  1. Same here, I started ages ago in the 90's Around the same time as rob poyser. Seeing how good rob is at trials makes me wish I had stuck with the trials riding. Rather than having 9 years off.
  2. nice i should be coming to buxton town centre around 12
  3. I will be goin to Buxton to ride this sunday. If anyone's free this sunday to ride .
  4. i will come too i have never riden manc before
  5. Honestly the slx are just as good as the xt. They both use the same size brake pad. The deore uses a different pad. Though if this makes a difference I am still to find out
  6. i run +80, 1010, 350. with a 150 x 30mm tryall sloping stem and rockman rockbar, its properly low but i like it that way, years ago i used a tioga 150mm xc stem on a da bomb the stem had a 10deg rise. and that felt awsome on the back wheel
  7. get a custom frame made to do this to the bar position, then get told it will ride like a donkey.
  8. fit the rear under your seat for no hander hanz rey style
  9. i started riding in 1996 since then i rode trials to 2001 then i rode all this inbetween coming back to trials bit of homemade northshore progressed into northshorecomp riding in 2003-2006 then over to some dirt jumping and pumptracks. and back to trials now
  10. throw loads of salt on it it will break up the oil and then the rain will wash it away
  11. Ha ha when I used to work at the youth club the "young people" were taller
  12. So long as all the stem bolts clamp onto the fork. It will hold strong. If the fork doesn't come high enough and you have a bolt holding thin air it won't end well I like to have 3-5 mm from the top
  13. I do allready ride a +80 bb rockman. I can't see it being that bad really
  14. Great geo for a midget wouldn't you agree
  15. This will be the finished frame. With +110 bb
  16. You could drill 6 holes into the seatstays fit bottle cage rivets and bolt on a bridge cut out of alloy 5mm sheet. Then drill and thread the alloy to fit 4 point mounts. If you haven't got a rivet gun for bottle mounts try a bike shop. And if you aren't sure how to make a bridge. Jaf do custom parts,
  17. if you get hold of an old magura fitting kit they are adjustable.
  18. Shame to hear about the disc mount issues. The neon x ray has a similar geo to what you want. Though a bit lower bb. Surely tartys will sort you out a good deal if you buy your new frame there,
  19. i should ditch the seat post and just get this mental geo bike
  20. should i buy a protractor, i think i am missing a vital part in this does any one know what head angle this would make, or would that be tellin
  21. The pic doesn't seem to show on mobile for some reason. Custom ain't custom if its not mental. The post will be a alloy extention of the frame and will have a post fitted ontop of it.
  22. ok the idea i have is for a 24" that will feel like i am on my mod but with extra weight and larger wheels great for training. i have a seat post design in there to make it versitile enough to ride the short ride to and from work, as most my training is done during my commute. any thoughts ?
