pimp though!
  12. If you're actually serious about that offer, be careful. If it IS stolen, apart from the fact that the guy selling it might be a dodgy character, if it turns out to be stolen you could lose your money when it gets confiscated by the police. I would steer well clear.
  13. They did. And then we all got over it and carried on anyway. Basically at the start of the mp3 era (maybe 6-7 years ago I guess?) loads of record companies were saying how ripping a CD or copying it to an mp3 player was illegal. But then they all realised that mp3s were the future and they stopped moaning about it, and started cashing in on it (à la iTunes).
  14. Yeah, Phil's right. You just need a newer BB tool. The new Shimano one has a larger internal bore so it should fit too
  15. There was a topic on these a few weeks ago so I'm afraid it's not news. But pretty pictures all the same
  16. You can run 2 screens with different resolution no probs
  17. Yeah but no hard drive on earth can actually read data at those speeds so the speed of the bus isn't that important. Since laptop drives have even slower rpms and slower seek times than normal hard drives, the speed of the interface isn't that important. You can make whatever folders you want
  18. Unless it's the old T-Rex (different shape, blue+silver, about 5 years old now) it'll be rubbish for jumps. You could put forks on but it'll raise the BB even higher and even with rigid forks, the BB is already higher than most jump bikes. Marzocchi DJs from a few years back will have brake bosses and ought to be cheap. Check eBay.
  19. They usually are. I know I had to pay a few quid more to get a Firewire one. Obviously if you have a spare slot then firewire's convenient. But USB2 is usually slightly faster, especially for smaller files. Neither of them is significantly slower than the internal hard drive. In fact, since the MacMinis use laptop hard drives, a 'normal' external hard drive will probably be faster even. As Jon said, try and get one which doesn't need a power supply if you plan on taking it places. When you get it, you will need to make sure it's formatted in FAT32 so that both PCs and Macs can read and write to it.
  20. I knew he was joking. It IS kinda obvious, even if it wasn't that funny
  21. I would probably have something gay like Tom's or 3.14159265358979323pod
  22. May I suggest "Tomm rocks \m/"
