You can, of course, be self-employed and employed. The main question would probably be of tax; you'll pay income tax on the profits of your business and pay tax on your income from the bar. I think that both will have to be done by filling in a Self-Employed Self Assessment Tax Return at the end of the tax year. Your best bet is to phone HMRC, CAB or talk to an accountant. As for registering as both S/E and employed, I'm pretty sure there was a question on current (and continuing) employment on the form to register as S/E. Yeah, but they wrote a whole shop system in PHP/MYSQL using Notepad, it's a bit different to writing a basic site in HTML using Notepad. Also, no offense but if that's your best work then no wonder you charge £6.50 an hour. I need someone in the middle, perhaps £14 an hour!

I seriously can't see it taking 3 weeks! A full working day at a push. So how much would you charge for three logos (pretty simple ones)- main, small and icon size? Although, I was hoping for web-design and branding together, either done by the same company or them outsourcing. Tom
