    Loans

Cheers Steve. That was all very encouraging and was just what I was after. I'm looking to take out the loan in the next couple of weeks. Only looking to keep it simple (Sub £1500). I'm not going to commit to it if I can't keep up with the repayments. Ideally I'm looking to spend no more than £1000 on a car and then the extra cash left over would be for the deposit for insurance. I'm still just looking about at the moment and it's just an idea in my head. Will probably pop along to my local Abbey (As thats who my account is with) and will sit down and talk with someone there. I had a look again on Money Supermarket and Abbey seemed to have a good rate on the website so I'm hoping if its the same when I go see them tomorrow then I will more than likely consider using them for the loan instead of a random company. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated As for that Vorderman and Tuffers statement... Cheers

    Loans

Hey yeah. I've been told banks aren't the best place to go for loans as they tend to have super high interest rates... I can easily afford the repayments. I wouldn't get myself into it if I didn't think I could handle it. Thanks for the info...

    Loans

Hey guys. I'm after getting a car but don't have the money at the moment. I've thought about getting a loan and so did a quick search on MoneySupermarket.com... I'm only looking to spend about £1000 on a car and then insurance so I was thinking of getting a £1200 loan. When I searched it came up with some reasonable deals such as borrow £1200, pay £104 a month and end up paying £1250 back which I can live with. So what I was wondering was what I need to know about loans. Are they a good idea and how long does it take to apply? I can easily make the repayments. So yeah just general info on it all please... Maybe who I should look to go with and the like... Thanks in advance
  12. Watched this last night. I loved 28 Days Later and although 28 Weeks Later will never be as good as the first, It's still a good film. The action scenes are awesome. It made me jump alot and as for the death scene in the medical centre, I think I was the only one who didn't look away! lol. I was loving it. Its a good film and I would go to see it again. I think people just have to give a chance really. People automatically think sequels can never match the first films, But 28 Weeks Later certainly does a good job.

  16. Ok lemme see if I've got this straight... My dads with Gladiator. If I wanted to go under his insurance, We'd sign up to say Direct line... He's the policy holder but I'll be put as the main driver?
  17. Yeah I know. Ahh well upto him really. Anymore info about going under parents insurance?

    Trials Wiki

Hey I just tried it. Works fine
  19. Yeah seriously. I don't know how but it did. He did it to his Uncles address lol. Was funny when we got pulled over by Essex police and they asked what he was doing living in London when the car insurance address was Yarmouth! His reply was "It's none of your business" lol.
  20. Yeah I know living in East London isn't helping my cause. I remember my friend getting insured on a Golf... because he lived in East London, it was either ridiculously expensive or they wouldn't insure him at all... So he claimed he lived in 'Yarmouth' and got it cheaper....
  21. Cheers guys. So how would I go about getting a passplus course? I've looked on the website but it doesn't really give any contact details or how to go about applying for the course... Also. Would a diesel be cheaper on the insurance?
  22. Right. Passed my driving test first attempt on Wednesday . So looking to get a car. Just generally browsing at the moment to see what there is and I would like to get a proper job before I go buying. Anyways... I got a quote on a 1996 5 door corsa 1.2, Third Party and it came out £1700+ a year. So I then got a quote on a 5 door Polo 1.0 1997, Third Party, and again it came out £1700+ !!! So my first question is: Why if there is .2l difference am I getting the same price on quotes when surely the polo should be a tad cheaper what with it being .2l less than the corsa? My next question is... PassPlus. Anyone done it? How much does it roughly cut the cost of your insurance by? And finally... Getting put under my parents insurance. How does that work? Cheers for your help guys... and gals
  23. I like it. Tempted to buy some F50 Tunits. How long does the sale go on?
