  1. Last month my girlfriend suggested we should go on a break, i didn't see it coming, so i was extremely shocked and surprised. I was due to be going up to see her in 2 weeks time, so she suggested we went on a break until then. She said i wasn't aloud to contact her at all, otherwise the break wouldn't work. she even said that we could see other people, but we both had to promise that we wouldn't have sex. I felt gutted and still shocked, that first week made me feel so depressed, cos i was certain that it was over, (mailny cos thats why you go on a break). Come 2 days before i'm ment to go up to her's i send her text just to see if it's still ok to come up and that she still wanted me too. we were then talking again and it all seemed fine, we had a serious chat when i was with her. She told me that she wanted the break cos she was feeling under alot of pressure at the time, cos of her exams and us being so far apart and not seeing each other very often, she also said she wanted to be certain of her feelings for me and be single to release the pressure of having a bf. She also told me that on the first night of being on a break, she cried her self to sleep, n she then realised that she really loves me. It helped in a way, we both had time to look at things and see how we really felt about eachother. I'm not happy that we went on a break cos she knew that she wanted me straight away, where as iwas dredding the 2 weeks cos i thought it was us over. But i don't regret going on a break. As for you mate, i guess it depends on how things have been going and she feels about you as to whether this is it, or if she truly just needs some time on her own. If you trust her and really think that things are going well for you until now, then more than likely i would say that ul be fine. But if things have been rocky recently and its been cos of her acting different, then i would say cut your losses and leave. I wouldn't suggest going by what any of us have said on here, cos every relationship is different. Just use these comments as a guide. Maybe (if u haven't already) you should talk to her and find out why she wants to go on a break, find out what her reasons are. Hope this has helped mate. Good Luck
  2. That guy seemed really annoying and such a cock. I assume he's a shop owner, but the fact that the walls are not fenced off and that there are benches around the walls, gives the impression that the area isn't private, lol. I've never had problems when i've been there. Everyone should have carried on riding, he would have probably gone for one of you but as u have it on camera, he would have been the one to be getting f***** by the police Think there should be a huge brum ride organised and see what he does when there's a good 20 or more rider's lol.
  3. You obviously haven't seen Rich pearson's leeson Link
  4. I've been persuaded by Jason to come along. I've never ridden this part of the country before, but i'm sure it'll be a sweet ride. Looking forward to meeting all the locals
  5. Dan the picture quality is immense, lol. All the pictures look sweet. That day in Poole was so hot, but such a great day for riding.
  6. That's the only site i could find that was helpful about cycling law. I admit there is nothing referring to wheel size, though it does mention that the only way to avoid a fine is if your under the age of 16. A few years ago i did find a site that stated that if the wheel size was under 20" then that was fine, but i guess the law has changed. I do recommend that everyone that read's this topic should check out Bike for all there are some interesting points and facts on the site.
  7. I know he's a policeman and all, but he is actually wrong. I looked into this a few years ago and found out from a website about laws that, If a bicycle has atleast one wheel smaller than 20" (non-inclusive) then it is classed as a kids bike and therefore allowed on the pavement. I also looked into the rumor about having a certain size seatpost allows you to ride on the path, this however is just a rumor. The law only states about the WHEEL SIZE and nothingelse. Thats should clear people up about the law. However, you are riding on walls and other such obstacles, and so to the police they will class this as criminal damage, EVEN if you'r not causing any damage. they will also claim that what you'r doing is a nuisance to the public and unsafe, and so for those reason's, they will move you on or fine you (unless your under 16). If you try talking to them about having no were to go, majority of the time, they'll tell you to go to the local skate park, don't say that you don't ride skate park's because they will take it that you'r answering back and then do you for it. There are the odd few officer's that are polite and friendly and will just move you or listen to what you have to say. Generally depends on how many rider's there are at the time. Hope this helps and clears a few things up.
  8. I've now been riding 7 yrs, i started out when Trials Kings were making it big. When people were still riding 16" and 14" xc frame with FSA cranks. Trials is the only thing i have ever stuck at, and to still be doing it after 7 yrs is great for me. What keeps me going is: riding new places, meeting new people and having a great laugh when im out riding. Plus if i never got in to riding, then i never would have met my girlfiend. I'm 21 and im really keen on trials and general cycling. i dont plan on quitting anytime soon, but if and when i do, il continue to ride bikes just not trials. Bike trials is the best thing that i ever got into, I love it.
  9. Cool, if its good to ride by july then if its cool, i might pop up one day, whilst i'm glasgow seeing my gf
  10. I rode Aviemore last summer, there's a few nice spots, but i found that like the town everything is on that one main road. Anyway, Danny seems to improve by the minute, lol. God knows what he'll produce in his next video. I'm just glad the UK has such a huge scene with so many various styles of riding. Probably the one and only sport that were actually any good at It would seem that you can only go so big, but its endless as to how sick you can make your riding.
  11. extremely surprised with the comments. cheer's to everyone for being so positive, and thanks for the tips for filming. My camera is quite basic, its a Samsung D362 I got it for christmas but only really used it properly last week. It was my gf that was doing the filming (andy filmed the skate park) I did the editing, i used window's movie maker, as that is all i have. I do find my style of riding more streety on my stock, but riding mod has overally improved my riding, so im happy. I'l carry on doing more filming, but it'll be of me n some local riders, i try and film more steady and in good light, and take more time on my editing. thanks again
  12. cheers for the compliment. its a 2004 model pitbull, swapped my mod with mike from bury st edmunds 2 weeks ago. wheelbase is 1075, it rides so well, i love it. one of the best bikes ive ridden and owened, lol. Is it you that lives or lived in cambridge? Ifso, are you still in cambridge? I wanna come up soon and ride there.
  13. I'm gonna ride poole this weekend, just wandering if anyone fancy's coming down.

    My New Vid

I know everyone is gonna think it's rubbish, and i don't care. This is my first video that i have edited myself, the filiming was done by my girlfriend, and it was the first time i have properly used my camera. It's 3 mins 21 secs long, the song is Jump by Madonna, It was filmed in Glasgow I'm riding a Zoo Pitbull '04 It's on Youtube only.
  15. I never ment it like thqat, i know the ride is this sunday, but i still have to change at winchester and get a bus to reading.
  16. would love to come, but its too costly plus i gotta change to bus at winchester so im gonna stay and ride local.
  17. bump need some people to show us around, lol.
  18. Count me in sue (Nick Manning) I'm sure i can get some of the NBR riders up too.
  19. Look you have done it again. you just said "Id rather sit down and watch a good natural video with technical lines which requires the rider to plan more than just throw himself/herself at an object and hope for the best." I agree with the natural riding part, because that is your choice, if you prefer natural riding, then thats cool. but to go on and say that riders just throw themselves at objects and hope for the best, is obserd. there is more to it than that, just like natural riding. How bout we all just drop it, you didn't like the video, that's fair enough, but you din't have to be so nasty about it.
  20. Just shut the hell up, you are clearly a simple minded person, who sees trials as sidehops, taps, gaps. But in reality trials is whatever you want it to be, thats why there's so many different styles. Also some of the things trials riders do at parks, bmx riders find impressive because we're mixing up trials and bmx, where as bmx riders can only ride bmx style. If you hated the video that much, then you should have just said you didn't like it, instead of slagging it off. All you have done is made yourself look like a twat, and if thats how you make your opinion's, then you're the type of rider that takes the fun out the sport and gives it a bad name. By the way, Romsey station is just up the road from the park. It's a small area of park but there's so much to do there. If your thinking of going then go, you'll love it.
  21. Hope you like ps: His gf did the filming.
