  2. that is a brilliant video, i was really surprised and impressed first time i saw it
  3. "New VW Station wagon, a sporty car for every day's challenges"
  4. does everyone here read their girlfriends' texts and FB messages?
  5. stupid line on the bridge outside Nordstan shopping centre! I've never done that one. Same goes with the brigde at Kungsport, I've actually never seen the stuff on that side, towards the boat. I'm up for a ride again soon, shame I had other plans that day!
  6. very nice video. i really like the colors in the clips. what camera were you using, and how much job did you put into altering the clips to looks this good? big cred for the camerawork aswell, assuming its done with a good consumer camera it looks very smooth.
  7. i found it harder to do the manual barspin though, i just push the bike down (as i'm standing on the pedals) and don't get enough time to spin the bars fully round. it was easier making a tiny bunnyhop, literally just lifting off the floor and trying to not put any weight on the feet. worked for me anyways, i got the bars round. i'm still not very good at them though. this is on my bmx bike with a really low seat
  8. i cant help thinking a lot of those things look silly on trials bikes. some combinations looked cool though. the barspin wasn't too impressive either as it was done on a very streety bike, imagine pulling one with 76cm bars on a mod stem

    rest in peace dude.
  10. I'm not perfectly happy with the clips either, but the edit is more or less as I wanted it, laid back. Up to everyone to decide though. Haha, really? I thought there were a few in there. Thanks to everyone so far, I'm glad to read that people seem to like it

  12. This was filmed in July this summer, as a sequel to the video with me and Robert that was shown in the Burger King restaurants here. The first one was filmed around April-May and finished in the end of May. When it had been featured for a few weeks I was asked to make another one quickly, so I went out to ride and film more or less every day. It turned out quite nicely, very chilled video with a mix of stuff. Get it in good quality from vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/2150523 thanks. Peter peterbackgren.com
  13. gave me shivers. looking forward to it.
  14. sweet jack. fun to see you take the canal boats
  15. hahaha alright, we clearly have a discussion going on here. roadtrip sounds like fun. it's a bit on an issue that a lot of people are busy during the week, but i think we can sort something out. it will cost more to go north, but might be worth it. how about leeds-manchester-sheffield in the week? i've also been thinking about liverpool, been there once but could be cool to go again.
  16. Hello. It's time to go over to the UK again I'll arrive in London in the afternoon the 19th, and need somewhere to stop near, because I'll go to the Hook Woods comp on the 21st. I might have something sorted, but if anyone who's going can offer me a place to stay and a lift to the venue it would be awesome. 22-26th I have no idea where to go, most likely down south like Reading, Oxford and Bristol, but I might as well go somewhere I haevnt been before. Suggestions? 27-28th I'll be around London again, hanging out with a friend from here who's moving over, and going home on 29th. Please help me make up a plan I wont bite you.

They just had the bike, helmet and drumset on the podium. His parents donated the bike to the trials club here, who will keep it for beginners to try on. One of the absolutely nicest bikes ever. This way we hope to give as many people as possible some "happiness" and the interest in trials, helping the scene to live on. It will always remind me and everyone else who knew Rob about him

I attended the funeral today. It was of course very sad, saying goodbye to a friend, but everything was very much how Rob would have liked it, with his favourite music, his bike and the drum set and a picture of him in one of his best and happiest moments. The photo was from an annual "parade" his uni arranges, with lots of funny cars and trucks they've designed and built, Rob was driving a motorized canoe on the main street of Gothenburg. Anyways, the ceremony today was all about remembering all the fun moments with Rob and what a wonderful person he was, which won't be hard thanks to all the traces he's left, just think of all the videos. A true legend. I miss him a lot. Ride in Peace

looking at the "potence" video he's uploaded with clips from the ride we had in bristol (and all the other videos) hurts, but also reminds you all the awesome moments with Robert. it's still unreal having lost him and thinking that we won't ever be able to do all those things again...
  20. good good. you've improved a lot. we have to ride more this summer, i'll contact you

