What's a shock pump and why would I need one?
-
Rich seems to have realized the biggest problem. Someone will bid and not pay, something will sell for too low and the seller won't sell it. As we have it now, people are free to offer whatever amount they like, if the seller wants to accept he can.

There was a bysell re-direct? Buysell is never going to live up to it's potential until you ditch the old system so that everyone is using it. Having two systems running at the same time means divided attention and sellers feel like they have to post in both and buyers have to look through both, very inefficient. And considering it's been an entire year since it was introduced it's well overdue. Well considering where website updates is, it's put it right below that in media.

Melancholy? Experiencing depression has nothing to do really with how good your life is going. But what can effect it is how your life is now relative to what it once was. Stress is the biggest source of depression for me. I also recently discovered that my increase in drinking it's stopping vitamin C from getting into my system which was causing me depression. Bottle of OJ in the morning cures my hangerover depression in 1 hour.

Lack or replies where? In here? I wouldn't let that be the judge of anything as this topic has probably been skipped over by most. A new topic to see what people think maybe in chit-chat would be better. But yeah buysell is clearly the way to go with regards to selling stuff, it's just not going to get used to it's full potential until the forsale sub forum is removed / disabled. Also while I'm on the topic, isn't it about time for a TF ideas / suggestions / problems / updates sub-forum rather than just spreading all the TF related topics over chit-chat / news and website updates? Then I could post this broken feedback picture there:

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Yeah I do. I'll just rob them off the Czar.
-
The next step would be to cut the cord on the forsale subforum.
-
That just looks shopped.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I need to look into all that and then figure out how to adjust it.It took the guy 5 days to get it shipped so it's only just started it's first leg of the journey.

I'm currently trying to sell my bike for an over priced amount. Really don't know whether to sell it or keep it.

I've been on this forum 5-6 years now, and there's always been one and only one active female poster. Once another female comes along, the previous one disappears. Before you there was Hannah, before her there was that one girl that Simon got into, and the before her there was Char and then my memory gets a little hazy and I've probably missed a couple. Generally the females come on here and get a lot of attention from the forum because they're female, and then just get bored and wander off when another female starts posting. While they're posting they usually acquire a bike and never really get into it before disappearing. There are exceptions of course, possibly yourself who knows we'll see a few months down the line and Nadine who as far as I can tell is the only serious female trials rider who's ever regularly posted on the forum. With regards to the article, it seemed totally pointless and should have been left to an actual female rider. Seemed that the guy didn't really know where he was going with it all and just used the word dude over and over again until I couldn't read anymore. Talking about percentage of riders is too broad. 10%-30% of riders are female? Highly doubt that, but then again it depends on what you refer to as mountain biking. Riding along a smooth flat trail on a 200 pound bike, is that mountain biking? Or flying along trials at 25mph on a 1500 pound bike? I think if I stood at a local proper bike trail, I'd be surprised if more than 1 in 50 riders were female. But if I stood at a general family trail, the numbers would be very different. Female not getting into mountain biking hasn't got anything to do with attitudes towards the sport, it's solely about females being females. It's not in a females nature to fly down a trail getting caked in mud and risking injury. That's it, end of discussion. It's not because they can't find other females to ride with, it's not because there's no female specific parts (not that there really needs to be in the first place) it's just the same as there's not many male ballet dancers, loads in the top levels, but in the general population they're a tiny percentage.

Waiting for this to appear on my doorstep. Snapped it up on ebay for $600 (380pounds) delivered to my door. Was originally looking for something cheaper with cable discs, but V's will work just as well (didn't want anything hydraulic as I'd have to switch the breaks round to righthand-front break). Anyone have any advice in general for rear suspension? Only ever had hard tails so I know zero about it. The guy I bought it off said he's had it down to his LBS for a tuneup so hopefully it should be ready to go out of the box.

That's a Calzone! Looks good though. Oh I see you already said that. Ignore me!

Why no disc mounts? Surely in 2012 disc mounts should be standard on any decent frame?

Mind over matter. Had come raisin oatmeal things which were horrible, but then I found out they weren't raisins but dates. After knowing that I liked them.Preconceptions are a bad thing.

I believe they have sensors to tell the machine when they actually give out a prize. If that % is too low, it'll make the claw grab tight. I think what happened is dumbass kids missed so many good opportunities that the machines win to lose ratio was so far off it let me get away with two prizes.

Last night at work me and a co-worker were discussing how stuck up some of the stuffed shit was in the claw machine, not stuck up as is assholey, but as it sticking out quite high up compared to everything else. Shortly after that she got a coupon crazy customer who not only took 40 mins, 8 separate transactions, but had her 3 kids with her, 2 of which were about 5 and 7. As you can imagine they didn't exactly sit there quietly and wait patiently. After they were gone and I was done with work I put a single into the machine and told her I was going to win her the teddy wearing the USA teeshirt for putting up with that customer. Grabbed that b*****d's head and came straight out. Couldn't believe it. The I realized I still had another go. Red dragon in the corner. Bam, got that one too. Gave that to another co-worker as she always gives me rides home. Then I realized I really should have brought one home to the wife. Husband fail, but employee double win!!!!

I think Marks point about social networks / tartybikes makes the most sense than anything else that's been posted in here. You need help on anything technical, why find a forum when you can just call tartybikes? Why find a forum to discuss a meetup when you can just use facebook. I suppose it's a testament to what TF was pre-2007, a solid website ahead of it's time, but it's just become a little redundant. Which is a shame because there's no easy fix... in fact it's not even a case of a fix because it's not like it's broken.

It not only has to be super clean, but everything needs to be sterilized.

I haven't really ridden in over two years but don't really want to part with the bike. Sooooooooooo about that 18+ XXX request only subforum.... ?
