    Tv Show Ratings

We've run out of Bort license plates in the gift shop! Yes, I'm talking about the Simpsons. Yes, it's the best thing that's ever been on TV. FACT!
  2. Yeah, that's some good knowledge Duane, I never knew any of that. This I can testify about - it completely screwed up my first paint-job. I used random spray paint bought from a DIY shop, with Halfords laquer and the two reacted badly, the paint all bubbled up. If you get all the paint from the same place (E.g. Halfords), it ought to be ok though. Back on topic, just roughen up the surface a bit with some coarse wet+dry, then some finer stuff.
  3. Go and try some on, it's the only way.
  4. How many people do you know who have a King tool lying around?!
  5. It doesn't look very good at all. Those wheels will all be machine built, no? Anyway, you wouldn't get those marks on the rim, even if you did use a wheel building stand. Like someone said, it's probably an ex-demo wheel or something. Perhaps someone was spraying something nearby and got paint on it? I've got specks of white paint on my glasses for this reason, haha. I'd probably just keep the wheel (I don't think I could wait another week or so to ride) and steer clear of the shop in the future. But have a word, see what they can offer. They probably will (should) be very apologetic.
  6. What is this irbus.sys? I don't have that, where did you get it from? When you first plugged the remote in, it will have installed some (wrong) stuff. You might have to remove this in device manager.
  7. Just tell them you're not interested, and hang up. The only reason they keep ringing is because you weren't assertive enough the first time.

    Die Hard 4.0

It came out on July 4th. I just went to the normal cinema Yeah, it's cool. Most of it I thought was ace, only the plane bit was annoyingly unrealistic. And I thought it was actually pretty funny, considering it's not a comedy. But yeah, I liked it
  9. 3.1 miles each way. Road bike Yours doesn't sound too bad, I commuted (by car) about 20 miles each way on a busy M60 every day for a couple of months. I don't particularly mind commuting, you get used to it. Get an iTrip though.
  10. Now just get it to bring all the refs from the references forum and we're up and running
  11. Oh right, that's pretty gay. I've sent it again as a zip. If that doesn't work, get a different email provider
  12. GO to the house it's been delivered to on your girlfriend's road?
  13. If you measure a 26" wheel + tyre, they are usually nearer 27". The rules are just that the wheel has to be > 26". The Monty 25" wheels (do they still do these?) are slightly over 26", so they pass. But you have to buy a Monty frame, rim, tyre
  14. I'm not sure. For that sort of money, it's probably a copy. In which case you might as well just download Vista from torrents or whatever, since that would be equally illegal. Have you read that link in the other thread I posted about getting the remote working with XP home? I've got XP Pro here so I can get the files and email them to you if you need them? Just tell me what files you need and your email address.
  15. Oh I see, why didn't he say that then? Unless you have loads of really important stuff, I wouldn't bother. Just format it normally.
  16. It's working for me now, finally
  17. You don't need to do that. Assuming it's Windows XP, you just put the Windows install disk in and it asks if you want to format the drive (Unless the HP disk is weird, it might be)
  18. You could try changing the IP address. I'm not sure what it'll do, but it's worth a try.

    Wheel Dishing

Yes. The only slight problem with this method is if you have really loose spokes. If you loosen a tight spoke half a turn, it will lose a lot of tension. If the spoke is already loose, half a turn will make very little difference. What I tend to do is to go around the wheel first and tighten all the spokes to similar tensions. Basically do up any spokes that are really loose. That way, you can simply tighten one side and loosen the other. Though you may end up having to straighten the wheel slightly afterwards either way.
  20. I used http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ a while ago. I thought it was quite good - Until I tried the official MCE, that is, which is just awesome. There are others that I haven't used: http://sites.mobile.yahoo.com/go/tv/features#feature_dvr http://www.mythtv.org/ (linux based) http://www.gbpvr.com/ You can hack the remote to work with any version of windows, as I pointed out in the other thread. But if you can get hold of XP MCE, I think it's great. P.S. The Vista home versions come with MCE as standard, so if you were thinking of buying a copy, it might be worth getting Vista.

    Bike Build

That's cool. Really mesmerising. Not enough bodging though, you even had a headset press

    T33zr & Osp

What did that poor Golf do to deserve that?! Looks fun though!
  23. Are you running a firewall (Like Norton Internet Security, ZoneAlarm etc) on your computer?
