    Old Or New

This is a boring topic to read. HTH
  4. I never said mass effect, I said Just Cause Too right, that's well good.
  5. Apparently it's coming tomorrow. Fingers crossed but I'm sorted for its arrival - Got the HD cable and a few games (Amped 3, Skate, Bioshock) to add to the ones in the bundle (Splinter Cell (good) & Just Cause (which I might swap because it's supposed to be rubbish)). Fingers crossed it'll actually arrive this time... Oh, and the first thing I'm gonna do is get Geometry Wars on XBLA 'cos that's f**king ace. This post has NOT been edited by Tomm, honest: Today, 09:31 PM
  6. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SEKY7RXkCiA is Frika... Billocks? We ain't talking about that one.
  7. The Wellgo MG1s are the same as Hognesiums, right? If so, mine were terrible for losing pins.

    Sorry

What do you actually need translating? The first bit on the news is an apology saying they've not been getting the email addresses of anyone who sent a question in via the form on the website, so they're not able to reply. But you can re-send a question using the new form and that should work. Then it's an announcement that there's a new TRA video in the videos section on the new XR26 prototype. And an announcement about another TRA vid before that?
  9. Everything's working fine OK for me now, and www.trials-forum.co.uk takes me to the forum index, although going anywhere else I get the IP address. Trialstube and attachments are all working properly Oh, and 'new server'. (On NTL/Virgin) EDITED
  10. With a crown race you hammer the inside part nearest the steerer tube. It's not part of the bearing race, so if you use a screwdriver + hammer and you're accurate, you'll be fine. I'm not quite sure how you would fit a crown race with a block of wood anyway? It would be very awkward. I do agree with this though - but purely because there's no way you'd ever get enough force through the star nut / bolt to press a race onto the forks. When I said this: I really meant that will push the race on the final 1mm or so if it won't budge easily with the hammer + screwdriver. I wasn't suggesting to anyone that they should just lob the bits of the headset onto the fork in vaguely the right order and go do some taps until it all starts working properly
  11. http://dorgem.sourceforge.net/ I've never used it, but a mate has. Apparently it's a bit buggy but it worked fine, though that probably depends on your particular laptop.

    The Joke Thread

Maybe we should rename this the 'casual racism thread'?
  13. Yeah, I would normally use a bank transfer if I knew the person. But Paypal has extra security so if there's ever any doubt (not that there should be on here, but y'know), use that.
  14. www.trials-forum.co.uk redirects to http://89.149.242.87/~trials/forum/ automatically. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php gives you me board offline notice.
  15. Ignore the bit about water, smartarse
  16. lol @ £12k/ year. Take tax, council tax, rent, food, clothes out of that and you're left with about -£2000 before you've spent any of that cash on anything you want to buy or do. And with pretty much zero opportunity for promotion, you're not going to earn next year, or the year after, or the year after Just, just no.
  17. You look like Napoleon Dynamite in that
  18. I just use a screwdriver. As long as it's vaguely in the right place it'll press itself on when you ride the bike and then you just need to tighten the headset a bit more Er, you mean that little shoulder on the steerer tube? It's supposed to be like that, it holds the race on.

  20. As long as you've got all the right bits, it's dead easy. Little more than just building a lego set that only has about 8 pieces The only thing you can do majorly wrong is to do the CPU heatsink/fan wrong - I.e. squash the CPU or use too much/too little thermal paste etc. But there are tutorials on the internet for that sort of thing. It's probably best if you can find a mate who's done it before who can just watch and check you've done everything OK.
  21. That's exactly the same basic process that happens in maguras or vee brakes though
  22. You can get rubbish AGP cards for well under £20. Any of which will be fine if you don't want to play games
  23. I don't really know about the size. I reckon you'd struggle to feel a difference really. I'm 6'0 and I ride a 158 which I reckon is perfect for what I do (Which I suppose would be like everything, but with a freestyle slant ). For park/rails only I'd have something smaller but for deep snow I certainly wouldn't so it largely depends what you'll be using it for. Even for big jumps you don't want anything too small and soft. I reckon the 157 would be about right for a 'do anything but mostly park' board. Unless you're a total park monkey and want something smaller. That seems like a good price.
  24. I don't think Burton have a particularly good rep, but the warranty is amazing - you can usually just go into any shop which stocks Burton (I.e. All of them) and get a swap/repair. Now is the best time of year to buy though 05/06 is pretty old but it might have been used for 1 week, or 3 seasons! You just don't know really. If it's been used for more than 1 season it'll probably be all floppy and dead. My board is an 04/05 but I've had it since then and I know how much use it's had - it's completely fine. So it all depends. Also I'm pretty sure Ride changed the DH in 06/07 or something to make it a true twin which is cool, and that version got really good reviews. I'm not sure about pre-06/07 you see.
