  1. Not surprised you like those pics
  2. Looks really nice mate, bet he rides really well to.
  3. Looking good Adrian, not sure about the bars being the same colour though. Looks retro, reminds me of my Pashley MHZ
  4. I've no idea who Gary is, and I'm pretty certain he has nothing to do with Phatworks. Thing with Magura's is that they come with mineral as standard. This works well for any rider apart from trials rider's. Reasons being that mineral oil is thick and after a long duration of riding, it can result in arm pump. So the ideal solution is to run a thinner lighter fluid to prevent arm pump. The most accessible liquid that fits the description is water. If bled correctly, it will result in a very fast lever return and nice and light to pull. The problem with water is that is effects the seals and freezes in the cold. The obvious solution for the freezing is to use anti-freeze with water. That's great but you still have the problem of the seals in the brake failing over time. What Mike has done is mix various chemicals together to create a brake fluid that is as light as water and prevents any damage to the brake. It has been a long time coming, but he has wanted to get it right before releasing it. I for one am a firm believer in water, though I like anyone suffer with the problem of having to re-bleed every other month. I may well result into having to add anti freeze to my bleed before the weekends riding, just to prevent any freezing. This is due to Phat Phluid not being available yet, otherwise I would be using that. As said earlier in the topic I have used Phat Phluid before and thought it felt amazing, though this was in the summer of 2009 so Mike may have changed the properties to improve it, I do not know. But I am looking forward to receiving my bottle of Phat Phluid so I can get it in my brake and then give a review of it to all you guys that are having problems with your Magura bleeds.
  5. It has some good spots, most in the town centre and high street, but are unable to ride until the shopper have gone home. Though as its christmas, they have german markets in the centre so that's probably out. So your left with high street, sea front and various other spots.
  6. I have used it in the passed, but currently using water due to damaging my hose a while ago. However, I know Lee McCaw is still using it, we got hold of the Phat phluid last year in the summer and he swears by it. I think its great, once bled it feels just like a water bleed, but without the issues of freezing and the need to re-bleed it frequently.
  7. I rode a mod back in 2006, loved it. Only changed back to stock because I loved taps and other moves that a mod can not do. Either bike will play havoc with your back, I think it's down to the riding position. Not so much from riding around, but from actual riding. Look at rider's body positions from taps to rear, tucks on sidehops and other moves, the rider's body isn't in the best position to do their back any good. So either way, your kind of doing your self in. Possible preventatives would be do some real stretches to warm up and warm down, and maybe gym work for your back.
  8. They have seat's because they are traditionally a cross between trials and street/bmx style riding. they are ridden more distance effectively and ridden at skate parks and trails as well as round the street. 20" and 26" are aimed more for trials street and trials natural riding, very different to what 24" is aimed at.
  9. Looks really nice mate. Hows it ride compared to the Rockman?
  10. As Ali said. I tried it years ago, couldn't warrant the cost of Magura Royal Blood. Cooking oil bleeds fine, but when you pull the lever it is spongey and the lever has a really slow return. Either use: Water Water with Anti freeze - for Winter Magura Royal Blood Phat Phluid LHM Citroen brake mineral oil - available from Halfords.
  11. I'm 14 stone and using the Trialtech (KMC) chain, mines be sweet, running it for a few months now. Might just be bad luck. I did use a KHE Collapse chain before, only ever snapped it once, and that was due to me landing on it, just behind the bash ring, was pretty heavy impact, so no surprise it broke. As for the weather, can't help you there, but I'd be surprised if it effects the chain performance and strength.
  12. I'm heading to Bournemouth to on Christmas eve, could be up for a ride. Bournemouth/Poole would good, though Bournemouth is only ride able in the evening. Poole is good in the day, but as it's Christmas eve, I'd expect Poole to be packed with shoppers. Portsmouth would be the best bet, all the riding spots are out the way of the shopping areas.
  13. No pressure for me then, lol. No idea why I had those playback issues, pretty annoying, but I don't no alot about editing, so i'll leave it. Cheers for filming for me Ben Cheers mate, took me ages to get the bottle to try it, then to get it nailed and stay on the wall, glad you liked it. Thanks Johny. Cheers Ali, shame my gaps to front aren't that big. Can't wait for your video.
  14. I work for Network Rail on a 3 year apprenticeship. Currently in my 2nd year training as a signal maintenance technician. I also ride my bike for MAD during the Spring, Summer months, in my spare time.
  15. I'm working Friday, but free to ride Saturday, not sure what's on at the moment. I'll find out and send you a message.
  16. I personally think you have a fair point, but rules are rules. So if you would like to buy a bike, you'll to try places like eBay for used, and then if you have questions about what us good, post up asking questions, if you did that way, your more likely to get your votes and a bike.
  17. What a smooth and varied rider. You can tell that he's a good comp rider, from how easy he rides those rocks, yet he rides street with so much ease. Good luck to him for next season.
  18. Cheers Brian, yeah you should get out riding, were not exactly that far apart now. Good to see your both still riding . Glad you loved it Phi. Barrow farm is great, though I don't think I'm gonna be going till the weather is warmer, just gets too muddy at the moment. But if you do go, I might be persuaded, lol. That's cool. Chris we need to get on some off-road, I've still not taken the Boardman off-road, dying to get some trail riding done this winter. The music is personal preference, you clearly didn't like the first song, where I and others do. But do what your saying and have that video of 7 mins to just be music less and just here the riding sounds, would be boring. Even if you did it on your average video which is about 3/4 mins long. The video would be less entertaining. Thanks Peter. Are you still in Norfolk? Have to get on a ride together soon.
  19. I think you'll find it's called iTunes. You can buy and download films on iTunes, slightly pricey for older films, not sure how up to date it is though.
  20. Cheers Chris, glad you liked it. I knows it's got no suspension and is slow, so must have been hard for you to enjoy that, lol. How do you mean stronger?
  21. Cheers for all the comments, greatly appreciated. Rusevelt, I have no idea why it has sped up there, it's a shame, because the rest is all real time.
  22. Are people still going to this? I'm still game.
  23. It's been awhile, but I've finally got some filming done and made a new video. I'm pretty pants at editing, so don't expect anything amazing. Hope you all enjoy. Songs: Cauterize - Shooting Stars Katy B - Katy On A Mission Big thanks to all those who filmed for me
