  1. I hate to say it but I am already doubting that the echo hub will be much good, people have tried designs like that in the past and they just skip like buggery and blow up quickly. However, if they have put enough testing in then they could be onto a winner. Ill stick with my king though I think, tried and tested. (Y)
  2. I ride switch sometimes on the smaller stuff if im bored, you can make usually shit sections more fun because they become so much harder when riding with your wrong foot forward. I can do all the basics switch. Look at riders like Vincent Hermance, he can sidehop and tap over bar height switch footed, as well as ride beasty natural all with jis wrong foot forward! I suppose that what 11 years of experience get you. (Y)
  3. I would agree there, then if you do get it the bars wont feel too high compared to your current bike. I really really want a czar but I have to get some money first. When I do (by christmas probably) I will be purchasing the czar frame and the low hi-fi stem, then just using my zoo bars. (Y)
  4. My Avid has always been awesome, wet and dry. I have only cleaned the pads once and I have had the brake for about 6 months now, not sure exactly how long. I still have the original pads from when I got it and the performance is perfect, good modulation and powerful lock and bite. I run a cheap fibrax cable and there isnt much sponge either. I run quite a bit of cable through the caliper and my pad adjusters are screwed fairly far in but thats because of pad wear, not to change the performance. When I first fitted mine my cable had too much length to it, so I trimmed it down and it felt so much better! Less friction so its smoother and doesnt sponge as much. If youre cable is too long or can be trimmed, run it as short as you can, it really does make a difference to how the brake feels. It doesnt increase power, just makes it feel better at the lever. Try it. (Y)
  5. Yeh links stopped working for me too. (Y)
  6. I went to an open evening at John Leggott college (local college I want to go to) and I am quite sure on doing Geography, History, Electronics and Design. After I have taken those subjects I have to go down the route of either the first two or the second two, so it kind of leaves it open for me. (Y)
  7. Thats Xavier Casas or something I beleive? Good rider, up there with the likes of Vincent, Benito, Beleay etc.
  8. Yeh but if there is a gap in the middle it is a lot harder to get the confidence to even try the gap incase you fall into the middle. Looks like your doing it fine, just practice. (Y)
  9. I am riding a t-rex and after a dirt bike your trials bike will feel weird, especially one with comp geometry like the t rex. I run a zoo bar and stem with no spacers at all and fatty r forks so my front end is pretty low. I am 6ft2 and dont have any back problems and it feels nice for everything, easy to pull up onto the backwheel, sidehop, touchhop, backwheel, wheelswap etc etc. Keep riding it regularly and see if you get used to the feel of it, if you dont buy some riser bars (like the zoo's or onza carbon risers) and try it then. (Y)
  10. Trials and gym, thats all Im interested in doing. I play football at school to pass the time at lunchtime etc but not out of school. I suppose I am pretty boring, not a fan of team sports either, they are OK now and then though. (Y)
  11. Mint video, 20 minutes of awesome riding. (Y) The slow motion at the end was annoying though, and that bit where Vincent falls off doing an endo is well funny after seeing him pulling unbleievable stuff, the simpler tricks catch him out (happens to me a lot though, I always fall off when Im just riding along or whatever). (Y)
  12. oh my god! Mint video, some crazy spins from matt staples and some big riding from andrew chai, worth the download. :turned:
  13. I have always prefered stock to mod because mods feel really untable to ride, as if you were going to fall off every time you went for something remotely big. They are suited to static only moves really but I like them for natural and I can hop really high on them because they are so light compared to my beefy t rex. :D
  14. Mint video, nice to see so many good riders in one video riding together. Some huge and very technical moves pulled there from everyone, as you would expect from elite riders. :D
  15. Nice pictures, that static gap that Peter Backgren did in Bristol looks massive! I like the first one, mixture of lighting looks cool. :D
  16. That is one of the sweetest bikes I have ever seen, I am going to have to get one (quite a lot of saving up to do), bet they ride as good as they look. <_<
  17. Good to see you posting on here, its been a while since we heard anything from any of the trialskings. All of your old clips and videos were amazing, they would hold their own even now when yhe sport has progressed so much. So I guess the only two that are taking it seriously still are James and Danny? Anyway your all legends, its a shame trialskings.com had to be taken down, I would still watch the clips every so often to get inspiration. :(
  18. I second that, bb's are one of those boring parts that it doesnt really matter about how they look, as long as they perform well. I run the same as Fatmike (Truvatic gigapipe dh 128mm) and I have had mine for over 6 months with no problems. The only downside is that its heavy. :)
  19. I really like the monty ti 2006 and how they ride. They look good too. :)
  20. I had the same dilemma a couple of weeks ago, see my topic here I ended up going for the try-alls because they are the only shoes that go up to my size. I have ordered them but have to wait until this Friday to get them... :)
  21. Thats what I get, shit site.

    The Awaited

Mint photos, that 14.5ft gap is crazy! So is the hook to back wheel on the rails. (Y)
  23. Looks like a good idea, but isnt really necessary. I would rather just buy a new hanger and I keep spares anyway so Im not stuck with a broken bike!
  24. Nice video, some great all round riding as you would expect from top level pro's. Is it just me or is Gilles Coustellier not riding as well on his koxx as he used to on his Coustellier bike? He doesnt seem to be going as big at all and he doesnt look as stylish and smooth either. Maybe hes just getting used to it. :D
  25. Yeh sorry about that...I dont have a program to edit .mov files otherwise I would have made a full video by now! Cheers for the tips so far. :P
