  1. Cheers for the tips guys, one thing that puts me off learning both ways is that I would go through mech hangers very quickly when trying it on walls!
  2. Anybody? 95 downloads and two people who have commented and watched it?
  3. I bought my avid brand new (when the pads are all glazed and shiny) and all I had to do once it was set up was pour cold water over the whole brake then ride really fast and scrub the brake hard. After that one bedding on period it is mint and has been ever since. :turned:
  4. Lol that happens to all of us, you take your time to ride somewhere out of town or whatever and your bike knackers up, so you eiother have to go home or sometimes your lucky because someone has a spare. Looked like a big backwheel though. :turned:
  5. I had the same problem with my nokia 7610 not being recognized but I found out that you have to go into control panel, system then device manager when the phone is plugged into the computer (and software has been installed) and check next to your phone on the list that all the drivers are installed, for my phone there were about four, after that its works perfectly and I am very impressed with how easy it is to transfer files from pc to phone and vice versa. :turned:
  6. Wow thats bad, I thought pitbulls were tougher than that... :turned:
  7. I very much like the zenith frame but the one above it looks sick, very ugly indeed. :turned: I wouldnt go for the zenith though as its only 1070 and im a tall rider. (Y)

    Video

Cool video, seem chilled out and some good riding too. :turned:
  9. Nice photos, cant beleive how many there are! :turned:
  10. Im guessing it was a pedal gap yeah? That is huge mate, well done. :turned: Nice pictures too.
  11. A hell of a lot of people say the same thing, that they are tired of riding because they dont see themselves improving and so get frustrated. It happens to all of us, the learning curve in trials means that you hit a lot of plateus where everything seems harder. Just plug away and eventually you will be on the up again. If you cant be bothered though then quit if it makes you happier. Its up to you. B)
  12. Just what I was thinking! Nice sidehop anyway. B)
  13. Anyone else watched the clip?
  14. I have just downloaded and installed quicktime alternative from the page you have linked to and it plays all my other .mov files fine but not this one! :ermm: Help?
  15. Video doesnt work for me either, strange for quicktime
  16. Yeh I have always sidehopped to the left, its better because I hardly ever break a mech hanger. I can honestly see no advantage sidehopping to the right. Cheers for the comments guys, anyone else? 38 downloads and two replies? :ermm:

    Me Again

Hello again, I have been practicing sidehopping over a rope every so often in my back garden and my goal is 40 inches (roughly my bar height) I'm close but but I'm having a job getting there so I was hoping you guys could give me some pointers. Below is a clip of me sidehopping over a rope, its only about 30 something inches (didnt measure it) as if I go any higher I'm not very consistent. Anyway, fire away; Sidehop Any help is appreciated. :ermm:
  18. I say mag-your-a, it sounds stupid when people say magoora. (N)
  19. Yeh a chris king classic hub which is the non-disc one. They are very expensive new though so try and look around for a second hand one!
  20. Yeah I have had two hopes both of which had to be repaired about five times each! I really have gone off hopes, they didnt impress me much at all. I now run a king anyway and its amazing, got it cheap off ebay and its worth every penny. (N) Amazing engagement, lightweight, strong and looks good all at the same time. (Y)
  21. Wasnt that because you left the bb hanging out the frame by a few threads? Anyway my bottom bracket was beginning to creak and click but i took the drive side crank off and cleaned and greaed it then put it back on and the creaking had gone! (N)
  22. Good idea, you may as well spend the little extra and get a frame that isnt going to break soon and that has better geometry and so rides better. There was a 1065 echo pure for sale on here for £100, looked brand new as well. Have a look, you might be lucky. (N)

    .~

I run heatsink blues with no tar and they lock like buggery! Loud sharp squeal and feirce lock! I can understand the brake mounts being fatigued by constant vibration and stretching but trials frames should be designed to take that kind of abuse. I for one would rather run a good brake that I can trust than worry about little cracks in my frame!
  24. Oh, its just I hate people who think they have to smoke to be 'cool' or whatever. Its pathetic. Wasnt having a go at anyone, just making a point. (N)
  25. I hope this isnt a vain excuse to start smoking because of peer pressure. Smoking is pathetic, I have never smoked and never intend to. My parents have just stopped and are finding it very difficult. A little white stick that you gain nothing from but it gives you cancer and shot health. Hmmm sounds real good to me. (N)
