People feel highs and lows no matter who they are. How do you know what's good unless you've had some bad? My point is that if you're in a wheelchair and have to breathe through a drip or something all the time, you can still enjoy life. By your standards, their life might not be great, but that doesn't give you the right to kill them... However, if they are in serious pain and want to die (Not just some loser teenager who threatens suicide all the time) then I think I would be all for it. As long as the laws made it unambiguous.

No one said they were his. Obviously he didn't make it up, it's clearly copied and pasted. Some of the first ones were good, the rest were trying a bit too hard to be funny.

Have you turned on the filtering? If so it could just be a case of them being able to connect to the router, but being denied by it.

While we're on the subject of driving techniques, is there anything I can do to prevent horrible gearbox grind when I put the car in reverse? If the revs are even slightly above idle, the gearbox crunches as I move the stick into reverse. I don't understand. No syncromesh for reverse? PS It's a Polo 1.6 manual B)

MAC filtering is the best way and most secure. Also you can use WEP, but that's not as good and harder to set up I think. So use either MAC filtering or MAC filtering AND WEP, if you like. All the settings should be on your router - It should give you a list of all the computers accessing your network, and then you will be able to allow/deny each one as you wish. Admittedly I've never set up a wireless router, but I imagine it's the same as on my wired router.

Yeah, I love my 74 head angle. Sidehops, ups to front wheel, front hops, squeakers etc are ALL better with a steeper head angle. There are downsides though - Can't bridge as far, and probably more importantly the bike doesn't like to roll/tap up stuff so much. It's much easier to hit the front wheel and do a comedy stop (usually followed by going over the bars) when you try to tap on a bike with a steeper head angle. Like everything else in trials though, it's all a compromise - There is no perfect geometry. Bingo :P

Haha, scottish accents are funny though B)

Rumour has it that Apple have always developed x86 (I.e. PC) operating systems alongside the OS for PowerPC architecture, so there would be a PC version somewhere buried deep in Apple's underground lair. It's just never been leaked. However, Macs are going to start using Intel processors, so they'll have to use this code anyway now. And I suppose if that's gonna be released it'll find it's way onto a PC near you soon B) I don't really see why they're doing that though - The whole point of Apples is that you get the hardware and the software - the whole package is inseparable so there's no competition. As soon as they release Tiger for x86, people can buy PCs and run it and save £££!

I would not listen to whoever told you that...

I was avoiding looking at the forecast, because I thought it was going to be shit, but I had a quick look HERE (You'll need to type in Morecambe) and it looks like we got full-on sunshine (Y) I'm gonna be there, with probably 2-3 other people, so see you there (Y)

You'll be fine. If you get any kind of infection, it travels through lymphatics to lymph nodes. Here the white cells, fluid, bacteria, viruses etc accumulate and make the node bigger until the immune system has got rid of the disease. For example, if you cut your hand and get an infection, you get swollen lymph nodes in the inside of your elbow. And when you get a bad cold/flu/mumps, you get a swollen neck. It probably just means your body is dealing with something and you'll be fine, but if you're worried you should get checked out anyway B)

Or shortens them depending on what your chain is like... I would say that on a 609, the stays could be shorter (ie you could move the wheel "in" to tension), without changing any of the design - There's a fair bit of space between the edge of the tyre and the BB. So I think you could make the stays shorter, but I don't know how much that would help - obviously there's an optimum length somewhere. Either way, whether the stays are 375 or 385, you probably won't notice... Having said that, I like the 360 dropouts. My wheel never moves and the tension is fine.

It's nothing to do with your video card in the slightest B) Try downloading Windows Media Player 10, other than that I don't know what to suggest really. But the video is a bit weird because it plays fine on my PC, but won't play on my Xbox for some reason (Like you it's about the only video that won't play) :P

If it helps, I had a quick paint session and knocked up what I think it is. Feel free to correct though if I've got it completely wrong B) In cross section: Not to be confused with Internal/Integrated headsets, which are something completely different and equally confusing...

From the album: Random
(I think) -
What is Martin Hawyes doing these days? Ashton has has range of bikes, so I presume he just deals with them, but what does Hawzie do now? Has he got a normal job?
-
I would say at the moment, maybe a T-Rex? And then best-selling trials frame of all time = Zebdi? Could be, I remember a time when everyone on here had one B) There's quite a lot of Levelbosses around too.
-
Sweet, hope you like it :P
-
That's the one. I believe it's only a first prototype so I don't know if it's gonna be released any time particularly soon though, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-
That is indeed good news. Looks like a fairly sensible design to me, should sell well if it's at a decent price B) If I was Onza/Inspired, I would do a deal on frame + rims + spokes, to make it easier for people to make the swap. Just my two cents :P

They're generally more stable on wonky edges and stuff. Easier to balance. Also because in natural your run-up is often limited, a bike you can tap/roll up stuff easier is better. And we all know long bikes are better for tapping etc. Also long wheelbase bikes usually have a slacker head angle which again means better for rolling up stuff/tapping.
-
Nah, short (stock) bikes are definitely not as comfortable on natural as something a bit longer. If I rode only (/any) natural, I would probably get a longer bike. That's not to say I would get a 1100wb barge, but I do think a bit of extra length helps more on natural stuff. Long frames have very little to do with your height though, it's just how you ride. If you want to do long bike stuff, get a long bike. Unless you're really small/weak and can't handle a very long stock bike, in which case you should probably be riding mod anyway

Why wouldn't you be able to manual? And how many people snap their chains going down a hill? (Y)
-
Possibly, although he'd argue that his 360 dropouts are way better/cooler. Why do you want horizontal dropouts anyway?
