  3. Nah smithy you muppet get a hope (Y) James you work in halfords so automatically your crap at setting bikes up. I just leave mine alone and its fine, and I ride in the wet quite alot.
  4. Well I seem to break forks quite regularly so its probally not their fault they are cracked. They are really nice and stiff so I like the ride of them. They will last you alot longer than they last me I would imagine so I think you would get on well with them. If you decided to go against more onza's then I cant help really, the only forks I have never broken was my handsome dog silver bmx style ones, if they had a disc mount I would still be running them.
  5. Smart guys are pretty stiff, but my ones have cracked in 2 months. Not a very big crack but a crack none the less. You would probally get on with them quite well steve. (Y)

Looks nice, but john why would you want your maggie there?? ;) That must be a bitch to set up properly. And where are all the green components?? Do a proper job john.

    Kot Forks?

When changing fork lengths, I find it sensible to alter bar and stem height/angle to compensate. e.g. if putting longer forks on lower the stem slightly or vice versa, or to what ever feels nice.

I will try and get a half day at work so I will be in for 1 but otherwise its 6pm for me. Wayne I have added you, but your out tonight so there wasnt much point.

I would have bet my life that was hobbsie too. (Y) Great vid andy (Y)
  12. Sweet vid guys <_< Good stuff on the spinning disc thing in the park
  13. I used those mech cage things like you find on kiddy bikes for a while. They did take the impact away from the mech and just bent out themselves. You could then easily bend them back as they are steel. But eventually they come away from the mounting point which is a flat piece of steel with two holes in. Then they are useless and you need a new one. Only £5 but I couldnt be arsed with them any more. Plus if you hit the mech directly up, then it could bend the hanger aswell anyway. I think the best idea is make one out of steel so you can bend them back easliy.
  14. Wow who knew people would get so pissed off because people dont like somethings. Horizontal is good if you want to run no tensioner, not much else.
  15. I agree with luke on this one. Horizontal drop outs would be wicked on a streety play bike, but for trials I wouldnt like to have my chain un-sprung. Plus its such a hassle to get the wheel out and stuff. And setting the brake up would be gayness, plus I wouldnt like to have my wheel in different positions as the chain stretches, probally doesnt but I think it would effect the feel of the bike. Like constantly chainging chainstay length. Wow went off on one ;)
  16. They both feel awsome and are both strong as f**k. I would say the onza's look nicer. If you had onza's before I would try the wide ones out. I wish I had bought the wider ones. Price wise the onza's are more expensive but they are brining them out in an alloy bar so they will be the same shape but cheaper.
  17. So are you guys not riding oxford or reading then? So no need for me to book a day off work.
  18. People are not blind, you dont seem to have any real style in my opinion. I guess you could say sketchy was a style (Y) EDIT: Sorry I take that back. I guess you do have style but dont say people are blind just because they find it boring. They dont like your style, but style will come with time and experinance. Your not sketchy in the vid so I take that back. (Y)
  19. To be fair Adam Dani Comas didnt seem to get on well with his at all if you are refering to at the cycle show. His rear wheel was felxing all over the shop. Really bad. His rear wheel tension was sooooo bad it must have been horrible to ride. If your going to go rear disk make sure your wheel is f**king tight and tensioned f**king well and keep it that way. Even like that it will still flex. I wouldnt run a rear disk because a rear maggie with grind and koxx blocks is just to good. At least your KOT frame is ideal for a rear disk if yoour going to try it out.
  20. He does it in chain spotting aswell, and I think it in chainspotting that hawysey tries to do it to but cant get it. He does it in Tricks and stunts, for the riding up obstacles intro.
  21. Can I just point out at this point that "UCI street" is not a style, it just means you dont want to use your bash. And what I mean by this is that riding uci street doesnt mean you have style.
  22. On the subject of the riding being dated, I believe strongly that a sweet line/move will never look crap. For example the up that Martyn Ashton does in tricks and stunts up that huge wall in a car park where he goes up the grass slope and moto bikes it up the wall. That move still looks fantastic and I still bet not alot of people could do it. Good lines done well will never die.
  23. Hopes are 160 or 180 for mono trial
  24. I dont think you would call it a hook as its not a front hook with speed its a static move.
  25. No not just on a edge. The thing where you have your front wheel over the top of an object, for example a wall with a lip at the top. So you have your front wheel over the top of this lip and your hanging off your front wheel basically vertically. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....md=si&img=11717 When there is not really much lip at all then the brake can slip backwards and down.
