  1. Oh my word, think how much fun you'd have just spec'ing a complete bike I think I'd probably faint with excitement or something.
  2. There's not a lot of point in changing. As Dan says, you've already got lenses and are used the Nikon. I personally wouldn't bother - you never know what Nikon will bring out next anyway. Plus it's not really gonna help you get better pictures EDIT: Better ergonomics on Nikon? My arse.
  3. Don't get RockShox, they have a really bad rep at the moment. Plus the whole U-turn thing is mostly a waste of time. Who is gonna stand at the bottom of a hill winding a little dial (for at least a minute)? On the other hand, my mate is selling some Revolutions for £175, let me know if you want them. I don't know owt about forks really, but most people say anything by Marzocchi or Fox is good. Just go on eBay, you can get just about ANY pair of forks for under £200. Second hand obviously.
  4. My tyres go a bit like that sometimes. Then I replace them.
  5. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But it's been a while since A-level maths so I couldn't work out how to explain it. I could see the point if you were trying to get a super-low front end, but since we're not, I think it's a bit pointless.
  6. Mine was the blue evil eye one, possibly the nicest paint job ever on any bike out of a factory (homemade ones don't count ). And yeah, whenever I think of my Zebdi, it had a Panaracer on, usually a Megablaster. I'd love to have it back just the way it was, for one ride only.
  7. Weird Al Yankovic? I'm sure some people must find him funny? Amateur transplants rock, but I'm sure you have to be a doctor to really get most of the jokes which narrows the target audience down a bit!
  8. I loved my P-X, mainly because I had it in the long hot summer between lower and upper sixth form (I think) and I would ride most days with all the old cool kids. Also, my Zebdi was the coolest bike ever! But I reckon a lot of this is seen with slightly rose-tinted glasses - My mate's got a Zebdi (proper pimp spec too, Chris King, Middleburns, Monty bar n Stem etc) and I really don't get on with it. It feels like a much more sluggish version of my 24 - Kinda similar geometry but everything seems much harder. And Orange Zeroes, and DMR sidekicks and Pashleys. None of them were particularly strong, but then people didn't really know what a tap or a hook was either! Big drops were cool though
  9. It's like sand paper but you can use it with water to make it a bit easier. The one I was using was super fine (3200 grit I think), just to get something for the paint to stick to.
  10. I don't reckon you should drag it - I think you should go fast and then stop, fast and stop etc.
  11. Are you sure you haven't got that the wrong way round?
  12. No it isn't, why don't people understand this? Czar is a word on its own so it's obviously gonna be pronounced the same as the word. Interestingly, it does originate from the word Kaiser or Caesar. But it's not pronounced like that
  13. Yeah, I had the same sort of dilemma. In the end I decided this way was cooler
  14. First take one normal Zoot frame (thanks to Gazmaz for that one ) Sand it down with nice rough sandpaper, then some finer wet 'n' dry Painting the black side: Leaving the other side Masking it. This was a f**king ball ache - took absolutely ages. I bought some 'premium low-tack' masking tape from B&Q made especially for metal surfaces and it was shit. So I just used normal stuff. This is weird because the masking tape was white so the frame ended up looking the 'opposite' or what it would end up. Lastly but not least, painting the other side. Then I just had to take the masking tape off, wet 'n' dry it again and laquer it. And then build it, obviously
  15. Too late, haha. Just been for a little ride, she's a beaut. Spent at least the first half an hour being very careful, making sure not to scratch it. But that's not what bikes are for. So it's got a few marks on it, nothing too major though
  16. I will just let the pictures do the talking I think

    What's one of them?

    Torrents.

lol Why can't you just open the ports up for your IP address? And what exactly is FlashGet? Is it just an alternative to, say, utorrent, or is it more?

    Braunschweig Session

Wow, the standard of riding in that was just nuts If I had to moan, I'd say the edit got a bit boring with the same lines being ridden just by different people, but apart from that it was awesome. Huge riding but actually putting some lines together rather than just inch counting.

    Wow that's quite sad.

    The Effects Of

I think people who say they can feel the weight difference are talking shit. Different angle and rises etc make loads of difference (and might make the bike FEEL lighter because of the different position) but I'd be very impressed if someone could notice a saving of ~100g (if that) on a 12kg bike (that's less than 1%). But to answer the question - Yes, getting the right bar and stem will transform the ride - it's easily the best way to make a difference.

    New Invention

It's still there. It's the way he's coming up with a solution to no problem whatsoever. He's never even used an angle grinder and he's still trying to improve on the idea. I mean Jesus, angle grinders do a perfect job in no time at all and they're really cheap. What more would you want?
  23. No, people are saying it doesn't count when you sidehop, tuck and lean so much that you need to hop off again to stop you stacking. I don't believe you can't see the difference?
  24. That's different though. That looks like you probably could have stayed on if you wanted. Which is not what this topic is about But I suspect you knew that
