Good to hear your happy with your riding again, a 9ft static gap is certainly something to be proud of!

I have owned/currently own all of those parts mentioned and they are awesome, i recently swapped my 1065 levelboss for a t-rex though as its longer because im a lanky bugger lol. I also use a rear hope mono hub which hasnt been bad, never skips on me but doesnt last long enough :bunny:
-
What more can you say, i had one for a few months that i bought from the bike show and it was crap mainly due to lack of grip and puncture protection. The only good thing was that it was lighter than most other tyres.

Strange and random topic but funny nonetheless. There are loads of pissheads round town where i live and they always stop and watch in amazment and ask you to do stuff even if it is really easy ie 'o mate, can you hop on your backwheel, bet you cant!'. I usually do some tricks to shut them up, my favourite being a 360 megaspin because their jaws drop in amazement :bunny:

Mint pictures, some stylish riding there too :bunny:

I would either wait for the new ashton (out soon i think) or go for the alibongo now, stay away from the woodman if you want a frame that will last (skinny tubing or what). I suppose they are light though :(

Exactly what i am thinking, i would have thought this sort of discussion belonged in his references but hey :D . I have never dealt with him so i cant comment but he seemed to be harmlessly informing us of new parts then the arguments began (Y)

Where did you get it from?
-
When i put new grips on i spray hairspray into them and slide them on, then leave them for a few hours to completely dry, if you dont leave them long enough then your grips will always slip from then on so be patient. :(

Thats exactly how i fixed my tpa about a year ago, still works to this day too. The most annoying part is cutting the bolt head accurately, i had to use a blunt blade :(
-
I dont think chris light rode either, i didnt see him anyway...

They dont just pull out, they have a lip on the end as they are designed not to come out for safety reasons. If they pulled out then everytime you pulled the lever they would just fall out! Everytime i have had knackered pistons i had to buy the whole caliper for one side (piston, body etc) as they dont sell pistons seperately.

That is very nice, should be a hell of a change from your previous bikes. I thought it was an ashton until you said it was a proto frame. All of the bikes shown in this thread are mint, especially the leesons :(
-
I have got the whole of tm1, every single section seperately but i dont fancy spending hours uploading onto eengoedidee :(

Is there any footage anywhere of this comp?

I ride if its wet but not actually raining. The main problem i have is my back brake isnt much cop in the wet so it spoils riding for me. My front avid disc is awesome in the wet and my tyres grip too, but even though i am running good pads on a good grind with no tar it loses its bite significantly in the damp weather.

I would have a look at the echo hi-fi forks, lots of gusseting and designed for pure trials moves such as hooks as someone has mentioned. I havent heard of anybody who owns a pair though so i dont know if they would be any good...
-
I would definately say that the echo team is the nicest to ride, the levelboss is a strong sturdy frane but lacks the design and flickiness of the echo. The echo is also nicer looking and has a springier feel to it unlike the levelboss (my opinion). So, i woud say the echo is the better frame. :(

Nice site, needs more content adding though but im sure you'll be doing that in the near future. :(

Is It Worth Spending More Money For An Xtp

I know what you're saying, but waynios right. There is too much copying going on in trials with frames, rims, forks, pads, etc etc so it is nice to buy an original that has had some effort put into it and has the name to go with it. The czar frames do look like good value, but they are just copies of the xtp at the end of the day and i'm pretty sure that the xtp is lighter anyway despite being a little weaker. Koxx are a pure trials company, they make competition worthy frames and you will see that if you go to a world round like the one at addingham on sunday. They only sign riders that do well in competitions as that is what their bikes are designed for. -
I had this problem with my old fsa platinum pro bb. There isn't anything much you can do but replace the bearings or buy a new bb (probably cheaper). Check that everything is tight and greased up and just ride it, creaking may be slightly annoying but its still rideable.

That is very sweet indeed, i think i prefer it in black now :)

Is It Worth Spending More Money For An Xtp

I agree, i ride a 1080 t-rex and ride mainly street (UCI style though) and i can still 360 megaspin, manual, tyre tap etc on it no problems. I have recently started riding more natural though and enjoy the challenge more. A lot of street riders prefer longer frames now as taps and sidehops etc have become more popular and longer frames help these kind of moves. -
Oh i understand how it works now... Its pointless trying to sacrifice strength, reliability and safety for more engagements. Yes more engagements does help in trials but in my opinion a hope engages quick enough for me, i have ridden on kings and they do feel nice but i cant afford one :)

Lol my mate actually did use tar on his discs front and rear because they were so dodgy. It didnt really do them any good though, but seeing as they were knackered anyway why not try? Anyway i would go for the ebc reds as a lot of people seem to agree that they are good pads and more hassle free than plazmatics.
