  1. you mean fork oil? the thickness is rated in XXw (the w indicates the weight or thickness of the oil) most front forks use 5w or 7.5w to make them slower use thicker or higher number oils. i would usualy use 10w or 15w to slow forks down if you just need to top it up best you use 7.5w

  12. so long as you ride trails were no one can get a motorbike on, because some people are riding the trails on crossers
  13. i snapped one of those da bomb trials frames years ago i heard they were made for downhill n freestyle i am so damb hard. i think the answer you are looking for is all those moves n tricks you do that you feel a hard hit or see the parts flex are doing there bit toward it eventualy snaping. a few places i know genraly snap at are under the head tube on the weld under the bottom bracket where the chainstays attach forks on the steerer tube where the lowers are welded on and where the stem attaches. bars at the stem clamp crank axles in the middle and where the cranks attach brake mounts lever bodys on hs33's platform pedals chains the freewheel shell rims hub shells axles cranks all those i have seen snapped in some way or another. most caused by riders pushing the parts beyond there limits if you dont want to snap something the get a hybrid bike and ride the canal. ( but no one here would do that till were over 50)
  14. unusual? can you copy and paste the message you sent to tarty? normaly an online shop doesn't do a warranty on a cheap thing because the customer has left it to late for the returns policy or they are just being rude in e mails. i think your best bet is to picture the leaking bottle and e mail the pic to hope they will probbably send you a new one out free. on a posotive note tarts have warranted every faulty part i have had and all my mates have had. and with quick turn around in under a week. a great service in my opinion.
  15. i am in congleton. if you drive or can catch the train.
  16. i am surpised danny got on the back of guys bike, thats just mental
  17. Well its really too soon for me to say. I have only had the to axles in a week now. So far they seem fine
  18. echo use the best alloy you can get. i am saying i think alloy pedals have had there day, the newer nylon pedals are where its at
  19. i worked out that one of the nukeproof ti axles for the neutron alloy pedals will fit the electron with a little modification you also loose one of the sealed bearings dropping weight thurther. by my maths thats a 270g electron pedal. 10g heavier than echo ti platforms. but its £35 to replace the body, bush and bearing, you just buy a new electron every time you trash the body win win really
  20. I can't make it my funds won't strech to afford any comps now for a few months. Maybe next year I will do a fullhouse of nationals
  21. i have been running this for 4 months now and its still fine. i am pretty shure the regular heavy duty one will be plenty. just get this chain pal. and replace it every 6 months. for £24 a year its really cheap. http://www.parker-international.co.uk/12681/KMC-K710-BMX-Kool-Bike-Chain.html?referrer=froogle&utm_source=google&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=pid12681
