  1. His name is Dan Ko, and as far as I know he doesn't speak to any trials riders other than a select few who live near him. I believe you will find him most active on the Audi R8 forum. As others have said, you should used the search bar to find information on the company if you were unsure. I'm pretty certain the site hasn't changed in over 2 years ( when I say that, I mean what is stock is always the same, nothing new seems to go up and prices never change). I and a huge amount of other riders have had problems with trials-uk, if you manage to get a refund, consider yourself lucky.
  2. I highly recommend the Echo tensioner. The only snag is that you need to run a Echo rear hub as the tensioner sits on the axle of the hub, this allows it to be tucked away nicely on the bike. As seen below.
  3. Gutted I missed it last year, was a sad day for us on the team not being able to pay our respects in person. But I'm hoping to come this year. Hope we can all club together to get a memorial bench for Gavin.
  4. The gate is not always shut as they store the city guide buses there, so when riding at the weekend you can just ride in. I mean even with the gate open it is still private property, unless we have been given permission by the owner to enter. But as Jack says, we've all ridden there loads before and chatted to the staff there and not one has told us to move on or warned us that we shouldn't be there. So we've never seen it to be a problem. But as the owner has contacted Tartybikes, and said that he will contact the police next time, it's a pretty clear sign he doesn't want us riding there, which is fair enough. We should just respect the guys wishes and find somewhere else, the last thing we want is someone getting arrested for trespassing.
  5. On London rides we generally start by the shell centre/London Eye, so for an evening when it's dark that spot would look good in pics with the eye behind, there's loads of other great spots around with good backgrounds.
  6. Sounds great. I notice you joined the forum 15 minutes ago. Are you a rider yourself?
  7. I'm not sure, I just remember seeing something about it on tv. Just had a little search on Google and I found a page about about something similar. Linky
  8. You should of gone with you lot rather than being a loner. Unless it's because he actually lacks faith in the frame and didn't want to be with anyone if it didn't hold together lol
  9. They've been around for years, namely on beach cruiser bikes. You pedal and all is normal, you can stop pedalling and the bike will freewheel, but when you pedal backwards the bike will slow down.
  10. So as Stan claims it works well and seems to be holding up, are there any pictures or small clips of him riding it?
  11. I saw something on television not long ago about equipment such as televisions being wireless, as in not having a plug lead. It would source it's power from a wifi network. The idea is that then if you put your phone within a certain distance of the television using more technology your phone will charge via wifi.
  12. Try Ben John Hynes, Kyle Livesey, shaun Hook. They all live near Birmingham, there are others as well. They all ride trials.
  13. That was a really good video, loved the trials in Corby itself, and then the riding in the skatepark was just off the hook. Pretty jealous and envious that you are doing static front flip drops. But fair play being able to do them.
  14. The event is a public event, that's the whole point of the event.
  15. What you doing in Brum Martin? You still riding trials then?
  16. KMC do various chains. I believe the Kool chain comes in two sizes 9/16 for gears 1/8 for single speed.
  17. I'm right handed and run my rear brake on left. My only reason for this is that whilst learning to ride a bike and riding bikes up till now, my rear brake has always been on the left. So though I am right handed, if I was to swap my brakes around, I would find it extremely unnatural to ride like that, whether it be general cycling or trials riding. So as everyone else has said, the UK and maybe 1 or 2 other countries run their brake the same way as us, but the rest of the world run the the opposite way round. I have no idea why they do, but they do.
  18. Looks cool Stan, not sure if it was a wise move. Hopefully it holds out for you and stands up to the tests. Think the warranty might be void now though Stan.
  19. What's wrong with him? Fair play to him though. Chris has some serious skills. I love how he can get on any bike and ride it for all disciplines. Probably the best rider in world. It's nuts how quickly he gets down those rocks and chucks that bike around.
  20. Loads of us are riding Reading tonight, should be around by the Hexagon at 7pm
  21. You beast!!!!! Loved this Joe, I wanna come ride Southend now.
  22. Anyone want to come to the 3sixty trials jam in Newcastle this month? I got a spare seat in the car from Woking.

Could possibly pick someone up on the way.

    2. Balls Deep trials team
  23. Very true. It also depends on the riders style as this will determine whether the rider will run a higher pressure than a low pressure, and also whether the rider will run soft compound tyres or hard compound tyres, and then there's nobbly DH tyres, XC tyres or slick/ramp tyres. The person that can help you on this for tyre pressure is yourself and what feels right for you. I personally run Schwalbe Nobby Nic on the front and a Schwalbe Big Betty on the rear. I run these because the MAD team are sponsored by them. But I do like them a lot. For my style riding they do the job well. I run my tyres at around 25 psi.
  24. was just some trials on tv, it wasn't a program on trials
  25. They didn't say much to us about what they were doing, just told us what the show was called and when it would be on and what channel.
