  1. That's just someone who has stolen all the vids and put them up. But the trialskings were cool :shifty:
  2. No no no no no. If someone selling a frame says it's "slightly flared", what they actually mean is that it's completely f**ked. And I don't think you really don't want that. Just leave it well alone, to be honest. And no, it isn't gonna be wider than any other headsets, certainly not by 2mm.
  3. Yeah, I guess, although that's assuming you've got enough RAM to cover everything. Knoppix takes ages to load (off a CD), but when it's loaded it works fine, plenty fast enough. And it might not be loads slower running off the external, but it would definitely be faster doing it the normal way, so that's what you should do (Like Tom said).
  4. I did read the thread, so there's no need for that. Vegetable oil is a kind of mineral oil, just like magura blood or whatever Shimano use. FFS don't have a go at me, I'm the only person in this thread who actually answered your question!
  5. Just in answer to the original question: You can use normal vegetable oil instead of official magura oil, it's practically the same thing and it won't freeze like water. But it's really thick, doesn't give a very nice feel at the lever at all...
  6. Hell yeah, not just a mincing "Oooh, I didn't make the gap, I'll just step off" kind of 'crash' that people insist on putting in their videos. Proper stack

If they do, they're not on the site. Thanks though. I think I'm gonna go with Steve-A's tyre :shifty:
  8. You're thinking of RPM. A 7200rpm drive can do up to 133 Megabytes/sec on an IDE channel. I know USB 2.0 is claimed to be loads, but it's actually only about 10megabytes per second, and that's for a large file which will go faster than a small one. So yeah, don't boot off your external hard drives, kids. It's stupid.
  9. Tim Stedman (Steadman?) in joint second (30cm away from Vince though :) )
  10. No it won't. You can't just "convert" hard disk drive space to RAM. It's a completely different thing, physically. RAM is really fast and hard drives are comparatively very slow. Windows uses a bit of hard drive space for "virtual memory", but it's nowhere near as fast as RAM. Having any more than you probably do at the moment would probably be pointless. And then using the external hard drive would slow things down so much anyway it would be slow even if you did have 19GB of RAM :)

    Gigs

Classical music is better than any genre other than Indie :) You should give it a try! Ticketmaster.com? They do tickets for a lot of gigs and stuff...
  12. I think you might be able to, but it would depend on your motherboard. A lot of modern motherboards allow you to boot from USB (Assuming the external hard drive is USB), it's a setting in the BIOS. So you could do that, but it would be very slow loading through a USB port or even firewire etc. A better option would be to install both onto the same (internal) hard drive and dual boot them. But why don't you just use WindowsXP? It's basically a lot more stable than ME...

Will a 2.7 Maxxis High Roller fit in a Leeson on 609? Also is it likely to fold loads on my RhynoLite (29.6mm)? If that won't work, anyone know anywhere that has a 24x2.5 Maxxis in stock, apart from a Swampthing (Which seem to wear out way too fast). Thanks :)
  14. Halfords do them, but they're really expensive...
  15. Have you logged on as another user or something?
  16. ... And don't try to flog a dead horse. Give up, and find yourself with a nice excuse to get a new frame.
  17. Nope that's your firewire port. You can connect two computers together using a firewire cable, but that's irrelevant. So no, you haven't found a magical way of making your internet 10x faster :)

    Websites.

Thank you sfboy, I will certainly bare that in mind. Looks like I need to get to work with Dreamweaver. Thank you Daahnhillaaaa (Y)
  19. Yeah, that was a bit pointless. Road/XC can be fun, people wouldn't do it if it wasn't. I want a road bike (Y)
  20. Cool. But you should have called it the Zona Zoo!p or something :D Neither, it's the one in the link he posted (Y)

    Wtf Is Going On!?

Haha, that's quite funny. Press Ctrl + F5 on the add reply screen, see if that works. EDIT Stupid Danny (Y)
  22. Possibly all of the above. But mostly because it's an echo urban and they ALL snap.
  23. I did that. Just hit the ball and the head went with it. It was funny (Y)
