That won't work I don't think, because the master piston will bottom out on the cylinder. Actually I have no idea what you're talking about. I've never tried it, but holding the piston out of the cylinder (as Mark has said) will have the right effect - just to increase the volume of fluid in the system. I'm not quite sure about popping the seal off the lever, seems a bit unnecessary to me. But I'm not totally sure it's a good idea unless you NEED to do this. The pistons will be further out and there will be more leverage on them when you brake, which I guess could damage the piston or the seals. On the other hand I've never seen this happen, so meh.

No, it's a famous American university.

To be honest, none of the bundled games really interest me, I'll be heading to Gamestation to grade them I reckon. One is Just Cause which is supposed to be pretty rubbish, and the other is Splinter Cell: Double Agent which I'll probably keep just because I really liked the ones on the xbox 1, and it got good reviews. Oh and I bought Amped 3 on eBay the other week which was the only game I really NEEDED. I'm gonna get Skate, any other suggestions? Shh, I'm keeping quiet until it actually gets here because I think it was a pricing error EDIT: So much so that it's no longer on the website. Fingers crossed for it actually arriving...

I just got an Elite + 2 games for £232 which I think is a pretty good deal. If it ever gets there, that is. I specified morning delivery and apparently that can be any time until 1pm so I might have a little longer to wait.

It was supposed to be delivered here before 12, only 57 minutes to go. WHERE IS IT?

Is it mostly for the Snowdome? Because if it is, you ought to go for something small and bendy. A Lib-Tech Skate Banana would be pretty awesome but they're expensive cos of the trendy magnetraction shit. If I was getting a board for everything (inc mountains) though, it would probably be a Ride DH (It's a full twin designed for 'all mountain' and it looks wicked) or a Lib-Tech TRS (again with magnetraction). Or at the slightly cheaper end, a Rome Solution (I've ridden one of these from a few years back and it's really nice). I don't know much about the Havoc. Guess it depends what you can get in the sales though. By the way, I would have thought that hire boards would be really floppy, no?

It's obviously a very emotive subject and I think that's what the artist was trying to get across. I mean, people haven't even seen the work and they're already calling her a 'serial killer'. But I can't imagine that she's actually created anything worth seeing here - It's described as a giant hanging cube, smeared with blood and videos of her giving herself an abortion in the bathtub. Great Sounds like controversy for the sake of controvery.

The thing is, if there's any contamination on the pads, it'll be on the rotor and vice versa. If you only clean either the pads OR the rotor, they'll just contaminate each other again. Just clean both at the same time, it doesn't take long.

My Juicy 7 took ages to bed in (BB7s take no time at all) and it still noticeably more grabby in the wet. I don't really know why but it's plenty powerful in the dry so I have no complaints. You might have contaminated it though - mine is silent. Clean the rotor with soapy water and burn the pads on the hob

Yeah, to be honest I don't really know which is the best value-for-money wise, I bought mine second hand from some dude in Manchester for £140 so I'm quite happy with it. In other news, xbox360 ordered

Yep. Or you could always splash out on a 24"
-
It'll still do 720p which is HD, it'll look much better than normal DVDs.

It's a Samsung 226BW. I like it, but I'm coming from a really big old CRT monitor and this is obviously waaaay better. But that doesn't say much and I haven't really seen many others to compare. It's supposed to be pretty good for a 22" apparently, but there's some technical reason why 22" monitors will never be as good as some 20" or 24" ones. But I wouldn't worry about it too much, they'll all be perfectly fine for most people. As for reviews, I'm not entirely sure. That review site in the link seems pretty good. If you're going to get it for your xbox, you might want to consider something with a component input (or HDMI), that'll save you £20 on the xbox vga cable. For £200, you can get the pick of pretty much any 22", and a bit more will get you a 24".

It totally depends where you are. In Manchester that would be on the high side of average - mine is £325/mo (not including bills) but I live in a nice flat in a nice area, whereas I know someone who's paying £180/mo, but it's in a pretty small house in Moss Side. The only way you'll find out whether it's comparable to other places is by having a look at different houses in the same area. What's this all about?

Come on, if something's in really bad taste it's got to at least be funny... Works joke.

Thing is though, if the profit margin on a single item is, say, 30%, then if you're spending £20 or so, Tarty is earning £6 but then someone has to maybe advise the customer on the order, process it, pack it, post it etc. But if someone is spending £2000, of which £600 is "profit" for the shop, they can afford to knock 10% off and still make a lot of money on that single transaction. It's just the way of the world. Obviously I have no idea what Tarty's profit margins are (probably not that high!) but the point stands. It's like if I said you could buy penny sweets for 0.5p each, and sell them on the street one at a time for 1p each, you'd tell me to piss off. But if someone wanted to buy 10 000 sweets, you could sell that to them and make 100% profit on your investment which I'm sure you'd do, even with a bit of discount.

Hmmm,is it just me, or is that Vic Reeves there with the video camera on the right?

For f**k's sake guys... I have to tidy the mess up because you want to have a stupid little argument. EDIT: Actually this is a pointless topic anyway so I'm not going to bother. Oh, and another thing. People that say 'in' are, in fact, more annoying than people who post the lobster dog

Nah it's just from Trials pictures/videos. The first time I think was one of the old Fluid23 videos with Eddie Tongue riding at pretty much that exact spot.

Fair play, big gap. Weird technique though Haha, yeah right. So people aren't allowed to be better at one thing than another?! Half the people on this forum can only tap, gap and sidehop, nothing else. I'm also pretty sure you're in that group

My lovely new(ish) 22" monitor, currently in PC mode...
