RAW support with all the camera specific stuff like lens correction etc, Smart sharpen, all the spot-healing jazz. The HDR tool I would use if it worked. But I take your point, there's not THAT much difference. Probably not £150 of difference for me, anyway Having said that, most of that stuff can be done in Lightroom, so perhaps lightroom + PS 7.0 would be a good compromise.

Canon 30D Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Sigma 10-20mm f/4.0-5.6 Sigma 55-200mm f/3.5-6.3 I am actually quite content with all that. I've got 10mm --> 200mm so a very decent range, and I like all of these lenses, I've had decent pictures from all of them.

It would seem that it's MCE/XP Pro only: Considering you're running an *illegal* copy of XP, why not just 'buy' MCE instead? That would solve all the problems. Seriously though, I have MCE and it totally rocks. From http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/input-devi...rk-xp-home.html By the sounds of it, it shouldn't be too hard to get it to work if you know someone with either MCE or XP pro.

I think you're right, it's a bit unfair to pick on Damon. He just epitomises the TGS 'style' that people seem to be into. Whilst he is going big AND seeking more lines etc, other people seem to be emulating him by simply doing sidehops/tap/gaps. So when people criticise him, they are really just criticising the style. I agree, his video 6 is awesome. But I still prefer the vid of Dan Jones

£20 minimum - that's what it cost me to get into my house when I was locked out. Not sure if it's the same for cars though. Worth a phone call?
-
Try harder with the coat hanger thing? I have seen it done and it does work... Guess it depends on the car model though, not sure about an old Polo. You could always smash the window yourself, though that isn't very helpful. Or cover the car up so no-one can see the keys on show.

Yeah, do that. The old drive will probably be set to CS anyway (So you don't need to do anything with the jumper), but if the new computer doesn't recognise it, turn the computer off and change the jumper to CS, then restart.
-
The thing is, all you people who want him unbanned only want him here so you can laugh at him. Which is a bit cruel really. Plus he only ever adds bullshit to topics anyway, so it's not like he's a useful member to have around. Anyway, never gonna happen so this thread might as well be closed.

Yeah, CS2 is a fair bit better. Not used CS3 though (Or CS1 for that matter). I use quite a lot of stuff like the smart sharpen and various filters that were new in CS2, so I wouldn't like to downgrade. Photoshop 7 is really snappy though - my comp occasionally struggles with CS2 if I do a lot, I imagine CS3 would be worse. But if you've got an old computer, Photoshop 7 is probably where it's at. Plus until you use the newest version, you don't know what you're missing - I doubt I could go back to PS7 without getting really pissed off

Nor do half the people in this thread mate...

Yeah I don't find it particularly funny any more. It's just sad

No it's not. It's much more similar to an Ashton ET or something than to a T-Rex. Just because it looks the same, don't mean it rides the same I wrote what I think of the HERE , not gonna type it all out again. P.S. Shansen, your Zoot looks good

It's a shame so many people are having trouble, because we need more videos like this. My PC is 3 years old (Athlon 64) and it runs perfectly. On the other hand, my Mac is 2 years old and just says "Er, no thanks". After about 10 minutes loading time (no exaggeration, I went away and had a poo and it was still not ready when I got back), it manages about 3 fps. I think this is mainly because it's wmv and macs hate wmv. I suspect if it was h264 it'd be OK.
-
Well that was just silly really, wasn't it? Awesome riding. And your front brake must be stupidly powerful. How long do your forks last?
-
That was awesome. I've never really seen the point in HDV before, but that video was so much prettier than anything else I've seen. I liked it a lot. Riding was immense too, just crazy stuff. If I had to criticise (and I don't), I'd agree with this. The effect looks OK, just not all the time please

Well, there are other options like Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop Elements. They still cost money, but they're nowhere near as much as Photoshop. I like Picasa (by google). It's free and it's a great little program. Pretty basic, but you can do some adjustments to your pictures if that's all you're after. I can't really comment on the GTK issues, I know some open source stuff (like GIMP) can be pretty difficult to install etc. I don't even know if it's Vista-compatible. I assume it is. It will just be a case of installing the correct stuff, but it's never easy! P.S. Downloading photoshop is BAD.

£105 for students... I think. I might buy it. It's probably worth having, you can do a lot with it, from full-on amazing graphics to just putting crap filters on your camera phone pictures. The only downside is it's not the easiest program in the world to use, but that's only because it's so ridiculously powerful.

How the hell would Pete know what goes on at BAE? Seriously though, he's a liar to the point where it's completely abnormal. There's clearly something wrong with the boy so for that reason alone I reckon we should leave him alone.
-
It's not about which takes the most skill/practise though, is it? It's about what people enjoy. I totally agree with you - if people are enjoying what they are doing, then I say carry on. I wonder what people must think though - they see people on funny looking, really expensive bikes, with years of practise, just jumping up the highest wall they can find, and jumping off it again. I bet they must think it's completely pointless. And then I think that people might think of me like that...
-
There's not really much difference. 2MP more on the 5700, but that's irrelevant really. The 5600 has RAW, too, which means you can potentially get more control over your pictures IF you know what you're doing. But for most people that's not an issue, either. I'd probably go for whichever is cheaper
-
I've never used GIMP but I understand it's basically just the same as photoshop. So you get your pictures which have to be taken in a special way (camera COMPLETELY still, on continuous drive). Then you load the pictures all into one GIMP window, on different layers. Choose one to have at the bottom which will also include the background etc. Then it's just a case of editing the other pictures on top of that in whatever way you want. The simplest way is probably to use the eraser on the above layers.

Yeah, but that's what I mean. He designed it to withstand a plane crash, but no-one really knew what would happen in the situation, because it never happened before. That's what unprecedented means... How big is a 747 compared to a Mitchell B25 (the one that flew into the Empire State Building)?
-
To be fair, a place flying into a building is completely unprecedented. You can't do crash tests on buildings where you fly planes into them and see if they're still standing. No-one knew for certain what would happen, at all. Similarly, the WTC was one of the biggest buildings in the world - a completely unique structure. So to use the example of other similar structures doesn't really tell the whole truth. lol @ inur too - I had a feeling the video was complete bollocks but I couldn't prove it because I know nothing about economics. So well done

I doubt Wayne was that calculated to be honest. He probably just came on here to vent his frustration and get some sympathy more than anything else...
-
lol It was probably made, like all the other conspiracy files, by some f**king weirdo in a bedroom in Ohio or something.
