Think the last guy answered this. But just a minor clarification. Because you are using a crossover cable, there probably isn't a DHCP server around to assign the IP addresses. So either install ICS or something on what of the machines, which will come with a DHCP server, or just assign the IP addresses manually as above.

Erm, he didn't specify if it was a disc or magura...

Other than they are made in the same factory...

Editing was nicely done. Better than I can do (but hey, doesn't take much) Keep practicing

Have you both gone as far as finding the interface for your modem? Go to a command prompt. - type in ipconfig /all Look for the section that says "default gateway". Note down the IP address next to it. Probably 192.168.0.1 In a web browser, type in "http://192.168.0.1" replacing it with your IP address. That's a good starting point.

I'm living in Egham (Nr. Staines) and that's on the same train line as Twickenham. Add me to MSN, I'll join you for some riding

I remember when I started, there was a platform that was no more than 1foot high, if not less. And I was petrified of riding off it. It takes time! I'm still a complete pussy

Most uni's block these things. Look in to setting up Stunnel on port 443 (which won't be blocked) on a PC outside your network - perhaps at home. Then you can just tunnel all the ports you need through this, or use it as a SOCKS server. I'm not going to tell you how - that's all the info you need.

That was YOU You will pay! Joe - I'll add you to the list

Yeah, well it's the bike's that matter No, as I said above - the filter I used zoomed in slightly and lost heads. In hind sight perhaps I should have just put up with the slight shake and turned it off. I might try a re-render later. Could do with a wide-angle really.

Good job Fred.

It's just another thing at the back of your mind to worry you when you're about to do something big... Get a tensioner

Well, I bought it for putting stuff on the internet, not DVD. And considering you'll pretty much always resize the stuff for the net, I figured the lower resolution wasn't a huge issue. As NTSC has a slightly higher frame rate, it's questionably slightly better for fast moving stuff like trials. However, in saying that, I bought it on a whim while in SFO and completely forgot about the NTSC/PAL difference and instead just looked at the amazing deal I was getting So I'm kind of justifying my purchase

I'm sure Matt will see it in a good light. It was just such a great angle, and such a great shot, I couldn't NOT use it! Yeah, it's not bad. But I'm definetely going to have to consider getting an HD Cam. Take advantage of my Journalist discount

That's all I had of you. If I remember rightly Chris, you objected to me filming you as you wanted someone proper doing it, like JJ :P What's your last name btw, I'll update my list. Yeah, I'm not a serious filmer or anything - so the thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I've only had the camera a few months! I think one issue, was that I was using a Premiere plugin that removes any camera shake. In order to do this, it zooms in slightly. So I lost a little bit, with heads etc. But it really does the job.

I've just uploaded it to YouTube too. http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=thinkbikes

Hey Everyone, Finally got around to editing up the footage. This is only the second video I've ever edited - so be gentle on me. http://www.thinkbikes.com/media/LondonSep3.avi It's encoded in xVid/DivX with MP3 Audio and it's 13MB. It's under 2 minutes long as I really didn't get that much footage at all. The song is "Free" by VAST (Visual Audio Sensory Theater). Riders Include: Dave Lowe Darren Hill Matt Staples (Who is going to kill me after he sees the video....) Sam Wheeler Fred Grillet Andrew Chai Tom Rankin Leon Neill Nick Goddard Chris Ward Joe Elding If I've missed anyone off, tell me and I'll add it to the list. I haven't linked to this on the thinkbikes.com site yet, as I'm still working out how I'm going to separate the promotional side of the demo team, and trials community stuff (don't want potential customers downloading the wrong videos now, do I ;))

A Trial Trip To The Uk (from Israel)

LOL. Trials-Forum -
X2VNC sounds a little like Synergy. I'll have to have a look at that. I generally use VNC because I control both Windows and Linux machines, so I only have to have one piece of software installed. rdesktop - if I'm not mistaken, this allows Linux machines to connect to Remote Desktop on a Windows machine? (p.s What Linux Distro are you using? I'm a Fedora man myself..)

You can get a good idea of when rides here by checking on TF for the dates you are going to be down. -
The "i'm About To Leave Home For Uni In A Strange City"

I went to the Uni. And yes, I kept it in my room. Only during the last term mind you when I realised how much weight I'd put on -

I did. There's a really old video of me floating around with some Canterbury riding. PM me if you want it. You'll find some spots I'm sure I could be co-ersed into coming down and showing you around if you want. Nostalgia etc! -
Seconded. some places put a second kerb up to seperate the cycle path - that should be standard.
