1. This ones for anyone who ever been curious about the GoPro max - I know its got its weaknesses but I think its a really cool camera and can be used for some really creative stuff so let me convince you! It's along video... so if your short on time the most relevant trials bit 18min17sec Enjoy. [ ]
2. Might be able to use the xbox companion app on a windows pc then screen record by hitting "window+G" but i suspect oldskool videos might well be in vintage video codec's... maybe you can get VLC player on the xbox that might help.
3. HAHA your right its was Jimmy not Garry. Thanks for the link I have down loaded it just in case it disappears from pink bike too. #NeverForget Direct Link for those who might want to do the same: https://ev1.pinkbike.org/vf/19/pbvid-194996.mp4
4. This is great! a way back machine for trials videos. Hope someone's got the Danny Mac video where he's dressed as Gary Glitter! lol. Things like that shouldn't be censored out of history forever!
5. Good old Ikea I think... ours has sewing machine in it.
6. Vlog episode 5 Trying and failing to get a 24" Maxxis Holy Roller to run tubeless and setting up a Continental Danny Mac Air King with Rimpact insert. Let me know if you have any other hints and tips to perfect the setup. If your a student might be worth watching to the end. enjoy. sorry no riding this time
7. Hey Guys, Might be of interest to some guys on here, A vlog on how to switch a MT5 over to run a Shimano lever I know there's already a few videos on YouTube on how to do this but hopefully this one goes into enough depth that everyone should feel confident giving it ago! Fully time stamped for easy workshop referencing [and skipping my dulcet tones...] Video - Deep dive into how to convert to a Shigura setup. Also features a little mini street trials edit at the end. Hope you enjoy and don't be to harsh on my riding Laurence.
8. bombproof frames but wouldn't want to use that non standard disc brake mount without adding in a gusset between the chain and seat stay. Just sold mine great bike but time for a change! Fourplay here we come.
9. Cool glad you liked it had fun making it. Mostly wrexham except the waterfall that was near 'Abergwyngregyn' just off the A55 between Bangor and Llandudno. If i had any space left in the kitchen for coffee paraphernalia then i would definitely get a 'wanky' aeropress! lol. Good to hear you liked the concept No doubt i could have done a better job of it, but it is was it is, now! Yer the Pashley is still going strong (getting on 15years old at a guess) a great bike. I do have a bike addiction unfortunately for my very tolerant wife. DH - Orange 224 XC - Cotic BFe Street - Bungalow-bikes BridgeMkII (home made) Trials - Pashely @26Mhz Road bike - Condor Cylocross Mod - (broken) Municycle - (broken) Honda Z50 monkey - (Restoring) And counting....
10. I live in wrexham, Yer i always like to see a trials vid with somewhere you know well, it make it seem a bit more real/impressive (maybe not in my case...) have you got any vids of you riding locally? umm the bridge drop is probably a bit beyond my skill level! lol the waterfall spot was loverly to ride, but limited line choice for me as im not use to riding natural (will definitely ride there again at some point though) - I did fall in the river a few times... alass off the camera! I doubt ill do another film with coffee and teeth brushing in. lol. But thanks for the offer.
11. Just well timed, Wrexham in North Wales for those interested. A lack of night vision camera... so rather than a rather dull black screen i had to make do with the light on! lol Glad to hear you found it captivating. It's a hob top espresso maker (very common in other countries particularly Italy) If you like real coffee its the only way to make it! It gives a smoother flavour. the method of making it isn't that dissimilar to how Starbucks or Costa etc do it. You can pick a cheap one up for less than £10. It's the hippsters high caffeine drink of choice! so if your not in the mood for Redbull give it ago.
12. Thanks Nico, ill try and remember that in future. Laurence.
13. Firstly I should have offered apologies for my acting... Far from a regular poster here how do you embed a video in a post? (i did have quick search but not finding anything relevant.) also one other question how do you add your get creative vid to the group pages on Vimeo and Youtube? Thanks in advance. 14. GetCreative2 'Bad Dreams by Laurence Fielding' Based loosely on a true story.... My 2013 'Get creative 2' entry (A freestyle trials bike riding and video editing competition) Firmly in the 'Novice' category! GEEKBit: I filmed this video entirely by myself on my Panassonic LX3 compact camera, using a wide angle lens for some bits. Mostly mounted on tripod with the exception of the POV where i held the camera with my teeth! all zoom and pan is post production. unfortunately the max resolution of the camera is 720p so suffering a little after compression. Bike Ridden: Pashley 26Mhz frame Onza forks Hope front wheel and brake Middleburn cranks Chris king rear wheel Magura rear brake.
15. I popped a tape on it last night, it was only roughly done though! <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/89757560@N05/8166304154/" title="Pashley frame geo (rough ball park figures) by Laurence Fielding, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8202/8166304154_45621ea73a.jpg" width="500" height="361" alt="Pashley frame geo (rough ball park figures)"></a> Hope that works. kinda use to my stem now might be hard to change to get use to another. Seat post and possibly seat might change though. does this work: <a href=" title="Pashley frame geo (rough ball park figures) by Laurence Fielding, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8202/8166304154_45621ea73a.jpg" width="500" height="361" alt="Pashley frame geo (rough ball park figures)"></a>
16. Would like to change forks and seat post & clamp maybe get some fancy brake pads but nearly as i want it now.
17. Well he maybe a crap rider 'he isnt' but lets say he is for instant. You have to remember he has possibly the hottest girl in trials as his wife! Which i think probally makes him probally a pritty good rider (in-your-endo intended) lol. Anyway slightly more to topic. I think that his riding stile is very much a natural trials method as when riding natural you have to make every move count, there is no room for getting your balance, you have to go straight to where there grip etc. p.s. God would make a great trials rider but i dont think it would be very fun to let him play. as he kick ass!
