  4. Watch the vid about grinding on tartybikes.
  5. Yeah that's exactly what you don't want.
  6. I was in a quiet cocktail bar once, the barman liked the cherry flavor in the cherry muller corner so much he actually used it to make a cocktail, then tried to replicate it using flavored spirits and what not. He failed, but we got to drink his attempts.
  7. I'd have thought questions like that - more blog / non purchase advice questions would have been ok?
  8. With regards to tar, I've never understood how you can just go 'dig it out of a road'. When i used tar i found a good load of it in the middle of the slabs that made up the sea wall. The tar in roads is combined with a bunch of rocks and shit so it isn't any good. When you do get hold of some tar it has the same consistency as really old chewing gum that's been stuck under a table for a week. Hard, but you can dog your fingernail into it. The best way i found to apply tar is a dozen little lines in the same direction as the spokes (pointing towards the hub) this way you get a even spread when you drag your brake. Always put a little on and add more, you can't remove tar from rims easily so don't put too much on. And put even less on in hot weather. Don't spin your wheel and hold the tar against it, or colour your rim 100% black with it. You end up with waaaay to much on.
  9. Wow, seriously?! Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww.

  14. Ahhhh, I knew I'd have missed something!
  15. So that would mean the wheel would sit back 13mm per link added. So how can you get from 350mm to 355mm CS's?
  16. I get what you're saying. But people do it because it's just easier, less messy and gives the leaver a lighter feel.
  17. So that means the wheel will sit quarter of an inch / 6.35mm further back when a links added. 350 to 355 = 5 355 to 362 = 7 Suppose that makes sense with rounding. I guess I'll be able to sleep peacefully tonight then. How's the Koxx White Sky feel to ride then? It has a huge CS length compared to the rest. Or is that just to make up for the very high bb?
  18. Well with regards to mods, 18/12.
  19. Never mind, you answered my question while i was typing it. So what is the length added to the CS when one link is added to the chain?
  20. So, how can one frame have a CS of 362 and another have a CS of 363? Adding one link onto a chain would surely increase the CS length by more an one mm?
