  1. does anyone know what the stock stem was?
  2. hey guys I just picked up a GT team trails, but it didnt have the stock stem/bars. trying to find a stem bar combo that will, be better. I think this stem that is on it now seems to be a 190?? 45* with a flat bar both monty. it feels a bit unstable. cant seem to find any 45* stems only 35*, but if I go with a riser bar???
  3. well a while ago, when I first got the bike, the rotors were barely used, I took the pads out and used automotive brake cleaner. I may have also used a lighter to try and burn anything off. really made no difference. later I did just spray some water on the rotors. that seemed to help for a minute, but eventually back to lack of bite.
  4. Im wondering if that's something to consider? So I kind of feel like its takes just a little more effort to get the front wheel off the ground, and when it does come up it comes up a bit fast, not as controlled as I would like. wondering if a lower gear would give less pop and make the front come up smoother? not sure what my gearing is (stock echo 24)
  5. Whats the deal here? almost new echo 24, the front brake just isn't grabbing. I tried bedding it in, cleaning it etc. I feel like the power is there, but the front brake just doesnt Bite quick enough. Contemplating new pads, any reccomendations? and what Part#? (that can hopefully be had in the USA easily) rear brake Hydro/rim, works fine.

    Grips?

well If I'm honest I kinda and half looking for an excuse to upgrade the grips, some neon yellow with blue lock rings would look good (the bike is black with red bits, I hate red, and black is boring....) I've been stuck in my place since september (didnt have car (was fixing 2 different cars) from sept to feb) (as a former serious tennis player, I had to have my stuff JUST right, custom grip mould, weight and balance, strings, tension, etc, or it felt all wrong, same with my alpine snowboard set up, minor changes could make a night and day difference.) I haven't even taken this bike outside yet!, just playing here in my living room. trying not to, be the new Wii videos.
  7. I have an echo 24, and it came stock with the maxxis holy roller 2.4" im having a bit of trouble getting the track stand down, Im wondering if a more square/dirt/knobby type tire might give me more stability? and what tire might you recommend?

    Grips?

Hey guys, my bike came with swapped out BMX grips, the ones with the fine ribs and not the lock on type. Do you think grips make any difference at all? I normally use a thinner lock on style grip for MTB use. I'm a newbie and looking for anything that can help progression, so I wonder if the thinner grip would give more feel/feedback/response?
  9. I hate, face book, I just got on it again, I really dislike the format, it takes all day to scroll through everything. and there doesnt seem to be a US specific trials page. I want to ride, but we just had 10" of snow here in denver, and its either muddy or wet everywhere. Been trying to ride inside my apt!
  10. Hey,Michael here from team America, I just picked up an echo 24. looks like this is the only active trials forum. Hope you guys don't mind me joining in. Another "trying it again" here. I had a planet X something I built up ages ago with a suspension fork, trying to make a DJ/trials set up, but it just didn't work, so i gave up. I swapped that bike for an almost brand new Echo 24, straight up! (guy must have rode it a block!)
