Ash the same can be said about trials. You can ride it in Fareham so why go to Bristol. The distance to the park was a bit cack, but it was a gd laugh throughout the whole day.
-
i may be down for this, as londons too expensive right now, and soton is so much closer.
-
Actually we didn't go that way back. we followed the sat nav on walking settings and it took us down to the river by the indoor skate park and round to temple meads, took us bout 10 mins to rid there. lol. I did insist that we were going the wrong way, especially when i had seen every bus going down the hill in the opposite direction saying "CENTRE" haha. Ah well, we will learn from our mistakes.
-
That skate park was sweet, you just gotta learn to ride park Ash.

would be cool, i've only got a crappy crank tool, lol. I'l be at the 3 steps on the roundabout for 11am.
-
Fair play to them, i know it's wrong and if we over here got start on and start throwing our bikes at them we'd get done for assault. All i can say is good on'em for standing up for themselves and taking no crap.

I'm only going tomorrow, got a demo to do on sunday now. Has anyone got a bb tool that will fit a FSA bb, the park tool bb isn't long enough to reach the cup splines. Mine feels a bit loose and would appreaciate it if someone can bring one along tomorrow. Cheers

Aaron you should see it ride at Kings I have a bmx, its basic though. DK General Lee There definately unbranded, but look and ride really nice, feel pretty stiff. I got the paint from Halfords, it's their custom paint. without seeing it in person i dnt think the colour will show that well in a picture.

If your v-brake is a decent set -up then it's a doddle to set up. I've got a spare XTR inner and outer cable il bring along, might help the brake feel alot nicer.

it does, but i can assure it's danny holroyd 24 seven replica, especially as it has horizontal dropouts and a 110 rear axle width. Pictures were taken on my phone, will get some better pictures on the weekend. +20 bb rise, 1070 wb and i think a +72 headtube. Not ridden much trials on it yet, but i rode a local skate park today and she rides so amazing and so smoothly. I'l do a video asap, it will be different to my previous vids though, bit more streety now

Got my new bike built last night. Frame is a 24 seven danny holroyd replica with the frameset aditionals. Rest of the spec is a hope mono trial front brake on a mavic D521 with a hope xc hub, rear maggie with blue rock pads with a profile mini cassette hub on a 24 seven rim. I sprayed the frame pearlescent white with a pink tint (dent like the standard issue grey). Thanks to tartybikes for supplying the parts.

Well, I've oreder the rest of parts from Tartybikes today, so i will have my trials bike ready for this weekend, can't wait. I've not ridden Birstol for ages. Really looking forward to this one

Hi all. Me and my gf are planning on road tripping from the 15th December to 24th December, Were looking at going trying to go somewhere new each day. Anyone have any suggestions for places to ride during that time? I'm aiming to atleast ride Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool, Prefer Liverpool and Manc on a weekend. Would love some suggestions especially from riders local to those areas. Willing to travel anywhere, but will depend on where other locations are as we don't want to be travelling over 100 miles every day, lol. If anyone fancy's tagging along in their car then feel free. I've put it up this early so i can have time to get a good idea of what places will be good to go to. Appreciate any helpful replies

Wots The Worst Thing Happend To You Doin Trials
Nick Manning replied to mandry1991's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I bunny hopped up a wall with a rail on top, the rail was only 2ft high, i was trying catch the rail and maual of it, only i came up short wheel hooked up on the frontside of the rail and i went over the handlebars. My hands hurt, but i ignored it, as i wasn't surprised it hurt. bout 5 days later, my right wrist had swollen up. Went to hospital, turned out i had tendonitis. Basically i had damaged my tendons, but where i continued to use my right hand my tendons swelled up and then leaked (sounds nasty but it wasn't). Nurse put a splint on my arm and sai i had to have a week off work, if it didn't get better i would need physio. Luckily about 5 days later my swelling had gone down, and 8 days later i was riding again. I find it funny how, what turned out to be a really serious injury was coursed by such a small fall. -
Not being funny Rick, but you don't get validated because your a good rider and have sponsors. They validate each person depending on how well the users grammar is and how many posts the user makes, and how often the user is helpful with replies to new members topics. The admin, do it this way so that they can monitor which users are likely to abuse full member use and which users will not. Basically, the more helpful posts the user makes and the better their grammar is, the sooner the user will become validated. I know Abdab already is validated and unfortunately cannot log in. Abdab, i sent the admin a message a month or so ago asking if my username could be changed, i still haven't heard from them. Apparently they do take quite a while to reply to messages. Hope this helps and you get full member access asap.

I'm sorry thats a poor excuse!! It doesn't matter if your gonna make a video or not, you should always wear your helmet, cos you never know what might happen. I did notice in quite a few of the clips that your rear brake wasn't holding very well for either of you, so your both lucky neither of you looped out and hit your head. I'm sorry to sound like a nag, but our sport is a dangerous sport, you might not see many accidents, but there are so many possible accidents waiting, which can be down to your brake slipping, a part breaking or you just loosing grip of your bike. You can't afford to take those risks, it's not worth it!!

Cheers for all the positive comments. My camera is a basic one, but it's not that bad, its just that i used movie maker, i need to get adobe. The zoo has now gone, and i do have my new frame, just waiting for the rest of my parts so i can ride it. Kinda, just waiting on my parts, oh and i've sprayed the frame. I think you will like it alot Chris. I'l put pics up once it's built, Hoping to have it ready for the Bristol ride. Rich, i just tried it and it seemed to work, but just for you, i have it on

Bmx and skateboarding are extremely dangerous sports, but thats only because the rider's make it that dangerous by not wearing their helmet. Yes they are moving at a faster speed than most trials riders, though there are alot of street riders than ride at speed i.e bunnyhopping gaps. But, even comp rider's have a high risk factor, slippy rocks, loosing your balance (like the bmxers and skateboarders) putting your foot down dodgy. You don't need to be going at speed for something to be a high risk factor, think if your doing a gap, your chain could snap which could have a really bad outcome, you could be walking down the street and trip over a crack in the path and break your leg, your not even going fast but it has a bad outcome. Too be fair, the only sport that i believe has the most injuries is skateboarding. How many amature and pro bmxers do you see bail and bail badly? It's the same for trials riders, you dont see it very often. I dont mind skateboarder's providing they can skate and keep hold of their board the majority of time, I have respect for them. It's the ones that constantly loose their boards and get in the way of everyone else tht i hate.
