Construtive critism coming here, I didn't like it. Theres quite a bit you need to do before your putting out very good vids. Firstly the camera quality wasn't good, there was nothing exiting about the vid, no alternative angles, use of surrounding etc. Alot of stuff was just you in your garden so there wasn't a whole lot of variation of scenery. Riding was okay, how long you been riding? Thats about it, mucho room for improvement.

Afternoon all, just thought I would throw a thought at you all about the echo tensioner, where did the idea go ? I just glanced at the full build adamant with the tensioner on it, but no where has them and nothing has been said. Whats going on ?

If you have a local bike shop get down there, ask them if they could show you around a bike in return for free work. A guy did that where I work, i'm sure it helped him no end, give it a try, they least they can do is say no.

If you want a half link chain reluctant do one which is quite nice, doesn't stretch a mile like the shadow chain either. Kmc are very good chains as are the khe.

If you can get a 110mm long with 10deg rise, my friend has one on his stock and its very good, you might want to take into account your fork length when going for a higher/lower rise stem.

You need to get a licence of some sort, then get out to the comps. If you can, speak to someone who competes in a local comp, i'm sure they will have pretty much all the info you need.

Yeah the whipperman chains are good, I used to run one on my trials bike. You could look at the better sram chains, they are good quality and strong.

Use your old cable to hold the mech in place, what you need to do is just get the inner cable and put it in the hole in the mech at the barrel adjuster, move the mech to where you want it with your hand, then tighten the cable where the mech sits, sorted. You can also use the barrel adjuster to move it up or down one gear on your cassette.

I only had mine about 3/4 months I think ?
