I agree, do/say/wear what you want. Don't be a fashion whore. But that's not really my point - it's not that trials riders don't have any fashions, it's just that there's some really weird ones (fluoro stuff etc like I said before). The thing with trials that makes it mostly uncool is that the 'best' riders these days are the ones who get that extra half an inch, basically every little helps. So if your disco shoes (I like that name!) make you go 1mm higher, they are worth it. You'd never get that sort of attitude in BMX. I'm not worried about being cool - I'm 22, farrr too old for all that. But I do agree with Martyn when he said trials has a bit of an image problem

He never would though! Have you read his rant a few months back about the lack of fashion in trials? To be honest I'm with Wayne on this one, trials has some really weird 'fashions'. I mean like fluoro rims, stupid-looking shoes, anodised everything. It's not cool, and I'm not quite sure why it's come about. Trials will never be a cool sport when people are wearing Ribos. FACT!

Likewise, if someone else's dog got killed I wouldn't really care, but if it was my own dog I'd be pissed. I don't care about that bull dying any more than any other bull really.

Yeah, you can get it back if you're not supposed to be paying it. I would have thought that you'd have paid Australian tax when you were in Aus? So I would guess you would start fresh when you got here but I don't know. Call your local tax office, they're usually pretty helpful. Either way, you're supposed to be paying the tax (and you can't avoid it), or you'll get it back. So don't worry. Just make sure you fill in the appropriate forms etc.

The problem is not people catching TB, it's other cows catching it. For a cow that's not going to meet other cattle, I imagine the risk is pretty small. There are a lot of people here who completely refuse to think about things from any point of view other than their immediate thought. Insulting people because they think differently to you is just daft, but a lot of people on here seem to think it's OK. The pet analogy is pretty apt really - you wouldn't like it if your dog had to be put down for similar reasons. Personally, I can't really decide on the subject. Laws are laws, and the country has to uphold these, especially when it potentially involves lots of farmers and their livelihoods. But I can't help thinking that the bull probably didn't need to die, but it did and it pissed a lot of people off.

If you want super cheap but decent forks, mx comps are pretty good. Those rock shox look well old! As for the hub, some hubs are convertible to 20mm, like Hope Pro IIs. Yours probably aren't, so you'd have to get new wheels. I wouldn't bother.

The first one is a mod. You can get programs to change the car attributes - I.e. acceleration, top speed etc. The second one I'm not so sure about. I suspect they've got some low gravity or something on, and I think you can get cheats so that you never come off the bike. Pretty cool though Start here http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/index.php

Best thing to do would be to speed it up loads and have the benny hill music. That'd be great! If you wanted to totally rip off David Attenborough, Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros is cool.
