I was saying I agree with you How do you classify short though? I mean, 1065 (KOT) is probably short by today standards. But when I measured my Orange Zero a few years back, that was 1010 with a rear disc! The new ashton frame has a rear disc mount, as does the Zhi frame. But I'm unsure on the geometry of either of them. I can't beleive you guys don't like the look of the Raven 7.0! I think it looks awesome, but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Apparantly dual disc users are freaks!

I was really torn on this. I was going to go for the Bt Raven 7.0 because I loved the horizontal drop-outs and disc mount. But in the end I went for the Simtra, because of the 40mm disc mount. I didn't want to run an adapter on the rear

Kev's Silly Replace/pigeon/whatever...

Replace.. I like it. We dabbled with calling them Lurches at one point. Pigeon? I'd like to hear the expanation behind that one! At least smoke has a reason! -

I would probably call that a wheel swap variant of some sort. I class a wheel swap as front wheel on object as static and then going to back wheel. If you gap to front wheel and then swap to back, we call that a smoke (comes from a front-to-backy). Smoke that bitch! -
For anyone who wanted a picture. Although it looks the same as most of them the ones I've seen.

Well, you snooze you lose! I've got footage from san fransisco in October that I STILL haven't edited up....

Awesome. Danny Mac Has Skill I wanted to get reverse hopping on bike rails captured on video first Damn you! Let me know if you need a mirror.

If it's not the trials version, it's not 48 engagements..

Darren? He was running a Pro II as well. He was running an XC until recently though. I think it's something to do with the grain in the aluminium.

Well, this is the first hub shell of mine to break. But all the other problems I've had as well, in my heart I've started to lose faith that Hope is the way to go... But logically speaking, I probably just got unlucky and 2007 will be fine. And most of the time I tend to override gut feeling with logic I'll send it back to Hope and see how it goes.

Well Rob is on his third.. And I'll be on my Third as well - in about 12 months...

I got my Pro II (2006 model) back from Hope about a month ago, replacing a spring and a snapped axle. And today, the shell body split almost completely in half - luckily not doing anything big. I've had the WORST luck recently with bike components and this is just the last straw. I've been a loyal Hope customer since 2000 for both Discs and Hubs and I've never had as much trouble as I'm having with these. I keep telling myself, that if Damon Watson can do the stuff he does on a Pro II, then it should stand up to my riding... It's great that Hope warranty these things, but having to rebuild my wheel every time it goes wrong is a PITA. So I'm unsure whether to complain until they upgrade me to a 2007 Pro II and hope that lasts. Or try a different brand, or even go down the front freewheel route. At least with front freewheel, if it goes I can just replace it in twenty minutes without having to rebuild the wheel. Opinions anyone? A particularly frustrated Spodey..

I use three cereal boxes and quick setting epoxy resin.

Hah. There are several meanings of the word Spode, but that's what I was named after Been called it since I was 13/14. Even my family do now!

Hmm, I wanted some spodes put in my rims. This is close enough I suppose.....

If your pod actually popped out, then you'll need to rebleed.

That looks like fun. Might have try one of the hampshire comps!

Well, I wouldn't go that far Fup. I was just busy fitting the bottom bracket! Did I save your day by finding you a toilet, or for the train ticket Andy - remember to add me to MSN.
-
Oh yeah! You were in the hospital. I just did a gap to a flat area and it snapped off. I flew forward and came away completely unhurt. Which is more than I can say for my little tumble later My elbow and head still hurt! If I wasn't wearing a helmet, it would have been a second trip methinks - I really twatted my head!

Was a good ride. Didn't feel quite in it though, quite lethargic. Think I'm going down with a cold. Snapped bottom bracket, but bought on from a rider (Dan?) for £5 and was back in riding. Had trouble getting the snapped portion out mind you. Fat Pants did a nice job of that My bike needs some serious maintenance - everything on it feels crap! I then lost my glove on the way home. I retraced my steps thoroughly, thinking where it could have possibly jiggled out of my pocket. And finally find it at the train station, outside the carriage I stepped off

Yup, I'm In. Wheeler is turning up at 11:30.

Hey, I don't mind doing a product shot for you. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=92538 I did those. Wouldn't take long. I have a 20" monty that I could give the pads a go if you liked too. Light grind though. Something for fun
