  1. Thats what i'm doing, my rear hope mono hub just keeps breaking and its not worth the money in the long run. I have a rear trials hub on order, but i have to wait until september for it, i am sure it will be worth it though, they have put a lot of design and testing into this hub, and like no other hub on the market, it is sold to be used for trials, chris kings and hopes are designed for xc or possibly downhill, not the rigours of trials. I was considering a front freewheel setup, but decided not to as they seem to skip a lot and i cant afford new cranks.
  2. I dont like that much at all, way too strange and just doesnt do it for me at all :-
  3. Is it better than biketrials magazine? I subscribed to that and wasnt all that impressed, not enough content and was aimed at beginners just starting, told me stuff i already knew :D
  4. Absolutely mint video, the rididng is unbelievable, the editing is top and the songs are class too :D Its the sort of thing you would expect to pay for, awesome :P
  5. Very nice, looks sweet and those zoo cranks look smart too, nearly bought some for my stock :D
  6. Round my area there are about five or six dedicated riders, only two or three go out often though! I have noticed that last year loads of people started, mainly very young riders but now the scene where i live is just about dead except for a very small bunch (Y)
  7. Happened to me too with my rear mono, the internals were shagged and the warranty had run out a few months before but they sent me a ful new hub boxed and everything! My mono is bust again though so i have ordered a rear trial hub but i have to wait until september for it, oh well. Top company though :P
  8. Thats a bad crack there, im not surprised though from how big matt staples went on it! Nice frames too (Y)

Jesus that is huge, although they do need the space i suppose. Must have cost a bomb, they should have used a little spare area for a trials course (Y)
  10. Nice, except for the overpowerul front disc (Y) I have heard they are quite heavy too, they weigh more than the old levelboss 20" frames (they were quite heavy for a mod frame).
  11. Nice video, i have had this for a while though as i saw it a couple of weeks ago on otn (Y)
  12. Lol that was harsh! I suppose there is no point trying to keep riding it properly though is there? Might as well go all the way, it looks more impressive ^_^

Nice riding pictures there, i dont like the new ashton much though. It just doesnt look right, the worst bit being the colour scheme ^_^
  14. I like the bash, looks well made. However, that tensioner is ugly but if it works...
  15. That looks well sweet, when i looked at the topic i expected an ugly thing with silly geometry, but that looks like a quality frame. Reminds me of a curtis a little because of the shape ^_^
  16. Agreed, it got a little long after a bit but a good video nevertheless (Y)
  17. Very good video, I saw it on trials shack before you posted it on here and wondered when you were going to tell everyone it was out. Some awesome riding, some huge taps, gaps and sidehops as well as front hooks from everybody in the video :shifty:
  18. I have seen this trailer before from COtrials.com and i didnt think that it was all that good. But the full dvd will probably be much better, so you cant really judge by the trailer i suppose :shifty:
  19. Didnt rowan johns run black pads on a smooth rim? He went huge too, he could touchhop twice bar height from what i saw in his videos :shifty: I have decided that i prefer to use a smooth rim with a little tar (probably cheap and cheerful koolstop pads too) rather than the setup that i have now, zoo pads on a ground rim. Theres no modulation at all :shifty:
  20. Great pictures, some nice lighting as you said there and that drop is pretty big :shifty:
  21. Erm, no offence but was it just me or was that gap nothing special? It seems like you are trying to tell everyone how far you can gap but i have done that size before easily, i just expected a huge gap thats all. I noticed a lot of creaking from your bike too lol :-
  22. One handers on the back wheel are pretty easy if you practice what people have said here, just pop up onto the backwheel, pull the bike steep then let go of handlebars with your front brake arm then stretch it out You should be able to hold it for a second or so before the bike drops and you return your hand to land.
  23. For some reason porthcawl two didn't show up on the webpage before, it only showed the ogwyn one and the first porthcawl one. I have downloaded porthcawl two now though and it is a nice video, some technical natural riding there :-
  24. Erm, when i downloaded it the video was an old one I had seen before of you on your koxx mod with red rims, the music was offspring. Is it the ogwyn one thats new?
  25. Yeh i remember pictures of those on the leeson website. On 26" bike i dont know how a rotor so small can provide sufficient braking. Anyway this little bike sounds like its gonna be mint, youll have to post pics when its done.
