    Leg Hair...

I am fairly sure the opposite is true - it soaks up sweat so it doesn't evapourate, and is more likely to make BO. But I don't know for sure.
  2. Yeah, the website for Supercycles is rubbish, but they're are a decent company. Supercycles actually own Onza and Zona, so your bike would be initially coming from there anyway, even if you bought it from Tarty. If you're very keen on getting it from Tarty, give them a ring and see what they can do. They're very friendly people and rarely busy ( ) so they like a good chat. They might be able a T-Pro with an upgraded spec for a bit more money or something like that, if that would suit you. The Zona is better than the Monty, so I would stop thinking about that. For building it up, I doubt you will need any more than a pedal spanner and some allen keys, but you could always check when you phone up. Where abouts do you live in Manchester? I live in Withington if you're after someone to ride with?
  3. I've barely got any spares really, I always sell them. So I've just got the odd bit of brake and pedals and about ten 26" tyres with no tread on them.
  4. There's no real reason why climbing chalk wouldn't work. You can also get 'liquid chalk' which is awesome stuff (I prefer it to normal chalk, for climbing at least) which you can get from decathlon and other places for £6 (normal chalk balls are £2 or less). Keeps your hands dryer for longer, and a bottle would last ages (several months at least).

    Pay Pal And Fees

Paypal will get 3.4% + 20p initially which is deducted from the amount you (as the receiver of money) will get. If the balance in your account is then less than £50, you have to pay 25p to transfer it to your bank. They really do rip you off.
  6. Those stripey ones are pimp as f**k.
  7. Aston vs Train: Here? Is it on this? If it is, then it's this episode http://forums.finalgear.com/showthread.php?t=1932
  8. But the widescreen will be curved, you can't just slap a flat bit of wood on there - it'll make the windscreen much MORE likely to smash. If you're worried about it, you could just take the glass out, it wouldn't make much difference to you riding on it... Might affect the motorbikes though?
  9. That's weird, I've never heard of that before. I'd guess it was a fault in the material or workmanship anyway, rather than just heavy landings etc, so you should be able to get it repaired. Good luck, anyway.
  10. wtf?! He just upped like 3ft + on a toy!
  11. What about duct tape all over the widescreen? It's bound to crack a bit, but it won't shatter.
  12. They're not that old really, especially those b26d's. I always wanted the original Brisa (Yellow like Adam burns had!), but never got one 'cos I got a Zebdi instead as they were cheaper. I like yours, anyway. For ages I had a desktop on my computer of Nelson Reis sidehopping a huge cotton reel, was proper big. Whatever happened to him? EDIT: This is the picture I'm on about (Clicky - it's the top one)
  13. Well some weird racing bikes don't, but trials bikes all have freewheels (or a freehub). Basically on a mod bike, the freewheel can be at the back wheel or attached to the cranks. Higher-end mod bikes all have front freewheel for reasons I've not quite fathomed. So basically if you wanted to upgrade the drivetrain, then it would be better to have front freewheel so you can upgrade piece by piece without upgrading the whole lot.
  14. Hendrixmaster - Do you ever think before you post? Maybe next time, think about whether you will be ridiculed, and then decide that it's probably not a good idea to make the topic. Because all your topics are just really dumb.

    Networking...

Yeah we know power over ethernet is real... It's just that it has nothing to do with this thread. Obviously rocks means something else, which is where the confusion arose.

    .

Yeah I agree, I definitely wouldn't attack them with sandpaper.
  17. Sounds like you need to learn how to put a BB in, and not shoot your mouth off at a company who have been really good for trials in the UK. Anjow - In terms of long or short there's not a lot more too it that preference. Obviously if you're really tall or really short then it's an obvious decision, but for everyone else it depends what you want to do, how you ride etc. Short bikes are better for throwing about, bunny hopping etc. Longer ones better for hoppy-hoppy trials and 'going big' in the style of Craig Lee Scott etc. Most people these days will say go for the longer one, the Zona.
  18. Yeah, it does look like a pretty decent deal, those Zips are supposed to be damn good for the money. The T-Pro/T-comp both have the same frame and it's a bit shorter than the Zip, so bear that in mind (if you have a long/short preference). I thought Tarty did Zona but obviously not. But I reckon it's the way to go anyway.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.

    Leg Hair...

Well that says it all, doesn't it?
  21. I'm sat in doing 'revision' for an exam in a week. But mostly I've just been on TF. Also I've not got my bike with me at the moment, otherwise I'd love to go for a bit of a ride.
  22. If I was in your situation I'd probably get something second hand for around £400. That way if anything breaks down the line (there's no reason to think it should) then you have that extra money to fix it or just change the things you're not happy about. If you know what a spanner does then won't have any problems with maintenance on a bike, it's all dead simple. I take your point about wanting a new bike and that's fair enough. But remember that you'll scratch it up within a few weeks anyway. But as far as new bikes go, I'm with Andy h - get the T-pro and use the saved money to replace things you don't like.
  23. That is actually the best thing you've ever said on here P.S. I bet my bike is lighter P.P.S. Get rid of that Kool chain, they weigh a ton.
