  1. Rear wheel complete ready to fit tmz. Even my cat is doing trials now, just Soo exited about getting it built and ridden
  2. Corrosion and dirty seals seems to be top of the list for problems here. Sticky pistons leaking brakes chain skipping ect all due partly to dirty corroding parts. Or crashing, using the wrong oils
  3. 661 recon, fox flux, specialized tactic or if your feeling flush, poc trabec race or trabec The poc has lots of kevlar wraped round it to stop puncture damage and a kevlar skeleton making it much stiffer.
  4. Are the hope brakes we don't like the older models. Imo the new trialzone brakes ate much improved
  5. I probbaly put the wrong hub. It's the halo singlespeed hub same as the hope trial hub. Just different pawl setup. Taking a but of a risk trying it out for trials I just like the 6 pawl system it looks much like the insides of my tensile freewheel. I already had the shimano cranks I will probably get something stronger when they break.
  6. No disc only on this. SPEC will be. Wheels: halo xcs rear 6 pawl freehub. Halo xc front. Halo stainless 2mm plain spokes. 14mm rear nipples. Viz front and rear 24" rims. Try all stem 150 x 30 Easton haven bar ( tryall elite soon ) Hope trialzone front and rear 180 rotors. Shimano Deore ht2 cranks wit 22t and bash. Nuke proof electron pedals. Schwalbe fat albert 2.4 rear Tyre Schwale mow Joe 1.85 front Tyre Kmc 710 sl chain Tensile long tensioner with 15/16 cogs.
  7. If an obstacle is above bar height I find a good dab to lift your bike with your foot sorts out any problems you get
  8. Finished next pics on Friday of the full build can't wait to try it out now.
  9. Get a trials course built next to the skate park
  10. Silicon marine greace and copper greace are your freind
  11. Oil it up with o-ring lube (silicon oil) its the slipperyest thing on earth, it unseazes anything.
  12. Beats maggy, bites like maggy with braded hoses 3 boosters on a fresh grind on a hot dry day. Only discs do this when its pissing it down in winter
  13. Yes hope will replace a broken clamp, so long as you go to where you bought them from to get warrant on it
  14. Organise a stand at the next town show in the park. Or get involved with the local cycling club, yes even if its a road club
  15. Alloy still corrodes next time you see someone riding an alloy road bike check the bottle mounts and around the bb at the back. The paint flakes and the alloy corrodes And rubber corrodes so you brake seals corrode and bearing seals are corroding Alloy still corrodes next time you see someone riding an alloy road bike check the bottle mounts and around the bb at the back. The paint flakes and the alloy corrodes And rubber corrodes so you brake seals corrode and bearing seals are corroding not saying you need to clean and oil it after every ride but now and again wouldn't hurt
  16. The lever feel is much better if you want it to feel sharp. The hope is a little softer with more modulation. But the hold is the same they both stop your wheel dead. Both would make anyone on here happy they bought them. Shimano 2year warranty is good they fix any problem without question. So long as the brake is clean and cared for. Hope lifetime warrany on alloy parts. All rubber brass and pistons avalable to service the brake . Imo hope will keep you going for years and years Shimano for 2 then after your on your own
  17. It stops corrosion, helps keep the bike clean, helps reduce seazed pistons and seazing gear parts
  18. Freewheels are all failing here and there its luck and what happens to them during bedding in. Its not always how heavy you are its more down to how rough you are on the pedals. I f Used to pedal with a striking motion hitting the freewheel hard and used to smash all the freewheels I had. Now i preload the pedal carfully engaging the pawls before putting the power down. Been using a tensile 60 for months with no problems.
  19. Saw those fireworks threre was loads in town here too I got a free display out the living room window. Nt cat loved it. But my gf's cat shat himself Happy new year trials forum
