  1. My friend fitted a commercial one and it didn't work very well at all. The one above looks awesome though!!
  2. Can you side hop the same height both ways? I can side hop to the opposite direction but no-where near as high.
  3. Ali - where these hope trials, or others? I had a lot of contamination issues with older ones, but I've found these to be a lot less sensitive.
  4. Then we both obviously have very different circles of friends :D
  5. I like Adam got a little unlucky. Everyone I know with a Hope Trials is very happy indeed.
  6. I agree with your sentiment.
  7. ROFL!!!! Oh, wait - you were being serious? I personally side hop to the right, so hitting discs isn't a problem. But team-mate Dave side hops to the left and I don't think he's ever had to replace a rotor. Those dual-disc Montys are absolutely superb bikes - if you have the money, get one.
  8. I'm liking the Ian drop. Must have taken a while to stitch that little lot together!
  9. In Martin's defense - a column is supposed to be thought provoking and get people talking. Often when writing columns, you'll find yourself playing devil's advocate just to get a reaction. In reality, he's doing that. I didn't even know Martin HAD a column in MBUK until I saw the threads on here. So as far as Future is concerned - job done. I'm sure there a many people that agree with what Martin has to say, but he's at least got the courage to stand up and say it - knowing full well he'll be shot down for it. Someone will always disagree with your opinion - especially in something that is heavily opinionated (like a column).
  10. Nothing wrong with being drunk every night....
  11. ROFL. Indeed.. And for those of you who missed that one, here's a topical picture of my arse....
  12. I'm a bit of a Hope junky, so I'm gonna say go with the Hope. I had my first one for a few months and it didn't skip once and then broke, probably due to a manufacturing fault (I was told). So it was replaced very quickly and my new hub hasn't skipped once either. I've not owned a Chris King myself, so I'm not really in a position to say the Hope is better. I can only say what has happened to me and I've ALWAYS run Hope XC hubs. I've had issues that have all been replaced and quickly. But I've been put off of Chris King hubs because of the cost, and issues that I've read about, that could well be founded. Frankly, I'd sooner stick to the devil I know - because Hope has excellent customer service and I know I won't be left out of pocket.
  13. I find it a little hard to bunny hop, but I think that's just the nature of a high BB. You get used to it.
  14. Totally agree. One of my best friends is gay who originally had a wife and kids. Finding out he was gay (by piecing several clues together) did nothing but strengthen our relationship (not in that way ).
  15. "People are complaining that gay men try to broadcast their sexuality; straight men are just as bad, if not worse. The Alpha male attitude of some utter twats I've had to serve on friday nights where I work makes me want to go postal." Totally with you there. I don't particuarly like any extreme. Extreme females annoy me the most I'd say (think of the film "Clueless"). But especially over the top alpha males, who repress far too much in order to be that way. It's all about balance, so that you can be who you really are without an over-compensation crap.
  16. A stolen KOT MS2?? The worst possible crime Hope you find it.

Hmm. I know what you mean, both Linkin Park and Guano Apes are on the pop side of rock. But I quite like both and will ocassionaly listen to them. Songs from both bands conjour up memories I'd sooner not forget!