Just to clarify, it's Gurra you see in the Oat Pea video, Robert was filming it. Rob always edited the best videos, we need to get them online again.
  22. post them all, i don't have all of them and it would be good to see them again. so many memories are saved with those videos. we had the best of times together
  23. It's hard writing this now. The first part is me riding street, the second part is filmed together with Robert Janson and contains some clips of him riding. I don't know who has read it in the topic about the tragic loss of Janson, but only a few weeks back this video was selected in a video competition and is now being shown in all Burger King restaurants in Sweden, 300 screens. It will be featured for 8 weeks, i think it's the 4th week now. I'm really really sad I didn't post this on here earlier so Rob could see peoples reactions. He seemed quite proud of being in a video everyone could see. It's good publicity for us and the sport in Sweden. To be honest I'm not entirely pleased with how it turned out, I edited it and was in a hurry to make it to the deadline of the video comp. Rob was really good at filming and editing, as a lot of people who's been on here for a few years will have seen, it's a shame to have lost him. The two parts are posted separately on Vimeo, Rob is in the red shirt: My part street riding: HERE My and Roberts part naturals riding: HERE It's horrible to think of that these are the last clips of Rob ever riding. We had a great day in the park when we filmed the natural part, one of many great days. He will be missed Here is the direct link to a short version of the video, it only contains one clip of Rob: http://extreme.burgerking.se/videos/details/90 That's what was selected, then I was asked for a 5 min video and I sent them the two shorter ones. If you want to I'd appreciate if people tried to vote for the video on the burgerking site. It might be difficult though, the website is in Swedish. Click "Ny Användare" to set up an account, they're asking for name, surname, e-mail, password and verify password. I think it would be awesome to get a trials video to come far in this competition and get more publicity! I'll try my best to show my and everyone elses respect to Rob if I'm contacted by the jury again. In the unlikely event that the video wins the contest I'll win money, and then I'll´have to decide what to do with it. Something that is good for the trials scene, i think thats what Robert would have wanted. /Peter

It's sad to read all these comments, they're all exactly what I was thinking but couldn't get myself to write yesterday. Rob was such a great dude. Clever and funny and very down to earth. He was also one of my best friends even outside riding and we talked every week, mainly about biking, techinical and mechanical stuff and music. He only got to finish 2 of the 5 years at Chalmers Univeristy where he studied to become a Mechanical Engineer. I'm pretty sure he was the youngest in his year, as people have mentioned he was very talented with such things. The last time we met was either when I came to see his band play like a month back or when we rode in the central park here in Gothenburg. We didn't do much actual riding, mainly just talked about the summer and all the good things that were to come... He had gotten a really weird job for two weekends, he and his friends at Uni got to do a show in the pause of the monstertruck show Monster Jam, they had a "rollover" contest, driving old cars trying make it roll the most rotations. He did this and seemed to have a lot of fun, but was really busy with fixing the cars so we couldn't ride for a few weeks. I arranged so that he could come to a job interview at my work, as I thought it would be the perfect summerjob for him (mechanical workshop and engineering) and wanted to kind of pay back some on all the times he has helped me with just about anything. The last footage of him is from two months back, and only last week I was on my way to posting it on here. I entered the video to a video competition here in Sweden, where all the semi-finalists get their video shown in all Burger King restaurants in Sweden (300 screens), and our video got there! The video will be aired for 8 weeks, and Rob seemed quite proud of it, his last MSN conversation name translates to "burger kings new video celebrity. in your face" it's all so horrible , Rob was one of those people who really made an impression. i'll be reminded of him a lot.
  25. hey. www.bunkeberget.com is their official site, although it's entirely in swedish. You're correct, it's located in Gothenburg, Sweden. you can fly here quite cheaply from Stansted or Glasgow.
