  1. I aren't having an issue with the external HDD, but my desktop items not showing. I think I've somehow set my desktop to find shit from another directory (a directory on my external HDD) possibly?
  2. I copied my entire 'my documents' folder over to my external hard drive for backup and then when I next look, all but 3 (my computer, my documents and the recycle bin) are left. There's a folder in my documents with all my original desktop items in there but I can drag them to my desktop. When I restart, a message comes up telling me it can't find my desktop because [path linked to my external HHD) can't be found. WTF?
  3. Wow. I'd have just thought f**k it. Send all the orders the next day and send customers a "we're sorry" note.
  4. I'm ignoring everyone's advice and I'm attaching a wheel at point D.
  5. Yeah if the 2x4 doesn't do the trick I'll put something back up there.
  6. I have. I also took off the wire that was helping only a little. The wire kept stretching though and constantly needed tightening. Will put a 2x4 up asap.
  7. I think that was the logic of whoever put it up in the first place. Problem is most of the screws have worked loose because of the constant sagging and lifting.
  8. So do I want the support in tension or compression? B to C seems most popular and what I instinctually thought would be best, and I was going to push the gate up opposite of the way it was sagging, and then past the level point too before I screw it in, then hopefully the little sag in then has would bring it down to a level point. It may not, but this gate is a little f**ked anyone so as long as it helps a little it'll be fine. I could, but that would mean having to cut a slot down the middle of one of them and twice as much stuff to do. I don't have the skills.
  9. This is a picture of my gate. Red are 2x4's, yellow is 2x2's. Green are the hinges, orange arrow is the sagging. The gate sags by a couple on inches. Basic knowledge of physics leads me to believe gravity might be the culprit. Basic knowledge of geometry tells me that the arse who built this thing only used wood vertically and horizontally, and nothing diagonally, making it like an accordion. I was thinking about cutting up a 2x4 and putting it across diagonally. Would this actually help the sagging? If it would, should I put it A to D or B to C?
  10. I'm using chrome and I have no see-through-ness.

  18. Ok, it's been a thing on TF that really annoyed me over the years, newbies come and post on TF asking why one of their magura pistons ways sticks out and barely moves while the other moves freely. Then you get 20 people with different advice on how they need to re bleed, re bleed with water, rebleed with oil. Need to lube the pistons, an a host of other things. All that is happening most of the time is that they've got the bike with maguras, used the crap out of them and they just keep on turning that red tpa further and further. All the tpa does is push more oil through or it takes up the slack. Once the tpa has taken up the slack, any more adjustment is going to push one pad out only, it's very rarely going to push out both pads evenly because there's always going to be one piston that's free-er than the other. The more tpa the more that pad is going to stick out, and the closer it'll constantly sit to the rim. Simple fix is just undo the tpa right up to the point just before it hits that slack point, then re-position the actual pistons and everything'll be fine. Yes, you're right, I take that back.
  19. Haha, read his neg feedback.
