I tell you what's annoying - People who get on their high-horse claiming we're all ignorant for believing the media, and believing what everyone else does. Within about 10 minutes of seeing the first 9/11 plane hit the towers, I though to myself 'I wonder if this was all done by the US government for oil'. No, that won't work. When you put the wheel back in and pump the brake, it will just re-adjust the pads to where they were. Try screwing in the reach adjuster (little allen key thing on the bottom of the lever blade.

If it's really terrible, then you've probably got some oil or something on the pads. Take the disc off, give it a good wash in soapy water. Do the pad-burning thing to burn off any oil.

That's how it's being dressed up, but in reality I'm sure that it's aimed more at people who already smoke and making them stop. Most people I know who smoke only do so when they go out at weekends or whatever. A complete ban on smoking in pubs/bars means that most of them will stop, which is only a good thing for everyone involved (except, perhaps, the tobacco companies).

From what I understand, Plasma technology is better for creating black tones - I.e. the blacks are very black compared to a normal CRT or LCD. This is why they have a good contrast ratio compared to LCDs. They also use a lot of power, though.
