  1. Hi there, i have had both tensiles and middleburns in the past, both cranks worked awesome although i did have alot of problems with the bottom bracket on the tensiles because they are an isis fitting and the bottom brackets that fit it normally have crap bearing. I have found that square taper bottom brackets last longer because of the better quality bearings in them and middleburn do cranks for square tapered bb,s. Hope this helps you.
  2. i HAVE JUST BEEN LOOKING ON THE TRIAL NOIR WEB SITE TO DOWNLOAD VID 3 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN RAVING ABOUT BUT CANNOT FIND IT ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND IT ?
  3. Urm sort of, Skipton North Yorkshire
  4. Yep your right the reason i took it apart was because of info i had found on the internet about people saying strip them when you first get one, regrease it, then loctite it back up because some people reckon they are poorly put together in the first place! oh well live and learn i guess.
  5. Thanks alot for your views people, i just recieved my acs this morning, took it apart in the vice when the bottom dropped out and hundreds of the "£$%^& bearings flew everywhere. Just ordered myself another. Wont make the same mistake twice.
  6. Whatever fork you go for, go for steel fork, i also do street and have broken a few pairs of aluminium ones. A steel rigid fork is also going to be stronger than a suspension fork and quite a bit lighter.
  7. Yep i also give a big thumbs up to the last guys comment on hope hubs. i bought Akriggs old hope mono hub off him well over a year ago, i had never serviced it while i had it, sold it recently to another guy and its still going strong. If thats not a testament to a good strong hub then i dont know what is (Y)
  8. Yep cheers fella read your bit on welding, i have also read about people just using a strong locktight on the thread and that also does the job.
  9. Hi there, i have nearly finished building my edd tounge bike up and i am using a dmr rear wheel with a screw on freewhub. I have read mixed reviews elsewhere on the internet and the two that stood out above the rest were the acs claws and the new white industries one which i cannot afford anyway so i have ordered the acs claws. I would like your views from you fellow trials riders who use them or have used them in the past. Thanks alot. OLIVER
  10. If your after a streety bike go for steel if you can because the fatigue life is far superior to aluminium and steel tends to bend and dent instead of crack and snap like aluminium can. If you ever manage to crack a steel frame it is alot easier to weld back to its original strength
