A trick that's used on the comp here is to piggy back on another competition. Maybe if there's a local moto trials comp, have a comp at the same time, same area, and organize it so that people sign up and pay an entry free to them. Here we piggyback off MTB /XC comps. Insurance covered.

Well if something is cheaper and lighter, usually means it's not as strong. *Shrugs*.

Well it's a beginner bike so compared to something worth over 1000 pounds it's not going to feel as good. What stock would you recommend he buy for under 300 pounds?

Unless you need them within a few days, heatsink bikes are fine.
