  1. Some nice clips there Ian. Have to ride soon, once your settled in with the baby.
  2. So you finally moved from Broadstone/Corfe Mullen. Be great to see you guys.
  3. Your best bet is to contact Andy Ponting or Mike Singleton, as they both use this tension system.
  4. Steve I am asking about the Coust due to experiencing the quality of there performance. I have not yet come across anyone with your yellow Heatsink pads, and so don't have any idea on there performance.
  5. I've just ordered the same Coust pads in plastic backings from Trialprod. Hopefully they'll work just as well for me, unless I need to do a harsher grind.
  6. I'm going to be in Poole for the day and Dan Jones and I shall be riding from about 2 pm. Were going to park at the skatepark but we'll make our way to the quay shortly after. Dan has mentioned to me that the clocks go forward Sunday, so just a reminder to everyone.
  7. Emailed, had a reply and sorted, just gonna order a pair.
  8. Just gone on the site to look at ordering the pads, pretty pricey.
  9. Cheers Craig, so is there actually a difference between the two pads?
  10. I rode with Josh Kydd at the 3sixty trial at the weekend, he was using Coust pads. They came direct from Coust, I had a feel and couldn't get them to slip no matter how much force I put through the back wheel in a forwards and backwards motion. I was thoroughly impressed. I know Heatsink sell Coust pads, now are these the same pads ( same material/compound, made the same)? I would love a set of those pads, but only want the ones that Josh had if they are different, if they are the same then I'll be contacting Steve for some.
  11. It may well help you to ride with someone who can physically show you the technique of the back hop and sidehop, they can then teach you and give you pointers to help you. From your video I would say you are trying to do a back hop. I remember this was how my mates and I learnt. By doing the endo this gives you the momentum to pull the bars up when the wheel comes down. The problem you have is that you are not pulling your back brake. You are just doing an endo then trying to pull the bars up and kick. Try doing what your doing, only when your back wheel is in the air pull your back brake. When you back wheel hits the ground pull up on the bars so you are now on the back wheel. Now try and hop on the back wheel with the back brake on. Do this by pulling up on the bars with your arms and pulling up the back wheel with your feet gripping the pedals like they would during a bunny hop. You will find that you naturally move backwards when hopping on the back wheel from an endo. Once your confident with this, try kicking the pedals forwards when on the back wheel. To do this, whilst hopping on the back wheel just as your about to do another hop, try and release the back brake and kick the pedals forward and pull the back brake after to catch yourself. This will allow you to move the bike forwards with a hop whilst on the rear wheel. Once you get better and more confident, you can then try it without the endo.
  12. Love it Jonny. I feel like i'm there again, lol. Such a great weekend.
  13. So Adam for the benefit of us all, what chain would you recommend? for front freewheel use and for freehub use?
  14. You need to write this in the trials chat section not the videos section.
  15. Was all filmed on my Iphone, so not a case of forgetting how to edit. Before anyone says you can, it's a 3gs not a 4.
  16. I'm in for the Sunday, not so sure about the Saturday.
  17. Some clips I took on the phone of the Foam pit high jump comp. Unfortunately I only caught the end, as I was riding in it with others. I think there was about 9 or so of us, but it quickly got knocked down just Adam Bessell, Matt Burrows and Andy Ponting battling to see who could go the highest.
  18. I have used for the front of my stock the Avid Juicy 7 2009, Avid Juicy 3.5 2010 and Avid Elixir R Carbon 2010. All 3 brakes worked really well, the Elixir R Carbon was the best one in my opinion. Though both Juicy 7 and 3.5 seemed to play up a bit, I'm not sure if the pistons are up to the job of what a trials riders puts through a brake. I am now running a Avid BB7 brake which is amazing. I would recommend that over any of the others, or the Hope Mono Trial brake as this is designed for trials.
  19. I am driving up to the event from Woking Surrey and have a empty car due to people bailing. So this is a final plea to try and get the seats filled before Friday as with the constant fuel increases this journey is increasingly costing more by the day. Cheers Nick
  20. it seems that the ***t has hit the fan. I am driving up to Newcastle this weekend for the 3sixty trials jam and have a empty car that needs filling. Anyone want to come?

  21. Here's my current off road beast. It's a DMR Switchback steel frame, whole bike is a little heavy, but feels great to blast round on.
  22. Weeman out of retirement? Only person I can think that would be in reference to is Tic. Would be cool to do a Inmotion 2, especially getting all the riders together.
