Are outer chain ring bolts the same size as inner?

Try using thinners or a solvent cleaner on the rotor. It seems to help me whenever my brake starts to slip.

Personally I wouldn't trust a v-brake. I prefer to use hydraulic systems on both my brakes. I run a hope mono mini on the front and a magura HS33 on the rear. I have the HS33 water bled and use tar on my rim. Jonny

Hi, I currently have a hope mono mini disc as my front brake. Is it possible to change the caliper only to a mono m4 rather than replacing the whole brake?

I run hope mono mini front disc brake and rear water bled hs33. Found this to be the best setup for me. Definately go for a water bleed, I have had no problem with it freezing and it gives a much better feel to your brake, even after 2 years I have not needed to re-bleed it at all.