18. I prefer the kujo 24" 2.35" nice tread and profile reasonable pinch resistance just not that easy to get hold of i found. spealized 24" dh pro is another choice very light but i dont really like it not sure why tread just wasn't for me was running a super think Halo tube (3mm) so punctures where not a problem! Laurence Fielding Bungalow-bikes.
19. I think the truth is that you get more respect from the 'general public' for riding a stock They can relate with it better they see it as the kinda bike they can buy in halfords for £100 Whereas they see mods as bmx without any pegs and no seat I lost count of the number of time I heard where's your saddle when I rode my mod. Now I ride a 24" and they just scratch there heads and say aren't you too old to ride bikes!
20. "Who would win a fight between Ryan Leech and God?" Good question! I'm a Christian and would have to say God but i have never seen him ride! But I think ryan must be a Christian too as he's married so young and has a hot wife who rides! So he might have God on his side! Any way enough of that manifesto is WICKED well smooth, I like his style. I try to keep to the manifesto logic when I ride but I don't get hooked up on it as it can be more than a little frustrating! Very good rider hope he comes the bike show one year! Laurence fielding of bungalow-bikes
21. The Creator speaks! Disclaimer: I'm no expert Yet! i'm still learning so im happy to be corrected! (be nice) How very exciting thanks for posting it up here beigemaster, travis or tyler or what ever you call your self on here phil! (of Kill Phil Vol.1 fame that is.) i started proper on redesigning the geometry today i think the changes so far will be The Bridge mk1 mk2 rear end length 375mm 400mm head angle 65 degrees 70 degrees also stand over will be higher to enable a slightly better seat height for peddling up hill apart from that i think most things will stay the same im guessing the longer rear end will be matched by the shortening of the front end due to head angle steeping thus similar wheel base other things im thinking of most likely first is: *MTB bottom bracket (think i might have to get some middelburns!) *A bolt though axle mounts (think i might need a Chris king) *Possibly magura mounts as well as disc tab (mono trial maybe) if i do all of the above i will have nearly enough components to build a second bike out of mk1!!!! I'm quite aware that the above changes in some cases will horrorfie some of the hardcore trials elite well fare enough the truth is try as i might you can't make a frame which pleases everyone The frame was designed for me and the type of riding i enjoy and thats pritty much anything which envoles 2 wheels (although i have had a go at uni cycleing - would recomend to any rider -might help with your balance but you will!!!!! find it fun.-) I get just as much of a buss dropping of a wall as i do hucking off a cliff which is why i designed the bridge. It aims to give you the ability to do both in reasonable comfort the design is not meant to be competitive in anyway its just for fun although i guess it would be ideal for an event like the bike battle. what the bridge is trying to do is be a platform on which a rider will have the ability to have ago at anything hopefully my next video will help explain this but that won't be released for a while due to my rubbish pc! (want a mac.) in summary 'The Bridge' is a frame i made because i like street, trials, downhill, park, free-ride, dirt jump, etc... and couldn't afford a bike for each discipline In response to some questions ask by people already: "Did i weld it myself" Yes very easy everyone should have ago a making a frame i got as much enjoyment out of designing and making the frame as i do riding it! "Front end height" Yes it is quite high could easily be a lot lower with different fork, stem, spacer, etc. But I like high bars, what can i say it makes me feel BIG! "Gussets around the head tube" When i designed the fame i intended on putting some open end gussets on it but in the end i decided not to the thickness of the tubing is quite enough (18 gauge for those in the know which in comparison to curtis 20 is thicker) the fame has been given a fare amount of abuse (anyone who has seen me ride will agree) and is still in one piece. "Make an aluminium frame." Well, i like the idea of a nice light frame but alloy has a fatigue life expectancy which basically means it will break eventually how ever smooth a rider you are. but im not ruling it out for a future project! Just before anyone says the magic word of TI it would be a nice solution to the strength weight problem but its very difficult/expensive to weld! Oh and the www.bungalow-bike.co.uk on masking tape at the bike show was my idea of low buget advitising! As you may have noticed i like talking bikes so anymore questions don't hesitate to ask, email me at loldotxxx@aol.com or just put in a post. Thanks for posting Laurence xxx ps a human on a bicycle is the most energy efficient thing on the planet! Thanks again for the feed back!
22. Hi first time of using Trials forum, as i normally use Section7.co.uk But they seem to be down at the mo and not many people use it anymore so i thought it was time that i changed over to trials forum As i have heard good things and the posts look pritty good. Anyway what you really want to know is about the video it's called 'Kill Phil Vol.1' it's about 13-14mins long and aproximatly 30mb in size Quality of riding is Amature -i say that but really we are the best- but we had fun making it! Style of riding is manly street and natural. you can down load it here at www.bungalow-bikes.co.uk Also visit the site if you want to see my home made 24inch bike 'The bridge'. Laurence
