Alright ben i'll be there about 9.45ish. Usually come in off platfoms 1-6. I'll be riding the Onza T-Mag 05 and wearing red and black fox riders hoody and blue gloves. So yeah i'll stick out like a sore thumb in that dull station

Think you could pick up a decent enough frame for £300, if not, 2nd hand off the for sale section will certainly get you a decent frame in very good nick. Just a question of being on at the right time Being as its a 26" you're after I'm not really much help but I think fattys are still a popular option for forks with some people. Besides why would you want a seat? Don't you know that long low and silver is the new thang! Hope I've helped somehow

How comes a few of the old riders are starting again? Is it their new years resolution or something? Whats your budget is probably the main question and you going to be riding street or natural? Regarding the brakes its a battle between discs, Magura HS33 (hydraulics) or v's still. Most of the prebuilt bikes come with maguras front and rear unless they come with a front disc which is usually either avid, magura or hope is the set up i think people use now, but as for rear brakes, some bikes are starting to use disc brakes again such as the new 06 monty xlite and ive seen a few tasty planet x-zebdi with double disc yum if you ask me but most people i think you will find use a magura hs33 set up and either grind their rims or leave them depending on the pads being used. Also drilling various parts of your bike (mainly rims) is a craze as well to save weight. But yeah this post was probably really useless seeming as I haven't been riding long. Other members feel free to correct me On a final note.. Welcome back and sure you'll love it

Ahh well I suppose once you've had your bike a fair while we all get to know the individual little things that make it unique. Put a nice scratch down his car yeah but do it at night when the police aren't there and when he isn't anywhere near the windows also let his tyres down a bit did you by anychance get a look at him today? to see if it was actually the guy that stole it off you or if it someone else who so happens to have the bike?
-
I'm sorry i was just curious thats all. Wondering how you could tell thats all. But like I said before hope you get it all sorted
-
Just out of curiosity here. Don't spite me or anything? How do you know its your bike? I mean im confused about it but yeah it probably is just wondering how you knew it was your bike. Hope it goes well and everything. How you gonna get the guy? Arrange pick up and cash in hand and take the police with you? Want videos or pictures of the bust in action But on a serious note good luck with it all
-
hey granty do you run maggys by anychance? Just someone said I might have to file down my brake pad a bit as the rims are pretty wide? Just wondered tis all
-
Got a set being built up by tarty so will let you know how they feel when they return'th
-
Yeah I phoned Tartybikes earlier to find out how much it would cost to get a rear wheel build if I sent the echo hub and rim to them. Works out £26 i think, thats with the mutiny spokes and post and packaging. So hopefully have the stuff sent off to them Monday at the latest. What do you think the chances of getting the wheel back by either Friday 13th or Saturday 14th are like? Thanks again for all your help guys Also who said anything about a Zona Zip? I'm using an Onza T-Mag 05
-
Yeah but surely only a selected amount of space? This topic was just made for a bit of fun and to show off fit russian girlies. Why not just stick your hand over the frames and then they dont exist I didn't happen to see any frame in any pic
-
Hardly advertising. If it is then had best get rid of that topic with the monty girls because I seem to remember them posing with Monty's I didn't look at the pics and think my god if girls like that frame then I had best buy myself one because girls that fit would be swarming all over me. Therefore I don't see it as advertising plus some of the pictures don't even have the frame in, just the laydee's getting naughty Ahh well thats my two cents worth. I love the pics

Alright just wana clarify the set up i'm gonna have... Rear Echo 06 rim 19" in black 32h Echo 20" fixed rear hub 32h in black (but I have to use chain tugs so can i use these to tension the chain but leave the snail cams on to act as a spacer?) Spokes (recommendations please?) Have to be in silver I'm mixing it all up a bit with the colours Front Echo 06 rim 20" in silver 32h Echo front disc hub 32h in silver (Even though I'm running a maggie but in future when I get a disc ) Spokes (Again recommendations but in black this time please ) Cheers for all the help so far guys

So if I got say an Echo rear mod hub like the one on Tartybikes here: http://tartybikes.co.uk/image.php?image=echorearmodhub.jpg Then even if its 110mm it should be okey and the axle should completely fit in the drop outs? I also found that the tug end (the bit you adjust around the end of the drop outs) was a bit too close to the chain for my liking. Suggestions there?
-
I have to use the Onza chain tugs on the T-Mag to tension the chain but i do have a set of snail cams that were off my monty so I could use them as spacers? Any pictures or diagrams will help rid my confusion

Part time slave to the wonderful supermarket that brings you the very best for less... You've guessed it kids... Morrisons!! Work about 25 hours a week on £5.50 an hour now that I've just turned 18 so i pull in roughly £500-600+ a month but it all just dissapears

Okey briefing: I've got Will Arnolds old 05 T-Mag. I had a monty X-Lite before and so have had all the parts transferred onto the T-Mag. Problem: Upon trying to put the rear wheel on I found out the hub is to small. I measured the chainstays and they come up 120mm. Is this right for T-Mags? Measured the Monty hub 100mm. So problem is once I tighten the axle bolts fully, the non drive side of the axle isn't sitting in the chainstay because it's too short. I've got a set of Echo 06 rims waiting to be built up so I need to know what hub to use for the rear. I've had a look but all the hubs are only 110mm wide so still leaves it 10mm too short. I don't want to have to spend £160 because I can't really afford to and want to be riding as soon as possible. So Ideas gentlemen (and ladys if present) will be much appreciated. Also I've emailed Tartybikes about it all to find out how they get around it. So the task is to build up my rims asap with a rear hub that fits the 120mm stays. Thanks for anyhelp and happy new year to you all
-
Alas i am unable to ride now Rear hub is just too short in length to fit the stays so better get my echo rims built up now Absolutly gutted though. Hope you all have a great day of riding and make a vid, will cheer me up a bit
-
life saver. If they are then I want to have Halfords babys when I'm older! I didn't really fancy the idea of cuttin a bit off the stays. Silly dad. Cheers Joe should hopefully be going to the ride now If not then I'll have to miss out and bunk off work one Sunday. Cheers and cheers for the other suggestions
-
The thing is at the moment I'm crap with technical aspects of bikes But the nearest Halfords to me is the complete opposite direction from the station so I'd have to get there extremely early (What time do they open?) and then put the chain on before 9am so that I can ride to the station get a train to Liverpool street and yeah. But wait isn't Halfords open tomorrow? I remember Will saying he has to work tomorrow? But if not then yeah I suppose I could nick a bmx chain if its a bit longer. Otherwise I'll have to miss the ride and I work Sunday mornings so won't be able to go to one for agesss

Okey major problem.. Just got my T-Mag back from being built up with my old Monty X-Lite parts and find that I can't put the Onza Chain tugs on because the chains too short... I'm planning on going to the London ride on the 2nd Jan so its a disaster as I won't be able to get a new chain in time for Monday so I have two options... Could I use a link off of a bmx chain to extend the chain just enough so that I can fit the tugs? If not then Dad came up with the idea of cutting about 2-3mm off the end of the stays so that I can fit the tugs on. I need a quick fix as I want to ride London. Help pleaseeeeeeeeee
-
Everythings in jeapordy now! Dunno if i can make it due to the fact whilst sorting out my rear wheel ive found out my chains too short for me to put the onza tugs on Where am I gonna get another chain by monday have it all fitted and be alright?! Had to happen now
-
London obviously.. it's gonna be my first ride
