  1. That was a great little video George, great riding by yourself and great editing by Jack. I gotta come over to the compound soon, think I'm missing out on seeing you ride all this sweet lines.
  2. Nice video Bella, looks like your ridings coming along really well. I'll have to come up soon for a ride, you can show me all those spots.
  3. Some amazing and unbelievable lines there, the video of it is just insane. Looks like a great comp, would be great to have something like that over here. Probably get a lot more riders doing comps if they were like that.
  4. I was just browsing Chain Reaction Cycles and came across this hub with 120 engagements. It is made by Halo and has sealed bearing and a 120 tooth ratchet system. Sounds a bit like a king hub, as they use a ratchet drive for the engagements. But this has more engagements and is a lot cheaper. Obvious downside is that it is a quick release axle. But might be a good hub, cheaper than Hope Pro 2 too. Would be good to here if someone has tried it. I am happy with my front freewheel, but thought I would share with the forum.
  5. Some really good riding there, looks like a great riding spot. Enjoyed that a lot including the music.
  6. Who's riding where tomorrow?

  7. Yes you can. 127.5 is 0.25mm shorter on each side than a 128mm you wont notice the difference. Are you replacing the complete crankset or just the one that is ruined? If you are replacing the cranks and bottom bracket, I would highly recommend getting an ISIS bottom bracket and ISIS cranks.
  8. Wheelbase is pretty short for my liking, but the bike looks really nice. Bet it rides pretty well too. As for getting black rims, I don't think it would look that good, very stealthy mind. Just stick with the white rims, can't imagine your gonna be able to save much weight. What's it weighing in at the moment?
  9. Price wise there is no difference. New bikes are priced based on the parts that are used. Used bikes are priced based on what the owner thinks they are worth. Sometimes you can find real bargains on here, PinkBike or eBay. As for which size bike to go for, it completely is down to you. Short people tend to ride 20" because the reach on a 26" is too far and so is harder to ride. But then you also get plenty of tall riders riding 20". I would say your best bet would be to go on a ride, and just have a go on a few people bikes, 26 and 20. It would be the best way to help you decide what is best to go for. As you only have a £200 budget you will find it hard to get something of a moderate to decent spec, but anything will do for the moment. Just a quick search on ebay, found this Onza T-Pro 20" or Phase 1.1 26" Both these bikes are bargains and only a sample of what there is on eBay. You just need to decide which you prefer 20" or 26" Hope this helps.
  10. Cheers Tom, hope it's not too much trouble.
  11. I just gone to leave Isitafox feedback but I kept getting this come up. I repeated to try to leave feedback and continuously got the same come up. I then clicked on Isitafox's user name and noticed that feedback was being left each time. Feedback system seems to be working, just not properly, so needs a little fix up when possible. Cheers
  12. I don't think it is possible to make a living out of riding trials as competition rider, but I may be wrong. The only other way, would be to start up a company like Tartybikes or make bikes and parts, or do demo's, but you'll have to do loads of demos to be able to live off of what you earn. So the answer is pretty much no, you cannot make a living out of riding a trials bike.
  13. Hi guys, I'm thinking of riding Barrow Farm this weekend, not sure which day, but as it's Mothers day Sunday, most likely ride Saturday. Just thought I'd see if anyone else is up for it.
  14. - Cheers to the postman waking me up this morning, at least it was to deliver my new chain from Wiggle.

  15. Pictures look great Karl and Rich. Was good to see you and Mike again, has been a long time. Was also good to meet Karl and Magnus, hopefully ride with you all again soon.
  16. In my previous post I explain why it's better to side hop to the opposite side to your forward foot. Ie: right foot forward - sidehop to the left. Left foot forward - sidehop to the right. I am right foot forward, first learnt to sidehop to my right like most people do. You just go with what feels most natural and comfortable. This is great until you hit the wall of not being able to improve and get any higher. This is when learning to your opposite way will be beneficial.
  17. Bella, side hopping to your opposite of your forward foot allows you to get higher as it gives you more clearance. I am right foot forward, if I side hop to my right I will eventually get to height that i will struggle with, not because it is too high, but because my foot catches the obstacle on my way up. This happens, because your forward foot is your stronger foot/leg so naturally when on the back wheel you foot and leg is pulling the bike in the same direction as your forward foot. By side hopping to your back foot side (weaker foot/leg), you are having to put that effort in to get the bike to go that way. This allows you to have more clearance, go higher and control your movement during your side hop.
  18. Sounds good, looking forward to fitting mine later. Did you do a fresh grind before fitting?
  19. I've recieved my Coust pads in plastic backings from Trialprod. Will be fitting them later and hopefully riding this evening.
