Yeah, in the same way that we used to try and drown people to see if they were innocent; if they floated they were guilty, so they were killed.

What are you doing using Nero to look at pictures? I use Nero for burning CDs and it works well. On the subject of FF, I can't live without mouse gestures any more. All the computers I use have them, and if I go on one without, I get really frustrated. So I don't really care much else, FF+mouse gestures is all I need.

Yeah, exactly. If there's a census on religion, I am probably down as C of E, even though I haven't believed in (a Christian) God since I was about 6. But I've been Christened and all that when I was younger. So I think you're probably right, if you count the church-going population of Britain, there are not many Christians. In fact, I wonder what the numbers of church goers is compared to mosque-goers.

I love the fact that suddenly it's the size of St Paul's that's the issue here. It's like saying the Mona Lisa is a rubbish painting because it's not as big as something I scrawled on a bus top. The other stupid thing is how everyone seems to think we're a Christian country, and that St Paul's is our national icon. When is the last time you went to church? In this country, more people follow football as a religion than Christianity.

You're a little bit off there. The cups for threaded heatsets were still pressed into the frame the same way. The difference is that the steerer tube (of the forks) is threaded and you tension the headset by screwing down onto that.

Round here we get loads more trouble from white yoofs than anyone else... Anyway, I thought this thread was about muslim people, not simply anyone who isn't white.

I like the extra buttons. Actually I'm lying - I'm getting confused because I keep editing posts instead of quoting them because the buttons are all different Thankfully we've gone waaay off topic

I think difference is that Hollowtech I used octalink BBs, whereas Hollowtech II use the special all-in-one crank/axle/spindle

Yeah, your balance and skill will come back much quicker than you think (Not sure about stamina though!)

Careful what you say. This sort of thread can get very heated. Those of you with racist views, keep them to yourself.

What's the point in watching any pro sport then? I can't say I find it that exciting, but it's very impressive. The last stage they did was an average of 24 mph, over 5 hours (200k) and up some of the biggest hills in europe. Madness. I enjoyed the crash t'other day though http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lmIJjR1kdYw

Yes, it is. There are many people who would say that religion was more important than health etc. You can't just say that's what everyone should do because it's what YOU think. I bet the proportion of white people who are scallies/pikeys/tossers is many times higher than the proportion of muslims who are terrorists. And to keep these scallies at bay, apparently the national average is for local councils (I.e. YOU, the taxpayer!) to pay £40 per teenager per year, just to keep them occupied throughout the summer (Youth clubs, skate parks etc). Think how many teenagers there are in the country. Madness. The flipside of this mosque business is that maybe if other countries see the UK as a progressive muslim-tolerant society, there won't be as many terrorist attacks aimed at us. This thread is probably a good example of what people think Britain is like. I'll admit I hadn't heard of this story before this thread, but I've done a bit of googling, and it seems like most of the money is coming from Saudi Arabia anyway? So it's not even 'your' being spent. NINJA EDIT: lol Janson, glad that didn't go unnoticed.

'British Ways' - is this intolerance of all muslims? I don't really know what being British is these days, but it seems you have to read the Mail and hate immigrants (I use the term loosely since most people can't seem to differentiate 'immigrants' and 'brown people'). I don't really care. It's not like Ken Livingstone is stealing out of your pocket to fund terrorism, which is what you people seem to think. £100 is a flash in the pan for this country, it's nothing at all. Plus I expect most of the people who signed this petition are bigots, and I certainly wouldn't be putting my name down next to theirs.

That's nothing to do with it being on TTL though. That's just using the onboard flash to trigger the other one.

One way I really like when it works well is to use the 'replace colour' command. It's on the Image > Adjustments menu. It doesn't often work very well, especially around the edges of blocks of colour, but on your picture it's great and so simple (probably because it's a fuzzy fuzzy camera phone pic in the first place). Duplicate the layer first (always do this, it's good practise, plus you'll see why later ) - Drag the layer icon onto the 'create new layer' button below it. Image > Adjustments > Replace colour Use the dropper tool that automatically appears to select the colour you want to change (I.e. the maroon of the car). Increase the fuzziness to capture the edges (as a consequence you'll also be changing more bits of the photo than you need to (E.g. the petrol can in the foreground), but we'll sort that out later. Use the colour sliders at the bottom to choose/tweak your new colour. Click OK Then to get rid of the bits you changed colour unintentionally (The fuel can etc), grab the eraser tool and start rubbing out the bit of the top layer you don't want any more. This way the original bit underneath will show though. (You could also use layer masks for this step, which would be better. But I can't be arsed explaining that right now) And then just add a curves layer to bump up the contrast... Voila

I don't know if they are the same these days, but I had some hollowtech cranks a few years back. The spider was held onto the crank with splines and a press-fit which was fine for MTB use, but as soon as you start putting a lot of torque through it and bashing it, the spider worked loose and rattled. So if they're still like that, avoid at all costs. Plus like Zordon says, you have to use a spider + bashring (= more money) and it doesn't look as nice etc. Bear in mind, for that price (plus the price of a decent bashring) you could get TWO sets of second-hand square taper ISIS middleburns, or brand new Middleburns/Tensiles etc.

That's crazy. I always wondered whether you kept one (or more?) of everything? All these Deng parts must be pretty annoying - having to stock about 30 identical brake levers that differ only in their CNCing and colour

Have you got a filter (or something) window open in front of it? Other than that, your computer is probably just f**ked.

My flatmate has just lost a load of her work because something has happened with her memory stick. It's a Corsair flash voyager so I don't believe it's the fault of the memory stick itself, I blame her spyware-infested computer. Annnyway, there must be some program you can use to recover the data that's free. I know Sandisk used to give a program away with their memory cards, has anyone got it or something similar?

No. It's something to do with the way they're made - in order to have straight chainstays, the BB shell is very wide, so the BB has to be custom-fitted. It's kinda OK if it's a UN53 (they last for years) but when they need changing it's a royal pain in the arse. Which is why Clive Leeson doesn't like ISIS - the BB's don't last long enough.

One of my friends got them talking about blood transfusions, and it ended up with the Jehovah's Witnesses walking away with a leaflet about giving blood

So now the only problem is the Royal Mail Strike that's happening tomorrow
