You could get something pretty mint second hand for that sort of money... Just a suggestion.

The other option, if this is just once a day for backups, is to just connect the two computers via a firewire cable. Much simpler and faster than using a switch. The other other option is to just use a crossover ethernet cable and connect the two PCs directly. But that's not as good as the firewire idea.
-
And you don't really ever get hubs any more. I'm guessing your router only has the one ethernet port? Otherwise just use that?
-
No, you don't need the tool, not for cleaning. Only for removing the drive rings, changing the bearings/hubshell etc. Just pull it apart and spray away.

I always get the sack/back/crack done when I go to the beautician

Interesting design. The pawls have two teeth to engage too, though perhaps that implies that they've had skipping issues.

Probably everyone that's never met the guy...

What are you doing shedding hairs anyway? To be honest if your girlfriend wants it, why the hell not. Who else are you trying to impress? Scopse? I think not I always wondered about shaving my armpits cos I sweat loads. But I don't think I could ever do it!

Whether or not you agree with the situation he (or his parents) have got into, I totally agree with Danny and Tank when they said this isn't the place to beg. Maybe it's appropriate to ask friends or people that he rode with, that's fine. But you don't use this place to beg, which is what the original thread was closed for. People don't come on TF to see this sort of thing, it's just inappropriate. By making another thread you've made it very difficult for Tom/Danny, you should have accepted the decision of the Admin, not tried to undermine it. P.S. You don't need a high-end job to get sick pay, you're right. I think you're only entitled to it after you've been on the books for 2 years. If your job offers sick pay before then, that's up to them I think.

Yank. Or in cockney rhyming slang, 'Septic' (Tank). JC

Full finger, it's not as if the heat contained in the fingers of your gloves is gonna make any difference to how much your hands sweat. I don't know anyone that wears fingerless gloves for trials. They're just for roadies aren't they?

D521? Actually now they're called Ex721s I think.

Yeah, it's what's called a fasciotomy - you release the layer enclosing the muscle, so pressure doesn't build up in the muscle too much (which is what causes compartment syndrome). Here's the article: http://www.stanislausorthopedics.com/armpumpandmotocross.htm I don't think so, just have a play around. I have seen everything from the lever horizontal, to vertically pointing down (urgh) and from virtually no lever movement to squeezing the lever to the bar before it bites (my favourite). So yeah, just experiment. However, some people say draw a line through your arm when you're riding and that should be the lever angle. Obviously this depends on the situation though - if you're hanging off the back tyre it's different to if you're leaning forwards. I'll try and do a picture if you don't get what I mean.

Are we talking about arm pump (pain & slight swelling in forearms) or pain actually in your hands (cramp)? If it's pain in your hands then make sure your levers are at comfortable angles, because bad position can make cramp really bad. If it's just arm pump then there's not gonna be a quick fix. Like other people have said, use the brakes less. Also try consciously relaxing your grip on the bars. Oh, and doing sections faster with less faffing about always helps As for feet, I don't reckon that you want to use the same part of your feet for trials as for riding XC. I might be wrong, but I find my balance is much worse when I try and use the ball of my foot on the pedals. It might be better for powering up long hills in XC, but I'm not so sure for trials. But what Mike said is dead right - When I ride in my Converse shoes (floppy) I get quite bad foot pain, but not in Vans.

You don't need to ride flatland at all. The first curb comp was ace, there were loads of good entries. We've all seen what people like Nick G and Phil Feeney can do. I would agree with Dave, but then it's quite hypocritical me saying that while I'm sat on my ass and I haven't made a video myself, so I'll just keep myself to myself.
-
Yeah just do that. You don't need to take the anodising off if you're planning on spraying it, just rough it up a bit with some wet&dry.

It's weird, I've got some DX pedals and the pins are all pretty much gone or blunted, but I never seem to slip them. I think the shape on them is quite special, kinda concave to hold your foot. So yeah, best of both worlds (although they'd probably be wank in the wet).
-
Yeah, that too! But for me it's the tiny movements needed to scroll. Such a fiddly little ball. It's a good idea though, I love the two finger scrolling on my Powerbook, couldn't live without that now.
-
If the wobble is more than about 5cm from side to side then you probably won't get it straight ever again. But if it's less then there's a decent chance that you'll get it straight enough not to rub on the brakes etc.

Keep you warm in winter though! My mate wears them on XC rides just for the warmth

The one and only Jurassic Five.

661 do some pretty decent ones, without knee guards cos you don't want them. HERE. I also found these Planet-X ones which are a bit cheaper. Football ones work fine, but they look pretty gay on a bike. OK if under trousers though (That's the official style-guru word on the matter ). EDIT: In the time to write that, 4 people have already replied!

I still think the Fiesta would win in a race though.

They shouldn't allow educational discount on ten grand computers!

You will get a lump of new bone (a callus) forming around where you broke it. It's just the way it is and it's nothing to worry about. The other thing it could be is that you've dislocated the clavicle, and it kinda springs up. I've got a lump near my right shoulder (it's not the same as on the left) and it's because of this. It doesn't give me any problems at all though. If the lump is right above your shoulder, it could be this. Either way I wouldn't worry
