Well that's why I try and say 'use weed' instead of 'smoking weed' because if I were to ever use it I'd vaporize it... or eat it. I'm sure a lot of users use tobacco too, but they'll probably have a good drink from time to time too.

I think my views on it are distorted a little from being in the USA rather than the UK. Pot is much more widely used and accepted out here, and it comes with a much smaller penalty I presume. So maybe it's more of a case of more 'couldn't give a shit' people are using weed in the UK as opposed to the people out here. Maybe the people you guys have had experiences with were like that before they started using weed? I still feel pot is safer. You can't overdose with pot for a start, the only way you can kill a labrat with pot is to drop a big chuck of it and squish it to death. I also still feel pot is less addictive physically, possibly about the same as alcohol when we're talking to the addiction of changing your mental state but that's just because they intoxicate you on roughly the same level (or the same level can easily be achieved). All I know is I'd rather have a friend go out and get completely wasted on pot rather than alcohol.

Interesting, only thing I knew from this video is that pressing 999 or 112 will override any pin number etc. Also I'm pretty sure that every UK mobile phone has to legally be able to call 999 without a sim.

Well smoking pot is much safer than people drinking alcohol, it's less addictive, doesn't make people run round town smashing people in the face. It's kind of a shitty selfish attitude to have, it's like when people talk about gay marriage and say "well I'm not gay so I really don't care".

Would you rather have alcohol banned too, but you would still have a beer or two when you got home? Besides, legalizing pot isn't going to mean that many more people use it, but if it does maybe people will smoke rather than drink which is beneficial.

Well I would use it if it was legal. But I'm sure not getting piss tested at work and losing my job. The vast majority of pot smokers would like it legalized. The only users who don't are the one's selling it.

Yeah you can, but you can get addicted to coffee, they're about on the same level. It's not a physical addiction but a mental one, ie addicted to the effects but your body doesn't crave it like with alcohol. I'm with Dave on this one big time. It's very clear that cannabis can be used to treat medical conditions. I wouldn't go as far as saying it can 'cure cancer', but I'm certainly not going to say it can't. Problem is because the stuff is illegal there's a lot less testing done with it. The biggest benefits I've seen with regards to medical cannabis is with people with things like schizophrenia, seizures, tourettes... in fact the list is endless. It's also better that any legal meds for the side effects of chemotherapy as seen not only with adults but with children too. The fact that we have this medication, but it's against the law to give it to a 4 year old with brain cancer who's on high levels of chemotherapy and can't eat, drink or do anything other than lay in bed feeling like death, is a f**king disgrace. What's even stupider is that hemp is also against the law to grow. Hemp looks like cannabis however it's the male type of the plant, and can not be used as a drug in any way shape or form. However it's illegal because it looks like the female, just without the buds. Hemp can be used for a bunch of things, even easy to digest protein. However (in the USA anyway) some guy who owned forests and made paper didn't want hemp being used to make paper so he made it illegal. The entire thing is a f**king mess, cannabis should be made legal outright.

Well, look, we're talking about the correct way to do something wrong. I wasn't taught anything other than those specific orders of operations, and I only found out from a question like this a couple of years back that multiplication / division and addition / subtraction have the same priority and should be worked left to right. Was everyone else taught that at school with he orders of operation?

Well this is what I'm saying, how's anyone supposed to know that DM and AS are grouped together as pairs and B and O aren't. When I got taught it we were never told of that... I bet if you posted my example to facebook and told people to use BODMAS to solve it most people would give the answer -10.
